That was a very homely and Lovely story telling and I liked the photo art wall gallery -coolest one is framing kids hospital birth tags . My favourite is the old typewriter ( that was the first one which caught my attention ) and 9/11 gratitude story - god bless you - I too have retained a few of my dads prized possessions like his old multimeter - I am motivated to start experimenting on something like this to give a makeover to my office room too😊
Thank you so much. Wow, old multimeter. That reminds me, I think achan had one too. Will look for it next time. Yes, it is a part of them that will always live with us physically. Just the sight of seeing those brings back good memories and puts a smile on my face.

അതെ സത്യം. എനിക്ക് പഴയ വീടുകളും washington DC പോലത്തെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ പോകുമ്പോളും അങ്ങിനെ തോന്നാറുണ്ട് . നമ്മുക്ക് മുൻപ് ആരൊക്കെ ഇതിലെ നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ടാവും എന്ന്. തലശ്ശേരിയിൽ ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാര് പണുത ഒരു റോഡ് ഉണ്ട്. അതിൽ കൂടി നടക്കുമ്പോളും അതെ തോന്നലാണ് ചെറുപ്പം മുതലേ.

I remember that zebra rug from ur blog. Also, I tried the cork board map from ur blog but Ath flop aayi poyi .. lol.. I still hav the cork board . May b I should I try again.. I been thinking of updating our ofc room .. I think I will do a gallery wall.. I hav my dad’s typewriter as a decor piece too.. that’s from the 70s :)
Thank you so much Parvathi. I think I used the spray glue for the cork board, which can ver tricky to use. Maybe Mod Podge or even the command glue dots might be a better option. That's so sweet that you have your dad's typewriter and that too vintage.

Hi Vidya, thanks for the wonderful vlog. Just wanted to check where you got all the frames for the Gallery wall? I heard you mentioning some '..store', not able to get that name right. Can you please reply?
Thank you so much Priya. I get them from Thrift stores like Salvation Army or Goodwill. It is a hit or miss. I keep checking periodically to see if I can find something. Since these are used they are cheap, even the big ones are always under $10. Usually $5-$8

When did you move in? How long did you take to complete the interior?
Thank you Jisha. We moved in 2010 and took our sweet time to find things that we really wanted. We didn't want to rush into buying anything because we made that mistake with our townhome. We moved in and bought furniture within first week. After only a couple of years we started hating it as we found better options and our style/tastes changed. So this time around we waited to make sure that we loved each piece so much that we had to have it. That said a lot of things like paint colors have changed at least twice. 😀Also by no means is it complete.We didn't start working on our master bedroom till Dec 2019 and it is still not done. It is an evolving process. 😀

Yes you can. With chalk paint you don't even have to prime.
