Hey hey hey.. gotta upload this to free up some phone space 😆. But I am really happy and glad that I get to share a glimpse of what we, Commercial Cookery Australia students in Academia do in the kitchen. Though, there are some slight difference due to Covid like less students in the kitchen, less rowdy, less pressure, and less stress. HAHA.
This video is a catch-up class for our stage 3. We were supposed to have our finals on the first week of April but we shifted to online classes and cancelled our practical classes. When the restriction was eased down a bit, our school sent 2 schedules for a catch-up. But guess what, before our 2nd practical.... eng, eng, eng.... Melbourne is back in lockdown, AGAIN. I am just glad we get to officially finish our catch up class and move forward. Because that's the way to go.
I forgot to show it in the video but aside from the kitchen basic tools and uniform, all students of Academia was also given laptops which really helps especially today that all classes are online. In the laptop are installed e-books and e-recipes that we will need when we prepare for theory and practical classes.
I would like to thank Chef Mat and Chef Joshy for allowing me to vlog during our practical. ☺️

Any questions about commercial cookery/academia/being an international student. Just comment beloww.
Hello po I've been planning since feb2020 to study commercial cookery. Unfortunately the pandemic has arive.. May i know until now if i can work/study in AU. In this situation
Hi Roden, I believe you can still apply for a student visa. For now, all applications are on hold or on delay due to the temporary closure of Australian borders. I know that some people are applying for it as we speak and study off shore (while in the PH) and can fly to AU as soon as restrictions ease. Hope that answers your question. :)
Hi Chef Aced 😊 how much po ang tuition ng commercial cookery dyan? Nag agency din po ba kayo sa pinas or DIY lang? Chef din po ako sa Dubai kaso napauwi dito sa Pinas dahil sa covid.
Hi! Depends on the school. Mine was at $3k per term (3months). Yes, i was with an agency to help us with our application. 😊
Hi. I believe you can apply as early as now. Though you might have to wait for borders to reopen before you can fly to AU. I do know that schools are still accepting enrollees for off shore students.
Hi Ms. AC! Watching this again because I just watched your graduation vlog. Ang bilis ng panahon. congratulations to you 💗
I am planning to enroll this course next year but I'm having a self doubt if I can do it and will survive but watching your vlogs inspires me. 🤗
I hope you’ll decide to do it despite the risk. You’ll never know unless you TRY! 💕
@@acdyrit omg! thank you ms. AC 💗I hope we will meet soon in aus 🤗
U make it easier for me to decide and apply for my cookery course there!! Good vlog thank you
nice content!! im also a chef here in sydney and got some kitchen vlogs as well. just subscribed to your channel! keep it up!
ur a great chef!! love ur videos
Hi I graduated high school in 2021. I want to study at academia, how much is the tuition/cost of the course? And how many months is it. And Can you have part time jobs and study there at the same time? I am Indonesian. Is this cookery course certificate III or diploma? Can you get a job right away after finishing the course if I am Indonesian . Thank you so much. Your videos are amazing!
Hiiii pooo! Thank you for sharing moments of your journey there. Was also planning to study and I'm still waiting for the borders to open. May I ask if you know something about studying like in regional areas would be much better than studying on main cities as a chef since you can easily have PR points on regional areas po? I would love to study in main cities like sydney or melb but the regional area made me confused about having plus points if you study there. Any sentiments po? 😅 Thank youuuuuuuu.
Hi! It is def more difficult to get PR in main cities. The points are higher compared to regional areas. I think AU is doing this for the reasons like: distribute skilled workers in areas where they lack such workers and to avoid saturation in cities. If your goal is to get PR, regional areas would be great!
Wow your class looks fun!
Hi, Your video is so nice! May I ask some questions? Are there enough equipment for students in Academia International Institute? How about theorical knowledge and practical cooking in learning there?
Firstly, I am interested to apply for commercial cookery at William Angliss. Unfortunately, my budget is not enough. 😂😂
Hi! Thank you for your question. I would vouch that Academia does offer one of the best facilities. Though it is not a big school unlike some other large unis but acads, practicals, quality, high educational standards are offered there.
