I LOVE this video! Both Conservatories are amazing so this was awesome to learn about pollinating these trees. That is crazy how quickly the pollination process worked! Thank You for sharing this awesome adventure!
WOW! Amazing video! I loved it so much! such a cool thing you got to be part of this pollination process and film it as well. stunning images and great story to share with your audience.
Surprised to learn that the stigma remains receptive to pollen after the flower sheds its corolla and stamens. Was also surprised to learn that the pollen in the anthers was viable after the corolla fell to the ground. If this is the case, why not simply pack anthers or pollen into small plastic vials and ship them overnight? I suspect the road trip is too enjoyable.
Please explain this one, because I have done it several times with no issues. There comes a point where the flowers are in full beautiful bloom, and curve upright almost like a cup. If one were to turn the cup, and good amount (almost like water) of nectar flows out of the "cup". The aroma is sweet, and the taste is delicious, like a unique sugar water. (It was not rain water). I have done this several times, as the tree, the height of a 3 story building does this on rare occasions. I cannot remember the month, but the window is but about 3 days. I understand the fruit itself is poisonous, but the liquid nectar that sits floating in the floral cup is entirely different.
Hello, i was considering bying ang growing a sundew, but also i would like to have the one that can digest flies (flesh flies, sarcophaga), which specie is the best in this case. Thank you for your advice
Oh man...I wish we had something like that around here. My city's conservatory is very very small. What an interesting video!
you should still see if they have any opportunities who knows?

They say money doesn't grow on trees, but you best believe sausages can!!!
lmao
I have seen these trees not so far away from where I live . At first I thought these large fruits were dry weaver bird nests 😂
They are so odd looking so it makes sense

Capensis they spread quickly by seed and are very easy to care for
Is the fruit edible ? How does it taste ? Beautiful pictures 🤩
I think you have to ferment it otherwise its poisonous
@@TechplantChannel ah ok thanks 🙂
