I just love it when Nishikata obliterates all of Takagi's defenses without even trying, or even realizing it. Takagi is so young that her feelings are still confusing and scary, I imagine. Such a beautiful little love story in 3 seasons.

However, there are ways to tell someone you love them without using those words. Like say... being on the opposite side of Shodoshima from where you live and chasing your love's vehicle, on foot, over a hilly road just to tell her, for the first time, YOU really wanted to see her then verbally apologize you aren't able to return her favor on White Day.

yuki kaji really went to the studio one day to voice a middle schooler who is being teased by his crush and another day to start the rumbling (Aot and skilled teaser takagi season were released around the same time)
the only thing I disagree with you is that nishikata is more of a boy who is still oblivious to a feeling of love while takagi, the girl who has a crush on him, teases him everyday to make him realize hers and his feelings
The sequel manga is kind of weird because it's obvious the author of that one wasn't allowed to show them making more progress than in the main manga, so you have these two adults acting like they are still in the getting to know each other phase even though they already have a daughter and live together
i have only watched the first season as of writing this comment... and I would still say I recommend it. Also, there is manga called "Karakai Jouzo no (Motto) Takagi-san"... which translates to "The Skilled Teaser (Formerly) Takagi-san" so you have a clue where this is all going to end up! :)

One thing that really benefited this series was that It gets way less episodic after season 1. Not that season 1 was bad or that episodes had no correlation but and it seemed like it focused more on comedy then literally anything else.

In the first episode, Takagi made Nishikata figure out she met him because she wanted to see him, but he was too scared to say it loud and so he lost In the finale, he tells her he wanted to see her They always found excuses to meet each other, so saying they want to see each other without a reason is big (Although Nishikata chickened out a bit)
