Reading through accounting jargon for hours today at work to try and understand this concept better and this guy explains it in 4 min 😂 God Bless this channel 🛐
shouldn't the RoU value be $48,453? My initial lease liability value was $42,453 which I calc'd as below/ 9000 + 9000/(1.03) + 9000/(1.03)^2 + 9000/(1.03)^3 + 9000/(1.03)^4 = $42,453. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Your error is that you have one extra payment in your calculation, it's only 4 periods so 4 payments. it should be : 9000 + 9000/(1.03) + 9000/(1.03)^2 + 9000/(1.03)^3 = 34,457.
Shouldn’t the cost of dismantling include in the lease liability? I think We should get the present value of that cost and add it to the lease liability
You explain so enthusiastically and make boring/complex topics sound easy and weightless. Thank you so much.
Look how a great professor you are !!! 😘😘😘
I really needed this for work. Thank you very much Professor McLaughlin. By the way, do you have a plan to make a series of IFRS videos?

What type of value is this? Is this a fair value? my assignment requires me to calculate the fair value of the asset at commencement date.
