Great video! As always. I'm doing the sinking funds, and it has been a life safer! Because of 2 sister bees I had all of my Christmas presents bought before the end of October and when Christmas came, I had cash to play games with all my guests because I had already bought the presents. Plus I scaled way back but everyone got 2 or 3 presents and the grandkids always get way too much from all their grandparents anyways. Thanks to you and April it was the best Christmas ever except could use some motivation on getting the wrapping done! I also love the sinking funds because that 6-month payment for the car insurance doesn't even both me and I was really proud of myself and actually paid it a month early. Keep in mind I only started last year and this is the first time I had the money ready for the insurance! I decided on 12/31 that I would clean out my saving challenges (games) and had $1770 spread out among them and then we opened a high yield savings account for the first time ever! All because you and 2 sister bees!!
So many accomplishments in such a short time! And that’s how it is, right!? We think it seems impossible but it really only takes that acknowledgment to start - and it snowballs from there! Pun intended 😅
I think that every one of us needs reminders about keeping "clean" on our budgets, like you've shown us. It's so easy to get off track and undo months of progress in one transaction! TFS Jenn!
Yes! We can’t ignore debt. We like to but….. it’s going to bite us in the butt at some point! 🤣 I’m glad you took the time to review your spending - sometimes that’s all it takes. 💛
Inflation is wild. Even with housing and car payment at under 25% and 10% as you said, everything else is getting so expensive it's really only functional to just cut cut cut expenses outside of those realms.
I already have my emergency fund and I’m paying off my debt using the snowball method. I also am cash stuffing my sinking funds. My household bills are paid digitally 💜💜
❤❤ that first part was speaking to me about having watched all those videos and still struggling. Honestly, I have paid off all my debt due to selling my house, but ive spent much more than I first intended!

That’s so ironic that you commented this. My youngest is 21 and I have been trying to get a good time for the two of us to talk about her doing exactly what you are doing! I think that’s a great way to keep spending under control and make sure your responsibilities are covered. Awesome job! 💛

I hope she comes because she would really benefit from this video. I loved it and dat down and looked over my budget and got some things into perspective. Thank you so much
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you guys find these videos helpful- I’m always a little apprehensive when I post them - thinking, “ok- let’s see how this does!” 😅
Hello have just started to watch your videos and let me say you are amazing at explaining everything! We are on baby step 2 of the Ramsey process and have been cash stuffing for two months now so thanks for explaining the 4 stuffing methods!
I am at Emergent Bee half way there, I do have a few cash stuffing but I am still having trouble getting my budget the way I need it. I do have all my things wrote down on budget sheets and pay every week so that is where I am at and working on getting my budget where I need to be. you are awesome helping out the way you both do. Thank you for all you do...
Oh yes! Halfway! You are ahead of 63% of Americans who can not cover a $500 emergency! Amazing! Keep it up! Don’t forget that it takes 3 months of budgeting to get it moving in the right direction - keep going with it, you’ll get it! 💛💛💛
This was such a helpful video! I had been cash-stuffing just fine the last few months but with having to move in 4-5 months it's been making it really hard to stuff for anything besides bills and moving since moving costs so much. It's extremely stressful trying to budget everything.
Thanks for breaking everything down it makes it simpler and clearer especially for new beginners that are starting on this cash journey. I love your videos! I’m teaching this with my children and family so they understand the importance of handling their finances and to stay out debt. Can you also explain more and do a video for people with lower income, monthly paychecks, tithe, teenagers, and college age children? Thank you! 😊
Thank you very much! I’m so excited to get started on this journey and l can’t wait to see more of my family getting excited about it as well. I have also shared some of your videos with them too.
I just recently started the monthly budget book that for me with my chemo brain is difficult due to all the credit card debt we have and when we get paid. My husband gets 2 retirement checks one from the mill he used to work in and the other retirement from the military and disability from military. Then he gets his work money from maintenance at a restaurant then I get my SSI from disability from cancer and early retirement due to cancer. So for me it's difficult to figure this budget book out. I have a computer sheet that has everything on our bills and as each is paid those bills gets marked off and whatever is left over no matter the amount is for food. I have just started setting aside the different amount from raises to put in my 100 envelope challenge so I can get out of debt. My credit card debt is 1471 per month. That amount needs to come back so I can save as we are both in our 60's.
Yes! Get that credit card debt out of your life. I like hearing how you are diligently working on it- despite your health setbacks- you’re a tough cookie! You’ll get through this- there is light on the other side! 💛
Q Loved this video. Just wondering when you spend such as dog and hubbies drinks. Where do you take this from to pay in the first place? Do you not withdraw to cash stuff? Or do you withdraw cash and put it where. I am a card user and just wondering how to start do I cash stuff? I am in Australia and we have $1 & $2 coins which makes it hard to cash stuff.
I try to save aleast 20 a week in twelve different envelopes. Mine and my hubby hours are cut at work. So 20 is what I can save. Right now I cannot do my side job. We have ice on the roads and I don't fell comfortable driving in the snow
That’s good that you are staying consistent with saving- no matter what. Keeping those good habits up! And girl- you are talking to a Floridian - I don’t do snow, either! 😅
I am definitely an overspender. Especially a social overspender. I love to treat my friends and family. But it isn't helping me personally for my future. Need to set spending limits.
Same here- we had to start thinking about us. It can be hard at first but it gets easier and your friends and family will understand. It was an adjustment for our kids - we now have them pay back loans and we don’t buy them things just because they say they want it. It’s a lot better for all of us.
@@2SisterBees I have two daughters in their 20s I spoiled all their lives so will be a shock to them. I made a couple monsters. Well my ex wife didn't help in that either as I still support her 🤦♂️ As my dear friend Jesús says "no. Say no." 😂
@@2SisterBees I have a feeling if I tell my kids it's a loan they may ask for help less so that may be a good idea. I do pay for college and that sort of thing which I budget for but they like shopping trips as a hobby and it's really unnecessary. 😂

That’s actually amazing- very hard to do in today’s society. We are marketed to by credit card companies and banks non stop. I think it’s getting harder and harder for each generation. When I was growing up, it wasn’t too crazy but now…. That’s all they see. Buy, spend, borrow and go into debt.
I am so so guilty of this. It’s so easy to do when we are all so busy. Just make a contract with yourself to save that instead- pick a goal and write it down. Set a time limit to when you could reasonably meet that goal and track it! You can do it- so worth it! 💛
