9:18 its one of those greatest goosebumps moment in video games history
one of those moments that made you say "fuck now I gotta wait 2 years"
that was emotional
It sure is I left college immediately as soon I received a text saying my game had arrived. I got up and walk straight out the room and down to the train station. The first time i booted up the game and watch the intro sequence I had goosebumps, hands down my favourite and most anticipated game of all time.
I like when it sync in the credits 🙂
Andrew Michael If you don't have 3:55 at full volume, then it's not loud enough.
''Da - I know a place!''
Just no words how this ends with the music!!
Too good.
Chills every time
When I hear it now the nostalgia hits harder than knife hits shepherd's eye
Himachal Pradesh, India
AND THEY MESSED IT UP IN THE REMASTER!
Hans Zimmer you never fail
Zimmer only made the main theme
Marrvyns Willames True, but the main theme is in this video, in the credits. Lorne Balfe did an amazing job with this though. It wouldn’t be MW2 without his soundtrack. He practically made the game.
benrlego yes
The entire human race doesn't deserve Hans Zimmer. ;-;
Lorne bafle made it you idiot
9:18 beating the entire campaign on veteran and getting to that scene is truly a special feeling
Especially after the hell that is trying to leave Estate with that damn DCM 😂 took like 4 hours and the only time I was glad to get to the Shepard betrayal
I beat it on veteran
@@Niko56783 same here man
@@Niko56783I just beat it on veteran for both consoles Xbox and PS3
@@kingkaim5168I'm doing Veteran runs for all my CoDs on PS3. Finished MW2 yesterday. Now I'm going to MW3
I swear to god when i played this game i was 11 years old i completed it on recruit and when the post credits rolled at 9:18 i started clapping so hard that my sister came to my room to check what happened at that time i knew that it is the best game i've played in my entire life and now i am 20 years old and to this day this is my all time favorite game the campaign was such a masterpiece and hans zimmer killed it with his epic music.
I stood up and saluted instead
My eyes are getting wet every time I listen this music. So much history, so much fun, so much pain and tears are in this game. I was 12 when I played this game and I am also now 20 but man man o man. This will always be my favorite game.
Lol you like the remaster
@@kriemie1273 I played this game in 2010 still playing this game. I am just turned 34 years old. In future my kids are going play this Modern warfare series
A true gamer story that I can salute to.
9:50 look at this.. our heroes and anti-heroes, just standing there as museum exhibits. Don't know where the creators got the idea.
But this game has SOUL.
Night at the museum
this is the best cod music ever 9:18
BaconScout42 I know right
That's Hans Zimmer for you. He makes the best soundtracks.
hrthrhs Don’t forget Lorne Balfe. He made the rest of the game’s brilliant soundtrack.
No, Mason's theme is the best xd
@@ohhellosr9998 Hell no.
9:17 still gives me goosebumps now after 14 years. I was 15 when it launches, OG MW will always be the best COD franchise in my heart forever.
I will never ever forget this game. For me best game of the last decades, the singleplayer is just legendary.
with you there
Cem aynen
Ikr, they should remaster mw2
yeah bro!
Idonthaveanyideasfor aname they will but with no multiplayer
I want the call of duty franchise to be back like this.
L well theyve gone back to the old the old franchise by setting the next one in world war 2
CoD WW2 looks trash though.
It will never be the same
MODERN WARFARE IS BACK
I came from the future and MW 2019 is the cod you were waiting for
Shepard:Killed after escaping a crashed helicopter
Makarov:Killed after escaping a crashed helicopter
:/
Zakhaev: Killed after walking in the middle of the road, this is why you look both ways
couldn't find something orginial well blame sledgehammer for it the writer for iw already left back in the time
Zakhaev: Killed after a Helicopter was crashed down.
Moral of the story - don't get in a helicopter
Barkov: Killed in a helicopter.
Every aspect of this game pushed boundaries and no corners were cut. It was a cinematic masterpiece complete with a score from Hans Zimmer/Lorne Balfe. I don't think we'll ever see anything quite like it.
Lorne Balfe's work on Bad Boys For Life had a LOT of Modern Warfare 2 vibes.
The days when cod was cod and not some bullshit.
Mw3 was the last good cod
+Ross Rae I agree.
+Ross Rae sry, but the multiplayer of mw3 was complete garbage. The spawns were utter shit in every game mode except tdm, poorly designed maps which didn't have any 'flow' at all, unbalanced as hell in terms of weapons, perks AND killstreaks (everyone was using the mp7 or acr, assasins was op as hell, especially the pro version and a stealth bomber in the support package, i mean WTF?!). So no, mw3 was NOT the last good cod game, bo2 was better in almost every aspect. The campaign was alright though :D the only CoD game that managed to be even more complete shit was ghosts...
***** I have no need for a Call Of Duty. Battlefield for the win! #ripcod
battlefield is a piece of sh*t
12:25 when the bass comes in :') when COD had a great story, soundtrack and multiplayer. RIP
10 years ago this game came out, still one of the most memorable games of our generation. Will never forget this game, ever.
The greatest game of our generation
When i was 7 or 8 i was so pissed off at shepard
This game was a cultural phenomenon, met so many different people who played this and still talk to today!
From beggining to end, this game is a masterpiece.
In my opinion this is the best campaign:)
I think everyone can agree on that XD
IKR! When I first played call of duty it was when MW2 had just come out. I played the campaign a few times over. The whole time I played I took for granted because at that time I was new to cod and didn't fully appreciate that campaign. Today I realize how amazing MW2 was and still is. I will admit its multiplayer was kind of broken though. HOWEVER I could play every campaign mission at least 600 times; something I can't say about many of the following games. MW3 had a well designed campaign, it wasn't bad but there are never times where I'm like "I think I'll go replay this mission RIGHT NOW". Only MW2 can make me say that about 95% of its missions
Yup exactly lol its just the best one out there
SM Byte yea this and waw
Black ops and MW2 had good campaigns. MW2 online gameplay and black ops missions
"Nikolai, we gotta get Soap outta here..."
"Da - I know a place."

