For those saying belly dance isn't Celtic, every culture has their own form of belly dance. Look at Hawaii, India, African tribes, etc. We're all human and we all move our bodies to the music. This performance was wonderful
I am sorry as a person coming from Ireland . Our dancing is more like Riverdance . I understand what you are saying about Hawaii and such places . But , I grew up knowing only hard shoe step dance as Irish Celtic dance. Beside , its would be too bloody cold to were the costume she has on in many parts of the Celtic world .
Великолепная пластика!Гармония движения и музыки бесподобно.За руками наблюдать одно удовольствие,то как крылья,то как змеи!Спасибо за эту отраду для глаз!)
The composition " MARAKESH" is amazing. My favorite. 👍👍👍Loreena has a miraculous voice and when listening to it we literally find ourselves in mystical dreams.
As a person with strong strong Celtic roots...this is AMAZING!! She was mesmerizing and fluid. Felt like I was watching a nymph or a druid dancing in the forest!
I don't think you know anything about Celts or "celtic" culture at all, sorry. The rhythm and sounds of the song are obviously strongly inspired by eastern European music. Just because it's Loreena McKennit singing it doesn't make it celtic....
Lovely, what always amazed me about human culture is the desire of self expression and art, both of which are superfluous to survival yet we create these beautiful expression!s
Thank you so much for the like. I greatly appreciate your wonderful culture, you are much loved (as the beautiful people you are) and will always be welcome as a guest in my home (northern California, US) My heart goes out to you.....

@@marammansour170 This is(or was) called Tribal fusion bellydance, it originates from the USA of about 70th-80th of last century (1970-1980). It's a fantasy style not attributed to any specific nation (at least it was earlier), but just before the quarantine some strange processes started to occur in the comunity out there in North America, I'm in Europe so I'm not aware of all the details, but looks like they decided to change this style's name to I-don't-know-what, bringing there some ethnicity issues, culture appropriation chatter and other attributes of new ethics. It sounds so weird for us here in Europe (Eastern Europe, to be exact). I mean trying to rename the dance form after 50 years of it's exitance, that's so bizarre to me. The most claim was about the word "tribal", back there in America they now feel some strange emotions about that word, which initially meant we are all from different tribes, but we all can dance together expressing the same love to the world, to ourself, to each other and to our mother Earth. That was the real meaning of that word, but they managed to totally pervert the initial pure idea of the unity through dance, to some specific ethnical issues. I can't get it and it hurts me somehow. And yes, as you can guess from the name, it's a fusion style, so it kinda mixes different ethnic dances like Middle Eastern, North-African, Spanish and Indian as well as some influences from modern dance styles like popping, tutting or hip-hop etc.

As a descendant of the Irish Celts, Germanic and Nordic Tribes I find myself being drawn closer and closer to my Celtic roots and ancestry. The music and the dance speak to me of a long forgotten connection to where I’ve come from, and has sparked an entirely new way of looking at the world.
Here I am in the weird part of RUclips again. I was watching dancing russian sailors couple of days ago now belly dancers. Yep on day 15 of stay in place pandemic 2020
Stay in place? I was stuck going between Southeast Asia, Europe And the Middle East when this supposed pandemic hit. Fakest shit ever. Like a bad cold.
I don't know how I ended up here either....I was listening to German heavy Metal a minute ago..but I must say this lady dances very well..I'm impressed with the way she moves her arms..pretty amazing !!!
Wow! This is one of my FAVORITE performances so far! The Most Beautiful in my opinion. SO CREATIVE, FLUID AND "TRANS-DIMENTIONAL"!!, I just found you and I am already hooked, its almost 3am pacific time...wow where did the time go, I have been watching this stuff for hours...lol So Beautiful, so fun to watch. The high priests wait as the sun rises over the stone pillars, they pray for a bountiful year, young girls slowly dance their bodies moving to the sound of drums, the young men's souls ignite with passion. And the seson once again begins

I agree totally... I listen to her music before I go to work... always leaves me in a great mood
She danced as a Queen! Her choice of music was perfect. Lorena McKennitt is wonderful!
Природные данные плюс артистизм и огромная работа, дают ошеломительный эффект, танец получился крутым, красивым, чувственным!
Честно говоря, вы убираете слова из моих уст!

She's a lovely dancer, but except for the name, there is nothing authentically, historically Celtic in any of this. I am from a Celtic country myself.
