Bob is the scariest villain i've ever seen. i've had nightmares about him, woke up sweating. (just got into the show tbh), so i came here to try and see the man behind the madness. RIP Frank Silva! thank you for creating such a good horror villain.
The scene when it's revealed that Leland is possessed by Bob is maybe the most terrifying scene I've seen. The part when Silva's laughing head is superimposed over Ray Wise's is nightmare fuel
I had to find interviews with him, just to tell my mind he’s Frank. It’s the fact that I’ve never seen him in anything else, makes Bob feel more real. Nightmare fuel man.
It's fucking crazy to me that a character as huge as BOB in this series was brought to life while filming the pilot. Really have to respect Lynch for just going with his head and never looking back.
"...every time you did something on stage, it evolved into something totally different, in David's head. It would lead him to another realm, another direction."
When Frank screamed the ending of episode 2.1 in this, I got scared. Bob really holds some power to me, as he does to many people. But Frank was so great even with those who were traumatized with Bob. He loved to talk with the fans. :)
Wow, as scary as he was in Twin Peaks, he was the complete opposite in real life. I would not feel threatened at all by Frank... but Bob is creepy as shit. He was a crew guy and somehow better than most actors at acting.
Yeah, I knew that, but I'm glad you shared it for those who don't know. That's really how anyone should cast actors. The ones he picks are always perfect for the role they're playing.
MacGuffin yes indeed - you could visualize coming to this event to hear Frank speak, and he certainly tried to explain his interpretation of the symbolism, and how he became an accidental character. He didn't need makeup, but you associate that face with the bad seed. How interesting would it have been if an episode wjhkd have been devoted to how Bob even evolved, perhaps how the whole black lodge and mysticism evolved. You could have walked up to Frank, gorge. An autograph. Take a selfie, shake hands and then shake your head thinking, a killer? Or pay him a complement and say, Bob, erra Frank, you're great, you sleigh me. Sad he's gone, but had he still been living- no question he'd still been a part of this epic show. He's just got a natural knack. And informative. Came away understanding why ABC no longer was a player. Just a great Q&A. Thanks for uploading this.
The crazy thing is they couldve auditioned every actor out there & not produced a better performance for that character...dont believe Frank Silva ever acted before that role?
BOB, Hannibal Lector (A. Hopkins) and Norman Bates (A. Perkins) are my Top Three of movie/TV villains. And all three are the most frightening when they‘re just smiling into the camera…
I only discovered Bob last night through the 'It' movie theory, I saw some scenes and just wasn't scared cause, although he was an amazing actor, I just had the strangest feeling he would've been this lovely in real life, and I was right!
I’m very glad that at 9:40, Frank came around to the original rendition of the murder scene in the train car from the beginning of the second season, in which he starts screaming and crying at the same time after it’s over. It sets the pace for what was filmed in the film, in which BOB doesn’t want to kill Laura; he wants to possess her the way he had possessed her father. He only kills her, because MIKE has passed her the owl ring and she puts it on, preventing him from possessing her.
And it doesn't look like the little man will be in it. I think he wanted too much money. But I trust David Lynch. The Mark Frost book promo video just went up a couple days ago, it looks like it will be fascinating.
Actually he accused David Lynch of raping his own daughter and threatening to kill her if she ever told as well as accusing him of setting up the death of Jack Nance who played Pete in Twin Peaks as well as starring in nearly all of Lynch's films before his death.
surreal that he's such a nice person.
"I'M A NICE GUY!" -frank silva

Oh i agree. The ghost Bob haunted me for years, the man Frank seems so lovable!
BeazzleBOB
His impression of Lynch is priceless.
'Frank, get outta there or you're gonna get caught in the camera.'
'Frank! Get down at the end of the bed. Just crouch down there and act scared.'
It's fucking crazy to me that a character as huge as BOB in this series was brought to life while filming the pilot. Really have to respect Lynch for just going with his head and never looking back.
Seemed like a really nice, funny and personable guy. R.I.P. Frank...you are missed.
this is the greatest thing. it's too bad he died so young :(
Absolutely heartbreaking that we lost him. Gone too soon! RIP FRANK SILVA
"WOW" said David Lynch, when Frank was caught in the mirror. His character had no name at that point. Wow, BOB wow.
He was adorable. RIP

The interesting thing is that David Lynch doesn't interview actors, he just talks to them.

He mentioned that he trained as a theatre actor, but he got into the set dressing as a side gig.
"Around the dinner table the conversation is lively"
Frank done such an amazing job playing Bob ,he was absolutely terrifying
Rest in Power, Mr. Silva. We loved to be scared by you.
To think that the accident with the mirror, he was just Frank Silva the set designer. Then he became one of the most scariest villains in the world.
seemed like a genuinely funny and warm person, pretty sad that he died so young! RIP
The crazy thing is they couldve auditioned every actor out there & not produced a better performance for that character...dont believe Frank Silva ever acted before that role?
It was totally natural. Such a shame he was already dying when Twin Peaks and Fire Walk with Me were assembled.
at 11:29 he says he was a theater major but he hadn't done any film at that point
ugh, i love and miss him so much
He seems like such a chill dude. RIP Bob
RIP Bob/Silva, when you killed Windom Earle that's one of the greatest things I've ever seen on television.
Possibly the best video on youtube. Thanks SO much!
An intelligent, warm funny guy..he will be missed R.I.P. Frank!
Aww, what a sweet guy.
NICE! THANK YOU FOR THIS!
Шедевр ушедшей эпохи глубина резкости чувств и эмоций и любви к времени
Yay! I was there.
I have footage of this as well.

I miss you Frank!!!! 😥😥🙏🙏🌸🌸

For me in The real Life Bob is a good person!
The scream 14:34
God, who can have guessed that he could be such a nice person! Bob was my midnight nightmare! 🌲🦉🌲
Nice guy
The husband of Princess Nori Sayako
What's the question at 14:23 ?
R.i.p. 😞
Rip Bob....
Gem
I've got a pretty good idea, but any one able to hear the last question?
OK i guess he did theater according to this interview
So fucking sad Frank Silva is dead, I'm not really all that excited about the new rendition of the show considering he wont be there.
+Mr. Orange
Same here, I always felt like he was the final mystery to be uncovered by the season 2 finale.. now what!
And it doesn't look like the little man will be in it. I think he wanted too much money. But I trust David Lynch. The Mark Frost book promo video just went up a couple days ago, it looks like it will be fascinating.
Mr. Orange he died from being irresponsible his own fault
Actually he accused David Lynch of raping his own daughter and threatening to kill her if she ever told as well as accusing him of setting up the death of Jack Nance who played Pete in Twin Peaks as well as starring in nearly all of Lynch's films before his death.
creeperman26000 I really wanted to think you were trolling, but I looked into it and yes, Michael J Anderson did make those allegations against Lynch
