yeah, I don't get it why people shave, it is a natural thing for men. I am in my 20s and I never shaved my body hair before since it is a part of me after all. Besides, my girlfriend prefers me hairy so I am keeping the fur.

There is definitely a third option: trimming. No need to shave, just trim. For armpits, it makes deodorant application easier and more effective.
@Enultra You could use scissors but I don't recommend it, the possibility for injury is high. I use clippers with the different length plastic guards (Wahl hair cutting clippers).
Recently more products have entered the market that are safe and waterproof, like from Manscaped and other companies. The commercials are on RUclips constantly.