😭😭
Nikolai is best character in MW series.
Then it leads into mw3
Its epic ending
Proceeds to Yuri
its sad that this game is 7 years old this brings back all the good ass memories
its sad that old COD:s were the best, but you cant buy these easily. And its sad too that your shitty gane called "Fortnite" has taken over world.I miss these old days when life was great.
And now it’s going to be a decade old soon.
It's already 10 years old
Almost 11 years old now, but at least we got the remaster now
15 years old now. Good times
I hope they remaster this game, this is one of the best games of the century. The gameplay, story, setting, music, and everything else is just perfect.
They will
They did
@@shafeekabdool3466 chills
Hans Zimmer take a bow, still remember the first time I ever played this campaign, now I'm 27 and still play this masterpiece it will never get old❤
2009, was one the best year of my life. MW2, H3ODST, New super Mario Bros. Wii, Metroid Prime Trilogy, so many games in one year, grouping up with friends to play all of these badass games...
a legendary game with legendary credits. RIP Classic Call of Duty: 2003-2014
Call me veteran, but I like this version a lot more than the remastered xD
It’s so much better done here it’s actually baffling. The remaster is great but the character models for Shepard and Captain Price and this moment in particular are botched really badly.
Releasing the remastered vers. gives me nostalgia
Both
7:37 this is what ruined the moment in the remastered.. the way soap spins the knife is so much better than what they did in the remaster..
Best campaign, with the best semi-ending.
I totally agree with you!!!!
AGREED!
I miss "Call of duty" so much, I don't know why in 2013 they changed it to "E
sports and multiplayer are only priority because gamma and faze are so sick"
The music is AMAZING, the story is AMAZING, the credits are AMAZING, nothing left to say about MW2’s campaign, 😘->MW2
9:18.... I cry tears of joy everytime I hear this 😭😭
"Da- I know a place."
9:25 i think of ghost's death and i almost cry :(
+TheRealQuinnMorris fuck you
*We All Did M8*
love the music
me too
10 years ago I watched the greatest game get rejected and the world just fuckin’ watched
-Shepard
I don't know how, but this game still has better graphics than some other games that came out this year.
Like what games?
This ending has always carried that bittersweet feeling that all cliffhangers really should. You've killed General Shepherd and avenged your friends, but you're war criminals now, Makarov is still out there, thousands of soldiers and civilians are already dead and the war has just begun...
Modern Warfare 2, my first COD and one of the most exhilarating experience I have ever had in an FPS... this memory, is truly hard to forget
This my first call of duty campaign I have played, for me this is the best campaign ever of call of duty history!
The wait between mw2 and 3 felt so long, such a good ending but still a cliffhanger. Makarov's still out there, shepherd's defeated but tf141 is wanted, Russian invasion, DC is nuked
Not often the sequel lives up to the first one
The good ol days of the modern warfare games.
I lost 30,000 men in a blink of a eye and the world just fucking watched -General Shepherd
This makes me emotional coming back
remember that all nighter you pulled in 2009 beating the campaign? just unlocked a memory, thank me later :)
still get goosebumps after 7 years 9:07
😢❤❤
you can see how infinity ward hate activision 14:43
???
jy02250883 haha xd
the fact it scrolls faster than the rest of the credits
*Activision Made Cod*
*Two Separate Teams Made The Mw Franchise And The Others Made The Blackops Franchise*
@@theatomicjelly9334 Infinity Ward made CoD
My favorite video game of all time. This ending still makes me feel so passionate. I only wish I could play the campaign again for the first time.
in MW2 this Soundtrack makes you feel the power of the game itself, compensating for its end with that epic sequence of raising the tone as if summarizing in a sound sequence all the power of this installment
This was my first time playing any call of duty game, and man when I finished the game, I was in absolute awe. It was such an amazing game and not once did I ever get bored playing it because of how fun and just entertaining it was. I'm kind of sad though now because I finished it in like 2 days and I really wish it could have been longer lol.
I used to play BF1942 then i switched to codmw2/3...legendary games
[ 9:00 ]
I haven't played MW2 but this moment is that awesome so I think this is the most epic ending in COD history. The soundtrack is just amazing!
the crafting of each one of the character in this game is just mind boggling
I refuse to accept and tell people that this game came out in 2009. For me this is a game from 2019
Best campaign story ever made. Could even beat blockbuster war movies
Every time I see this ending with music it makes me feel the greatness of captain price and soap and all of task force 141 gives me much more chills than anything else
Facts. This is the embodyment of TF-141 most importantly Soap and Price.
Hans zimmer is the best one and ever will be...what a genius
My first and favorite CoD MW2 WaW, i actually miss those REAL CoD not new flying shits like AW or BO3.
I wish Museum was something that CoD would've kept doing, plus a credit sequence like this. I remember playing Endgame over and over to not only get Shepherd, but to see the credits. I miss MW2, even if it was iffy in some aspects.
10 years later.
2022 who still?
Imagine seeing 9:18 on the big screen at a theater. With the right director and casting I feel they could adapt this into a really good screenplay.
best cod ever made
and the ost is legendary
End credits man. Hans zimmer is a legend. White House end rush best track
I am still very unreasonably mad that little twirl animation Soap gives to the knife before throwing it is not used in the remaster 🤔

