I like the way Ed 'reholsters' his mallet at 2'42" - much in the way that Clint Eastwood would put away his Colt 45s after a bar-room shoot-out. The only thing missing was Ed blowing the smoke away from the end as he did so....
My mallet is 42 inches tall with a 12 inch head, I like to think lighter is better although its hard to achieve with such a large mallet, so mine normally sits at around 2lb 12oz where I'd prefer 3 or 4oz lighter. Honestly its whatever works for you, a few inches below the belt-line is generally a good initial indicator for height but beyond that its all personal preference.
The video is good, however it is somewhat ruined by the very poor audio quality. Recording volume is too low , and wind noise in the microphone irritates. I would like to see some slo-mo repeats of the jumps to better see the strike point for the mallet. Great skills evident with this player.
This is quite interesting. I can do a reasonable jump shot from about a yard away. This has shown me how to improve on that. Thanks.
No worries, I hope your distances improve.

That's cool. Would be interesting to see them in slow mo as well. Maybe also from the side so one can better see the contact position and "bounce"?
You can slow mo it yourself in RUclips, change the playback speed under settings
Ideally "super slow mo" would be clearer, but sure - that's a good tip.
Where can I find a good mallet like yours?
Can’t hear him. Can you recreate but with useful audio? Looks very helpful
Can you tell me what mallet you have? What make? Height? Weight? Thank you so much.