For how long you will have to learn about meats, poultry and sea food? I want to do this course, but I am a vegetarian 😓😥😥😥
For the rest of your student life. I work mostly with Indians and Nepalese who are vegetarians. They cook the meats but they don’t eat it.
Hi Ms AC, I'm from Viet Nam. I very like your youtube chanel in Mel. You studied this course in ACADEMIA Mel, and your learning path around 2,5 years for Cerf III + Cerf IV + Diploma + Advance Diploma. Are there right. Thank you for your sharing.
Hello! Thank you! I took cookery certificate 3 and 4 from Academia only then took MBA in tourism and hospitality leadership in Kaplan. All in Melbourne. 😊
Hi Ms AC. Ask ko lng po, was that ur first choice or option back then? have u heard VIT (victorian institute of tech) there in Melbourne po? Wud u know kung ok din po kaya doon? Aside from Academia, isa rin po kasi un sa option na binigay skn ni agency. And the tuition is cheaper.. Hope to hear from u soon po. Godbless
Hi Nej! My first choice really was academia. I had a friend po na ng aaral sa VIT. As per their feedback. They just chose that school because it is cheaper. But in terms po sa education and training and system, let’s just say na you’ll get what you pay for. Which is cheap as well.
Hi I really love how you edit your vlogs 😍 Im actually interested in enrolling cookery but all I know is frying instant food/boiling pansit canton 😭😅 hindi po ba magiging extra hirap yun?
Haha same tayo. But cooking is truly something you can learn and develop and learn to love. I know you can do it!
I'm Really Concerned about my Situation It Would Be Nice Of You If You Could Response To My Inquiries. Thanks! 🙂 I Completed My 12th in 2019. I Have A Study Gap Of 5 Years. These Years I Haven't Done Anything Related to Cookery. My Sister Lives In Australia, She moved to Australia This Year, and Somehow I Want To Enroll In This Cookery Course In Australia, So In the Future I Can Live With my Sister. Could You Please Tell Me Is There Any Way I Can Enroll In This Course After August 2024 Visa Update? Thanks Again!
Hi, just wanna ask how the practical is? Will they tell you beforehand what will be the practical examination will be or just random? Your reply would be greatly appreciated po since Ill be having my first practicum next week 😊
In the first stages of cookery, yes you will have a list of what to cook and a standard recipe to follow. I believe starting stage 5 you’ll have to make your own menu, recipe and work flows. 🙂
In commercial kitchen cooking experience is valid for filing work permit of Australia
Hi how long does it take to get offer letter from academia I recently just applied.
It really depends on the amount of applications they get. They can reply the day after or a week after. There is no telling.
@@acdyrit okay thank you.
Hi, I'm planning to take the same course but on TAFE WA. I just wanna ask how was it? Is it difficult? Thanks in advance! 😊
Hello! Hmm you might get different feedbacks. For me, it is manageable and a worthwhile experience. As you go along the course, the higher the stage the higher the difficulty level is gonna be. Whenever I don't understand or confused about something, I always ask my teachers. They will help you out if you just ask. It's not easy but it's not impossible too. Hope that answers your Qs. 😊
@@acdyrit Thank you so much! 🥰❤
The struggle is real! Keep it up, ACED!
thank you!
Hi dear could you please suggest cheapest institute for commercial cookery certificate 4 in regional areas of Australia
Hi Ma'am, do you have any tips for someone who wants to take the same course with you but has a much different/not connected course here in the Philippines. Thank you!
That describes ME! 😆
I guess when you write you letter also called GTE for the visa application. You need express your reason and why change career / course.
May demo day din po ba? Need pa rin ba dalhin ang uniform and tools kit for that day?
No need if demo lang po.
Hi. Looks fun. May I ask If how much ang initial payment na kinailangan mo i shell out for the school fees to get the cert of enrollment for the student visa processing? Also, makakapag refer ka ba ng trusted agent please? :)
If I remember it right, I think about Php 60k total. D pa kasali ang pgfly to AU.
I was with AECC global, the agent I was with no longer work there. But u can def call or email them directly
@@acdyrit thanks so much! Wonder if natapos mo na ang cookery III and IV today at kamusta dyan :)
Cert 3 lang ang tinapos ko. Nung ngpandemic, i pursued MBA which im about to finish this month. :)
I had units for cert4 so im thinking maybe i continue ko nlng yun kasi sayang din.

