You can also make the bass mono, by adding a FabFilter ProQ 3, set the stereo placement to side and lowcut from 90hz to 120hz. and can use whatever stereo plugin you like

Idk if you’ll see this, but one of my friends told me cymatics Diablo with punch at 20% plus an EQ with a bump between 75 and 150 hz makes the kick punch like crazy. I’ve yet to try it but his drums hit hard af so give it a try and lmk how it sounds on your beats!

one thing i like to do on my drums for beats is make a bus and route all the drums to the bus then add some compression to glue it to the mix just a tad bit

Slip lemme help you with phase gang...basically since waves move slower as frequencies go lower, bass frequencies clash in stereo. High frequency waves move so fast that you don't notice it in stereo, but you need the L and R timings to be slightly different still to make it sound stereo to our ears. Hope this clarifies bro

Mixing also depends on what kind of drill you making still cause when you make dark drill you need to mix it a certain way compared to making a melodic drill beat

Why do you use a seceond EQ on the 808 to cut the higher frequencies and boostings mids, instead of applying these settings also on the first eq?
