Ciara is terribly underrated! Like I literally discovered this video just about now!!! What a shame. I don't understand why she isn't promoted as much as Beyoncé and Rihanna (apart from the fact that her songs aren't commercial/catchy enough, I don't see any other reasons).
Well Rihanna had already reached a place where her videos didn't get anything less than 100mil years ago so promotion for her is automatic, she's just that popular. When it comes to Beyonce, she was already big by the time Ciara popped up on the radar and hasn't stopped working hard since. I do agree though that Ciara deserves more attention. I swear she was on a roll from her 1st single Goodies->Oh->Get Up (I know I'm skipping singles keeping it short) and then all the sudden things started to change popularity wise and I kinda blame it on society. Trends changing, value of music changing, shift in what music is considered popular enough to be mainstream..I'm no expert tho just my observations..

I agree with you, but I think it's a little late in the game to acknowledge it now. I actually think that Ciara is a far better dancer than Janet. Back in the day, most artists would either imitate Michael's dance moves to the point of it being so obvious or they would try to make slight adjustments to them & try to sell them off as their own. Either way, the outcome made them look completely foolish, in my opinion. I love Janet & have always been a huge fan, but her style was/is very formulatic (sorry, I don't even think thats a word!😀) at best. Paula Abdul worked with both, Janet & Michael and had said that it was Michael who had the raw talent & unique style where Janet basically studied, learned & executed the routines she was taught. I'm not intending this as any disrespect or insult to anyone here, just merely stating my own personal opinion is all. I love the fact that Ciara has taken some of MJ's signature dance moves & implemented them into her own current & up to date choreography. I'm sure that if Michael could see the end result he would be not only proud of her accomplishments, but also impressed by them. I just wish more people were aware of her & the amazing & multiple talents she possesses & performs seemingly effortlessly. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

It makes me sad watching this video because you know this girl could have taken it to another level. While I am a Beyonce fan, she could NEVER do anything this good in a video. And when you see acts like Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Shakira, and the list goes one...while they are all beautiful girls and recognized in their own right...None (and I mean NONE) of them can f*cking dance like this!!!. To see a talent like Ciara with drop dead gorgeous looks, insane dance skills (I'll say it...similar to Michael Jackson himself) and a beautiful voice (b/c let's be real...no one goes to a Beyonce concert to hear her voice) but a career that came to a halting end (for no apparant reason) with no recognition to her rare talent...really makes you think that maybe Dave Chapelle was right...maybe there is something funny going on in that business that isn't talked about...because you can't tell me this girl couldn't have gone head to head with Beyonce herself and (after seeing this video) maybe even surpassed her. One thing I do love about Ciara is that when it comes to her music she has full creative control and always paying homage to those that influence her and her music over the years. Sometimes it pays to just be yourself instead of jumping all over the place. her music not always hopping on hot Trends in music she does what feels right for her living her life to the fullest never settling for Less encouraging others to do the same and level up their life.
She has full creative control NOW but she had to go through years of label mess (executives deciding what singles she should release, what her "look" should be etc) . It's only now after close to 20 years of all that noise that she owns ALL of her masters (Warner Bros., her previous label didn't believe they were worth anything and just gave them to her... for FREE!), owns a label and is able to do business however and with whomever she wants!