Hey there nice vlog
I am planning to study cookery college. Is this a reputable college.
Is it a level 3 qualification.
You look very beautiful in this white uniform chef your such a pretty cook
watching from victoris, saan ka bandaa mateyy?
Hey!! I’m currently in Werribee 😊
Hi aced, I’m also planning to study there with the same course. I am wondering if do you still have enough time to get a part time job?
hello! quick question if you join that academy and your coocking is failure are you gonna get like banned or something?
Of course not. You’ll just have to be reassessed. The only time the school will drop you is if you wont come to class and dont do the requirements.
Hi there, thanks for your amazing videos. is this college situated in regional Victoria? Please inform me .
No, it is in the city. The Melbourne CBD.
What is your school name ?
Hi! It’s Academia international
Hello, what do you think about Front cooking school? Is it good?
I recommend my school for great training and value for money
Hi ..I also got that subject cookery... but unfortunately I don't have that much idea about cooking...so can I study that subject?? Or it'll be difficult 🥺
Of course you can! willingness to learn and dedication will get you there
@@acdyrit thank you chef🥰❤️
Hi just want to ask you if the theory part in cert 3 and cert 4 challenging??
For someone that has never had any professional kitchen experience, I’d say it is challenging but with persistence and willingness to learn. It will be a fun process!
Hello po badly need your opinion lng po. Para po sa GTE, Ano po mas better na idea na pang future plans po for commercial cookery aside po for building your own restaurant? sana po may makasagot thank you 🙏
I can't really tell you what you want but in my case, I was pointing in my letter that I need the skills, training, and experience to eventually build that business that I wanted.
mam ano po agency nyo to study commercial cookery and what age nyo po nagstudy?
AECC global po. I was 27 when I started
Is cookery study easy in Australia ?
How many days you go to university in a week for study?
And how many days you guys to kitchen to learn how to cook in a week ????
Please reply me dear !!!!!
Hello,
Nothing is easy when you're far from home. You'll need dedication and hard work. As a student visa holder, school is top priority. Job is second. If you fail school, your visa will be cancelled too.
I go to school 3 times a week and we have 1 day to cook in the kitchen while the other 2 days will be theory and demonstration.
😊
@@acdyrit thank you so much for your precious time. Is there any presentations in this field of cookery??🙂
Yes, part sa theory classes is reporting, role playing etc. Like a normal school setting lang. :)
How long do you study for and where does this school located in australia?
Advance diploma is 2.5 yrs. Im in Melbourne 😉
Hi po, Im hrm graduate po, but not so good in cooking skills. Hindi po ba mahirap pag wala experience sa cooking and hindi masyado alam mag cook? 🥺 ba’t gusto ko pa talaga mag aral ng cookery
Take it from me na walang experience at all. It’s not easy pero kng willing lng talaga and hungry to learn. Kayang kaya 😉
Hello! Can you please guide me how to classes we have to take in week?
in Academia, we go 3 days a week. 1 day for theory, 1 day for cooking class, and 1 day for practical class. :)
@@acdyrit may mga writings din po ba kayo ginagawa sa class? Nakapag PR na po ba kayo jan sa Australia?
May mga assessments po. Usually submitted online. D pa po kami PR hehe
Before join the college did you have any basic cooking ?
NONE! Not counting the food I cook for my family 😂
@@acdyrit oh ok, thanks for the answer
is this in melbourne???
Hi po! I just want to ask your insights as a Int student taking Cookery po. I’m not a pro when it comes to cooking. Like literally basic lang alam like fried cooking. But I’m planning to study cookery there. Strict po ba mga chef?
My friend, we’re the same 😄. I learned everything from school. Chefs will be strict but the school will treat you as someone with no experience. In short, from basics of knife handling and progress from there. So, don’t worry 😉
Hi po ate. Nagplaplan rin ako to take the same course. Hindi po ba masyado mahirap ang course? Kailangan lang po ba talaga ng patience at tyaga?😅
Hi Janelle! If i can do it, you can too! And yes, you just need to work hard, listen to your instructors, study (konti 🙈), and be with a group that will help and encourage each other. Based on my experience, i was able to get thru all assessments (research and reports) thru combined help from my friend. I help them, they help me, and we get thru together. It is an amazing experience. ☺️
@@acdyrit Thank you sa advice ate 😊 matagal ko na talaga dinidream na makapunta dyan 💕 Hoping to meet you
Saang school po kayo nagschool and how much the tuition fee.. magkano po lahat nagastos papunta jan kasama na tuition fee and how much dapat nasa bank statement and how many years of that course?
Hi! in Academia International po. Because it's me and my husband we had a budget of roughly 400k for everything. I'm not sure about the bank statement but at least enough to prove that you or your family can support your schooling. My course is 2.5 years
I have 10 year GAP after my 12th in state board. 10 years I was managing my father's business. Now I want to become a pastries Chef. Am I eligible for admission ?
Yes,if you convince them in your letter how badly you want to pursue this path. If you can somehow relate your experience from your father’s business to this new passion, it would be a plus.
Hi. I am planning to take Diploma in Management Learning in that school.. any advise po if magandang course yan? Thank u
Mas better na kunin nyo po ang course na in line sa course or work nyo sa pinas. Maganda po ang course if you enjoy doing it 😉
Hi I got overall 6 in ielts but 5 in reading so I am eligible for diploma in cookery there
do you need to graduate from college or can someone apply right away from shs or if still in college and planning to take up the course HELP
You don’t need to be a college graduate to take a cookery course :) high school graduate is ideal since you don’t need to justify why take a certificate course after graduating a bachelors degree.
@@acdyrit thanks! what agency assisted you? and how much is your overall expenses to immigrate and can working part time help pay off tuition fees?
What is the time of school? How many hours? and days?
Academia International. 3 times a week. 9am to 2pm
Hello can we go for certificate 4 after completing certificate 3
Yup! That’s usually the pattern. You can get a package course for all certificates plus diploma just like mine.
Hi, I am currently on the process of applying for a student-visa in Australia for commercial cookery as well. Unfortunately, the pandemic happen. I would just like to know how's the status of international students there? How true that they would not allow international students until 2021?
Daghang salamat and ayo ayo kamo dija. 😊
Ugh, all the plans this pandemic has ruined. Re students here, it’s a case to case basis. Some got family and relatives that could help/ support them. Some still got their jobs or extra hustle like selling and some decided to go home thru arranged PAL flights to PH. They can always come back when circumstances are better. How is your application? Are just waiting for AU borders to open?
Yeah, pretty much like that. However, I was told that they won't accept students to enter AU not until 2021. By the way, may I know what culinary school you are in? Mine were supposed to be at Sydney but most of my networks, like friends are there at Melb. Might check your school for options though.
I study at Academia International in Melbourne. Yeah, check out areas where you have connections or have someone who can assist you when you get here. At least who can find you a place to stay when you arrive. You’ll need it. The news says so but also if things get better soon. They will reopen, for sure. It’s an economy boost.
@@acdyrit Thank you so much for the info! Hope ya'll doing good down there despite the circumstances. Keep safe! 😊

