ya. that is what i do get 4 points to 8 points with large pouch. with binding get up to 12 points up theoreticallly i think. with colossal poucn u can get up to 16 points to 20 points i think just guessing lol.
also i have a question about the weak-overcharged cells. most of the time when i come out of an altar all the barriers are at full health or near it and I only get the last bit of healing on the barrier about 50% of the time. should i wait if i have an overcharged cell until i can definitely heal a barrier or what would you suggest in this case?
I dont get it. Dont you want to have your points to be equal? If you have for example 100 of elemental and 5 of the other one, you are going to cash in only 5 times anyways and not 100. You always get to search the reward thingy only with the lowest of the two. Or am i wrong?
You can but you have to stop mining at about 38 seconds instead of 25 You might need to mine a bit extra at the very end , all depending in your mining level and how many you get at first
This is a great guide! I saw you mentioned that you were only going to elemental runes. I'm an ironman and the catalytic runes are much more useful to me. Is there any issue if I just went for only catalytic runes? I thought you needed to have a balance between both catalytic and elemental points.
Only if you want to cash in the points for rewards. If you just want the runes and xp you could make purely catalytic. If you decide in the future you want to cash in some points just play the game for elemental points only
Why would I want to make less points per game? 10-14 points per game is where I'm at. But that might because I do solo with 85+ for a colossal pouch, use a lantern with yew logs, and i don't mine any fragments.

You actually don't waste the charged cell if the shield is full, you won't get xp but you'll still get reward potential

Its not waste to put a cell on a barrier that is at full hp, you still get points for it. Just that u dont get xp for it

I switch off prioritizing my points every 100 points. I will get 100 points in elemental and then 100 points in catalytic. Hope this helps.
Is there a set timer in between the yellow portal spawns ?
You can toggle off getting talisman from portals by right clicking them instead of going in.

Why does the cycle get messed up if you fill up pouches during the first time?
When you go to an altar to charge up a cell, the portal will have already spawned and you will chance missing the portal.

Only do elemental altars until you reach the level for the different catalytic altars. Hope this helps.
