    You'll get even better results if you start to spray before the mask and end the spray after you pass the mask.

      Very true. Otherwise you get the dumbbell effect or dripping.

    I have a similar VForce mask. Problem is, the silicone part is red, and I don’t like it. I only bought it because it was the only color they had left. Is there any type of paint that you know if that will adhere to the silicone? I have been told that possibly an oil based paint would work. I just want to drab it down a bit. I am going to a huge outdoor Airsoft event and I am pretty certain that the red on my mask out in the woods will make me stand out like a turd in a punch bowl.

      Oil based paint is best after an oil based primer. I would also do a quick sample test on a small area on the inside of the mask just to make sure it works they way you want it to.
      Hope it turns out awesome and let me know how it works. This might turn into another summer project. 😀

    Did you not clear coat it? looks great mind!

      Not yet. I need the mask paint to fully cure or I run the risk of getting bubbles. I’m planning to clear coat both the mask and the gun on the same day.

      I am rethinking about the clear coat on the mask and gun because after the paint fully cured it has been really durable. Both have been shot with paint multiple times without any damages.

    This may seem like a dumb question I’m aware but what kind of paint did you use

      I added the Amazon link above. Testors paint has a few different color fade options. I bought two cans and painted my mask, gun, magazines, hopper… and I have about 1/2 a can to spare. !Just remember to basecoat in black!

    Has there been any paint cracking? I've done this with several masks and every one of them, the paint has started to crack.

      I have had some scratches from FS rounds but no cracking/wrinkles or dimpling. I also haven’t had any cracking on my EG100.
      How long between the last coat and when it started to crack?

    Looks cool! How has it held up?

      @GrendelPrime79  3 года назад +1

      Good. It had no damage, scratches or dulling after hitting hit twice at about 50' on the paint. I am happy with how well the paint has held up on both the mask and gun.

      Black/flat primer paint is about $5. You will need to shop around for the price on color shift paint. I saw this week 3 small cans for $40. Normally they run $10-15 a small can. I have have gotten a lot of coats with just two cans.