Hi! Same tayo! Office job ako sa pinas. Hi ms . Aced . Tanong ko lng po if totoo po bang included ang laptop sa tuition fee? Thank you keep safe .
Hello! Yes. The school will provide the laptop, kitchen bag, knife set, and uniform too. So you don’t need to worry about going into your ebooks and practical classes. 😊
Thank you ms . Aced for answering . Required po bang kumuha ng laptop / what brand po ? Pano po if meron na ? Hehehhe ✌🏻
@@jomanligutan7039 It is part of what your are paying sa school so they will give it to you. Also the ebooks will be accessed thru the laptop that they will give you. Hi! I can’t say it’s asian centered. But we do cook asian foods too. It’s a mix of different cuisines. Coz the school will teach basic and traditional ways of cooking that are commonly applied in commercial kitchens. Was paying 3k per term. That was 2019 to 2020

@@potion6 no, i don't mind at all! We have to prepare a bigger budget because we were applying an insurance for couple (for me and my husband) and also the visa fee and health certificate is doubled too. From what I know, the average budget for single applicant is around Php 250k-300k, couple is around Php 600k-700k.

And warm greetings from Melbourne, AU! 🇦🇺
That’s including the tuition po? Sorry daming tanong. @norbertjune

Hey Angelica! You know, it's tricky sometimes. Some agencies require IELTS, some don't. Mine didn't require it. I don't really know how they do that LOL. Maybe look for an agency where there is no processing fee and no IELTS. I posted a recent video answering FAQs about cookery and being an international stud in AU. Maybe it will be of help too. 😊

hi new subscriber here ,how is the feelong when you first land in australia?i mean how is not that hard?
Honestly, pretty positive and thinking that I can do everything in this great new country.
