If I may add to your esteemed students and trainers alike:
House Job ( Internship ) is a must to become a licensed General Practitioner. This is very customary in almost every country!
Please, do pursuit an accredited residency training and then a subspecialty Fellowship in any of the clinical disciplines , or alternatively Masters and PhD in any of the paramedical sciences for an academic career.
While at it, consider Clinical Pathology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Hematology, it really pays off in this modern world of healthcare services.

Sir Usmle is not an easy exam. They usually do not hire you if you do not have some clinical experience from USA at least (that is hard to get unless you are financially strong or have some contacts). You just get one chance annually to APPLY for a job, which is insane. Competition is getting higher each year.
Thank you for this wonderful video.

I want to share my professional experience regarding the Public Health Service of Pakistan (special context to KP Province). Although not a Doctor or a Health Professional, but associated with this sector as M&E since a decade.
Sir, apart from Specialist and Management Cadres, there is another Cadre of Doctors, known as General Cadre.
Normally, positions of Medical Officers, in BPS 17 are advertised and candidates
that have merely completed one year house job, are eligible. Once they are hired and posted, they obseve no compulsion or feel any consideration, for a Specialisation or qualify for Administrative/Management Cadre.
Young MO's, that successfuly complete their post Graduation, either on Clinical Side or Administraion Side, have to wait for the announcement of the Slots in the Department, and then appear in the Competition.
Remember, they have full a job security, and not not to worry if they don't do any post graduation.
There carrier will simply proceed, without any loss, retiring as a Principle Medical Officer in BPS 20.
During there tenure as a PMO, they would either be posted in a DHQ/THQ Caregiry A or B Facility ) hospital under an MS or as an Incharge of a Rural Health Centre or any Category B/C Hospital, mostly licated in a remote or Suburban area. They will be doing a side by side private practice, just
referring the patients visiting in OPD and earning a Suzeable amount, much much more than their Govt Salary. The Social Status will be the "Icing on Cake".
I have reservation on it, on account of lack of appreciation and motivation for the young enthusiastic Doctors.
This Short Cutt approach is like a Backdoor in the Prifessional Carrier Health Sector. Must be minimisedand needs regulations.
Sir ur feedback will be highly appreciated for my learning.
    Thanks & Regards,
    ❤ from Abbottabad, Pakistan.8