Modern warfare triology in military based games.. Is pretty much like.
The dark knight triology in the superhero genre
Makes me yearn for IWs original vision for MW3 and what they game would've been if they'd have been allowed to develop it on their own terms.
Well they wouldn’t have killed off Soap (the main protagonist) that’s for sure.
Thanks you, this is making my eyes watery, I remember playing this mastepiece when I was by the age of 10.
When i first got my xbox i pretty much enjoyed playing mw2 i still play it when i first started playing mw2 i knew that it was no longer brand new it was just new to me

Legit my favorite cod. Nothing that came after it was even close to beating. I could play this game all day.
Best game ever made. Nothings beats it.
A lot of people will say debatable but it's hands down one of the best games most people have played.
Foxy Manaic yeah probably, but when you combine the campaign, multiplayer, co-ops. The graphics for its time and the Maps themselves I think not many games can match it. Not even later cod:s....
@@erixx297 yea that's true. 100 percent true.
they should make a movie on the modern warfare trilogy

The best Call of Duty I ever played

Rip Remirez, history only shows him getting punched by a juggernaut
You know its good if it say's at the end of the game

"the best call of duty ever"
This game made me feel like we were actually fighting for something. We were all a unit and all as one. United together as a fan base. And united under one goal: To defeat shepherd once and for all.
Anyone remember the wait for mw3? Wondering what "a place" was ? Wondering what would happen to Soap and Price? Truly the best shooter games ever made, a beautiful time of comradery and joy on playstation 3 and xbox 360 with friends and strangers alike. A simpler time in gaming and life.
Every like is one RIP for Ghost and Soap👇👇😔
Make Call of Duty Great again !!!
10:35. “And remember, no Russian” THIS WAS MY MISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best game of this decade and Activision bring back games like this
9:16 The remastered version's music is not synced and it so obvious it pisses me off so badly
I downloaded, played and sat through the campaign to see those 5 seconds again and they ruined it. Had to jump online to relive it the good way.
I know right??????
Soooooo true
I thought i was the only one who thought that way dude
I still get goosebumps to this day when i see this
that ending held so much promise
Shepherd: *gets killed with a throwing knife* "you honestly think you're fucking funny, fuc-"
First game i ever played, i was 5 years old and would have so much fun on this game with my brother, i miss this.
My favourite cod game ever
Mint ending theme music, goosebumps mate haha
I love this game so much. And one of the many reasons is because of its campaign and soundtrack. God bless Hans Zimmer, a genius
Mi infancia :'(
The original holds up so well I thought this was the remaster at first
I lost 30 thousend men in 3 years and the world fuckin watched that moment,
