    Jerry wasn't being a very nice good guy when he beat up bret Hart and ruined his coronation,

      That's because he was actually a heel (at least in WWF) at the time.

    Jim’s attire was always firmly rooted in 1980s fashion. Every era has fashion that is instantly dated and comes off as pretentious. Jim is a heel here and trying to get heat, so mission accomplished. A green suit with a yellow tie? And I thought the white suit with the red tie was ridiculous. But that’s all part of the gimmick. He’s trying to be an annoying rich kid.

    Lawler didn't have to call it a "bad guy segment."

      So what should he have said?

    • @jd9119
      @jd9119 Год назад +1

      @@willhorting5317 He could've said Memphis Wrestling is forcing him to interview Cornette and not say a word about good/bad guys. Good/bad should be apparent to the viewers immediately. He doesn't need to hint that it's a storyline.

      @@jd9119 fair enough.
      But telling viewers that so-and-so is a bad guy, was common in promos back then.
      Doing so, was more for the benefit of the casual viewer, than the viewer who watched all the time, and already knew what was going on.
      Plus, this promo was very early in Cornette's on-screen career.
      So yes, many fans of Memphis knew that he was a heel.
      But the casual viewer might not have yet.
      Like I said...sign of the times.
