Oh my god this sounds absolutely insane, i might actually download this game again. For the HSR players, did the game get any better from what it was like in it's initial release?
depends on how you wanna define better.
penacony's story while very text/cutscene heavy(i mean theres parts in the 2.2 storyline thats 30min of just cutscenes reminding me of final fantasy lengths) was honestly very enjoyable to me especially after i felt let down by the xianzhou(not that it was bad but there was just something with the way it was done that just made me lose a part of the enjoyability with it). music's obviously amazing and 1 of the things ive never had a complaint about in this game.
the game itself does reach a point still though where once youve gotten caught up your daily stuff will usually be done in 20-30min tops where once a week youll need to spend longer to do 2x sim uni runs(theres a qol to speed this up starting next update), every other week youll need to do the rotating game mode, and of course when theres a new event/expansion do the content for it. there has been 2 more updated modes to sim uni and a third one coming next expansion that also allows for you to use any character and have them boosted and geared somewhat to use(thus very new player friendly)
combats still the same but theyve expanded the different teams with characters that have been released so theres now more styles of play then crit damage stacking dps that are easier to get into then before. dot teams, follow up attack teams and weakness break teams are all things that while the original release did have characters that fulfilled some of these team types there were not as necessarily specialized in these roles as newer characters.
they did add an energy reserve system so no worries if you dont spend all your energy each day as there is a pool that will save up quite a bit of excess energy for you.(as to why genshin never thought it was a good idea after it got implemented in here ill never understand)
coming back now the next set of banners the first half of the update will have what looks to be honestly the most stacked banners you can ask for while the 2nd half is a complete joke in comparison. honestly the games f2p so if your interested worst you can do is grab it try to progress through the story and see if you wanna keep up with it as its not like youll have to buy an expansion or anything for it.
@@namidairo1573 Thank you for the very detailed answer! I guess i'll download it again, my main problem with the game was definitely the story, so hearing it gets better is very nice. As for the story having alot of text, it's not really a problem for me since im a BA player, so im used to walls of text lol. To be honest, the main thing that made me want to get back into the game was that new character that just got announced (the girl with the robot armour) she's just so cool lmao
@@henryy1 the mech girl comes out next patch so you came back at the right time if you do decide to come back.
@@henryy1 related to the Mech girl you mentioned, the Myriad Trailer video has appeared showing flashbacks of her past during the war with several of her comrades.
I also suggest you read the description of the "Glamoth" Planar Ornament, and some in-game lore regarding the Glamoth Iron Cavalry if you are interested enough in the character

But the game is in a super good spot right now especially with the story - and if you're interested about Firefly (the girl in the armour), it's the perfect time to jump back in!
