They're super impressive, but especially since they partnered with Falcam! I'm so impressed by Falcam gear and the build quality and legit just thoughtfulness of little things. They're super clever engineers!
Ulanzi is one of the most slept on/innovative companies out rn. Other companies are barely trying to catch up but not even close, when Ulanzi's BEEN doin it for years now
Yes!..The Treeroot tripod for the Win!..but for a "smoke machine"..David have you tried the PMI Smoke Ninja!..that thing is really nice! the compact design and features are awesome..
Thanks just picked up the treeroot tripod, Phone holder and a Mount. But what’s the difference between the $500 and $400 treeroot the website has 2 types of the treeroot tripod?
I used to think that the falcam system is the answer. But after I got them I realise they have a major weakness. They don’t securely very securing with just a quarter twenty thread. I have to tighten the plate on my cam all the time.
Peakdesign capture clip is nice but their thumb screws are a pain to tighten. Hex screws are better but now it is hard to quickly relocate to another bag without a tool. PGYTECH beetle seems easy to quickly clamp down. How fast is the Ulanzi Falcam to mount/unmount on backpack straps? I see it uses some cord design that no one else does.
Super quick. Just one button opens the latch, switch bags and clamp back down. The best design in the game and it keeps only a super slim plate behind the shoulder strap so nothing presses into you🙌
I just learned about the QR system from your video. Total beginner here. My use case would be moving the X4 between mounts. Ulanzi Falcam F22 Insta360 Action Camera Quick Release Kit 2564 to do that will accomplish that but I'd have extra top plates since I'd only need one base or is this a necessary evil? Lol
Thanks as always for the review, David! Does the F38 plate fit on the X100VI and still allow the battery compartment to open? I’m assuming no but I’d love to use it with the strap system.
Unfortunately no, but I'm not sure there's a plate out there that does. It feels like these companies should think more about that when they're putting in the 1/4-20 hole!
Thanks for confirming. Yeah, not sure why Fuji put the 1/4 20 hole off center and right next to the battery compartment. Maybe they were saving something to “fix” on the Mark 7? 😅
If I could only have one, then X4 all day. The Pocket 3 does a lot of what my iPhone can do. I'll say I think the Pocket 3 does it better, but the X4 is just such a unique camera, I couldn't imagine not having it in my bag
You can't believably promote Ulanzi products only without comparing them to their main alternatives (eg PD Clip). Many people have issues with the F38 backpack clip. I wouldn't trust a 3-10K camera on that clip.
I've made a bunch of comparison videos to the PD Clip and the PD tripod and Falcam crushes every time. I've traveled all over the world with the F38 backpack clip hanging 10K rigs with zero issues! All through Dubai I hung my new Leica Q3 43 on there while cruising through the desert on camelback. Trust me, get them, try them, use them, thank me later👍
Improved from Peak Design! Tripod is better, backpack clip is better and then they went on to create a whole ecosystem of quick release. I've had the Peak Design clips since they first came out years ago and I was so disappointed that they didn't make anything else. Falcam's F38 is what I wished that Peak Design would have created
Anyone know how that thermostatic cooler thing works? Please explain!!!
magic

Bro, that’s what I’m feelin! I’m like Harry Potter with a camera!
@@DavidManningvlog I have the V2 cooler without the suction cups and im so tempted to try the new cooler. GAS!
Excellent energy, David! I had no idea how many awesome things Ulanzi makes!

Thanks for the list of favorites.
Always one of my favorite David Manning videos
Liked while the ads were playing. Knew I was gonna like it as I do every year
Wooooow, "Liked while the ads were playing" is my new favotie thing someone could say 🙌
I’m always locked in… always waiting for the next David Manning 🔥 video drop
You're a damn legend!
David i got the zero f38 but wondering if the treerot tripod for $399 worth to upgrade? Maybe can do a video comparing both and if worth the upgrade ?
I have to say, that camera strap system is pretty dope. Just need to add a wrist strap to one of the lugs and bam. Thanks for the video mate.
Totally agree! Just that alone is killer, but paired with the backpack clip and tripod, my life is just a series of one-clicks!
@@DavidManningvlog Yep... It is a great setup indeed. But 45€ for the strap thingie. Ouch. Anyhoo... Have a nice weekend, dude.
well there goes my entire bank accounts. You convinced me to leave Peak Design/PGYTech mounts on my cameras
Dude, finally!!! You shall be pleased good sir🙏
I can vouch @ShervinShares. I love Falcam stuff. I'm actually obsessed.

I could use a few of those items 🤓. Thanks!! 🙏

Hahhaa was honestly just playing around with that thing. I don't have much use for a smoker, besides wowing my kids!🤣

Can't seem to locate the large magic arm showcased at 9:35 for purchase on on Ulanzi's website :"(

Does the Peak Design base plate fit into the Falcam quick release shoulder strap?
Nope, they're not cross compatible with each other

Does the Falcam Folding Half Cage work with PGYTech plates like how the camera strap system does?
That's a great question! When I get back to the house, I'll see if I can find a PGYTech plate to test out!

Peak Design doesn't make nearly as many quick-release options as Ulanzi Falcam. The Magsafe phone mount is a staple in my setup.
Who really cares
4:08 Yeah, nothing like having a $7k camera hang like that on a sling bag...... Hard pass.
Don't care, didn't ask
