Just wanna say this was SO helpful and thank you x a million! So many tutorials I find show you how to make one specific thing which is great! But then you're left not ACTUALLY knowing HOW to go and be creative on your own. This opened up many more ideas to play with, so cheers legend!
My original strategy of making a Solid's position move across the whole composition looks really silly now... Your tutorials always show me much easier ways to do things!
Thanks Nick! I added a comment with a link earlier and I couldn't find it, I guess it got shadow banned as it included a link to the FX Console plugin, my mistake. Anyway for those wondering, as it took me a while to realize it, Nick is using the FX Console Plugin as linked in the video description. This is the search box that appears when he does CTRL + Space (selecting the relevant layer first) and it allows you to apply two types of effects. The preset which is the AE default where key frames are automatically added for you or just blank and you define the key frames yourself which is what Nick appears to be doing here. Oh and hold shift when moving the angle of an effect to have it snap to 90, 180 degrees etc.
Cool! I have multiple projects where i can see that this is of great help! There is no real good or bad, but in my opinion I did the scene wiping all wrong in my older projects haha. Thanks for the tips, I love that it is so customizable in a few clicks.
Thank you, just what I was searching for tonight. Can't wait to play with them. A couple of them looked perfect for a waves moving in and out. Also had to subscribe.
Great - but WAY to fast?! Is this not meant to be for beginners? I don't even have the same views - so really hard to follow, do you have any videos where you show how to get your settings?
If I wanted to edit a video in vegas pro, but have these transitions between clips, could I save this transition and put it in vegas? or would I need to export my video into after effects and add in all the transitions once the majority of the editing is complete in vegas pro?
Thank you for providing this tutorial But it could have been implemented better for this tutorial to make the video more attractive. For example, like a real project
YOU ARE SUPER FAST. Please slow down. Also you used a shortcut for adding a linear wipe. Which isn’t working in my computer. Is there any other way? This is a good tutorial but its confusing. I had to pause and replay multiple times, even then I couldn’t understand many things. You had to look at other tutorials.
"Start playing with your wipes" is my favorite line.
i haven’t wiped in weeks but this should help.
Please wipe next time its not hygienic 😅
I am brand new in AE and I love watching your tutorials! Thank you very much for sharing out your knowledge!

So cool, been wondering how to do that. Thought it would be a pain in the neck amount of manual work. Just knowing the right effects. Thanks.
Thanks man for this tips, been searchin for this for 30 hours & finally found it! Deserved a subscribe

You're becoming my favourite AE youtuber more and more with each vid

Thank-you so much! Very easy to follow and a great quick effect.
For the life of me, I cannot figure out how you populated that quick Fx search bar!

Fire tutorial once again!!
Thank you
Very good tutorial as always form you, thanks👍👍
Love it! Very helpful. Thank you!
Hey which plug-ins are you using for speed graph and quick searching effects & presets? Thanks Lenn
thank you !
How do you make the Motion panel on the right appear? The one where you adjusted the easing. :O
I like this a video. A very nice!
I've watched this clip 12 times, only to realise, eventually, that I need to pay for plugins to follow the tutorial 😋
there are no paid puglins needed for this. Im using FX Console to search for effects which is free and optional
You're so cool man.
YOU ARE
Epic tutorial thank you! What is that plugin you're using for easing? I NEED IT
Yeay :D
This is a good. :)
Awesome

amazing but so fast!
I have a problem where how do i get the transition from one clip, It doesn't seem easy to snip pieces and move it like premiere sadly
If I wanted to edit a video in vegas pro, but have these transitions between clips, could I save this transition and put it in vegas? or would I need to export my video into after effects and add in all the transitions once the majority of the editing is complete in vegas pro?
Love your videos... your twitter link is not working by the way.
Please did you do that with plugins
"Wipe on and Wipe off" Ah yes, using the ol' Mr Miyagi Transitions I see.
High! Can this be done using e.g. 3 photos? It seems i can't do it... Anyone?
Thank you for providing this tutorial But it could have been implemented better for this tutorial to make the video more attractive. For example, like a real project
this video Is hard to understand , confused how to add the linear wipe very stressful not what I need at 4am
how do i open the text bar where you put the transition name?
FX Console plugin listed in the video description. I had the same problem 😉
you lost me at adding linear wipe. No idea what you did there, so unfortunately that was the end of this tutorial for me at 40seconds in 😣
Классный микрофон
What of sounds
