I've been making and drinking spinach smoothies for years. I've also been suffering from kidney stones for years with a terrible temper Hmmmmm. The doctors never once mentioned oxalates go figure. I'll have to start rethinking my entire diet. I feel so stupid thinking I've been eating healthy. Thank you ladies for this information.

@@carlajones8741 We have to look after our own health. Docs have lead many down a dark path of ongoing treatment intentionally. I don't know how they sleep at night. Yes, they are part of a corrupt system but they chose to stay a part of it. They know it is wrong. I have spoken with docs who came over to the wellness side and they told me that they sleep better now. They knew they were in fact "doing harm." It's not all docs all the time- some are still good and necessary like ER and Surgeons but overall, the system is designed to keep you sick and paying- period.

On another talk Sally mentioned that Chia Seeds are also high in Oxalates, turmeric, black pepper, pine nuts also. Thank you Sally I now know why I was so ill with pain 15 years ago for 5 years. 5 gynaes told me I was imagining the pain that I described as broken glass being scraped inside me.
The last gynaecologist told me to get Counselling as I was making up the problem, I returned to my car and actually burst into tears. Finally I find a gynaecologist in London who believed me, but she did not tell me it was my food causing the problem. I at the time was eating spinach everyday for 5 years, lots of nuts, peanut butter, celery and beet juicing everyday with turmeric, dark chocolate.
My memory was also going - Sally in another talk mentioned that they have found plaques of oxalate crystals in the brain. I truly believe Dementia is not only caused by Sugar and carbs - ie Type 3 Diabetes but also from Oxalates. My depression, negative beating up myself head, anxiety have all disappeared. I can now function and calmly do paperwork and function at work. The fog has lifted. My energy is back.
I am now Carnivore and feeling amazing for the first time in my life - 52 years old. My entire 52 years has been a sugar/carb lifestyle with lots of anti biotics as a child.

So how do you know for CERTAIN it isn’t from ditching all the sugar, grains, carbs...? I recently dropped all of that from an otherwise healthy diet & have seen amazing changes already in my pain from osteoarthritis. I’m genuinely curious how not eating a big salad & other veg at my 2 meals/day would be a positive. I do need to finish watching.

So all those people who used to put down spinach and celery, etc as 'rabbit food' were right. ;-) Peanuts - A lot of people think peanuts are best used as hog feed. Rudolph Diesel invented the engine that bears his name to run on peanut oil, not a petroleum product- so there is another good use.
The best way to eat many plants seems to be to eat the animals that are designed to eat the plants.

When I came down with an autoimmune disease I began Keto and got off my Prednisone in 3 months and felt great, but, I was still on methotrexate for my RA. I came across carnivore and gave it a go and I was off the methotrexate in 2 weeks. A week later I had a small Kale salad and 2 days later had extreme pain in my hands, back to meat. 2 days later I felt fine, just a coincidence? I waited another week and tried another salad and had the same thing happen in a couple of days. Back to eating meat. About 3 months into carnivore I got a tremendously itchy rash that lasted 3 months and then cleared up and no more problems. So now, a year later, I can had a small salad with no reaction, but I'm not going to push my luck, sticking with meat. Thank you for sharing this video.

Yes.If anything they might at most mention that sensitive people may have stomach issues and suggest that you would notice issues immediately. And a lot of people are stressing out having iron and calcium supplements yet still have deficiencies while having loads of spinach which is claimed to have all these unique nutritients, which they have but a substance attached to the goods in the food which cause the body to reject it. But I suppose that the reports studied about content of foods does not look into what happens at the cellular level in the body. It's kind of a similar problem like for instance Robert Lustig argues against the notion of "all calories is the same" it's probably similar problem with sources of vitamins and minerals. It's sad, and perhaps a reason of women in menopause often tend to have degrading bone mass.Especially that group tend to be health aware and have a lot of these foods and often reducing dairy despite not actually having problems with neither lactose nor käsein (because they have been taught plant based is best).

It trapped so much metal in my body. I’m so glad I found this knowledge. Not even 10 days on a no oxalate diet and I feel so restored. My pee has been mad cloudy. Even passing calcium chunks but they don’t hurt. I started introducing kimchi once my gut healed up as I had a bad candida infection too, and the fermented foods give me like a euphoria state it’s wild 😂😭✊ at the worst of it I could feel the blood pumping through my entire body.. could feel my heart beat in my legs feet arms and head. Id wake up every 2-4 hours at night extremely warm. don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t find this invaluable knowledge. Vegetables were ruining me

I got violently ill on cooked spinach in the third grade. I even found it repulsive before eating it and the taste was bitter - it looked gross, it was slimy, and the smell was disgusting - but I thought I should eat it anyway because they served it in school. I forced it down and it didn't stay down. I've never touched it since, and the very thought of cooked spinach to this day disgusts me. Lesson learned.

I said I'm experiencing oxylate dumping and it will take time to clean out my body when I've eaten a diet high in oxylates and lectins for decades including a lacto ovo vegetarian for 4.5 years. No wonder I ended up with Hashimoto's.
To slow down the oxylate dumping recently I included 2-3 tablespoons of sauerkraut and 1-2 dill pickles.

FANTASTIC PODCAST 💖💖💖💖thank you for bringing this to us !! I have found it immensely informative and enlightening 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I think that with all my health issues, this podcast has confirmed that I am having too high diet in Oxalates. This means most of my life (I am 50 yrs old ) I have been eating high oxalate diet. Having said that, past 8 years I have eliminated gluten, dairy, soy, corn, yeast to a large degree, but not completely and this has helped my fibromyalgia, allergies, urinary and faecal incontinence, rash, painful feet, migraines etc to a large degree. Because of my sensitivities and being highly reactive to almost everything I eat, I am seriously considering going carnivore. I’ve tried GAPS snd I am now thinking that perhaps because of oxalates and sulphur sensitivities, that would explain why I could not succeed on GAPS, especially the bone and meaty broths. Could oxalate accumulation over 50 years contribute to possibly loss of muscle mass and skim sensitivity ? Would appreciate any referrals or suggestions. Thanks in advance 🙏

The more Ive researched I believe it's because purslane is high in oxalates and I taking it in concentrated form . I have experienced urinary problems such as pain at the tip of the urethra and the prostate ( male version of the vulva problem lol ) and extreme fatigue , joint aches with stiffness , insomnia , dry mouth , tremors (nervousness) . I started getting really sick this year. Actually last year I noticed I was swelling up a lot. Didn't feel good. Constantly eating. I called them mini viruses. I wasn't really sure what they were because I wasn't sick but I didn't feel well. I get a light fever but not really a fever and I started getting rashes.
But I was eating very extremely healthy!
Fast forward into 2023. I came down with what I thought was Lyme disease even though I didn't have any bullseye rash. At first I was so sick. I knew it had to be some kind of terrible flu. Then my whole core body got really cold and I literally thought I might die. They couldn't tell me what was wrong because all my blood tests were perfect... I had terrible pain in my shoulders and in my arms and then it went down into my legs. I got to the point where I could barely walk.. fatigue was horrible. I thought I was going to have to stop working because I could barely make it to my car and then 10 ft into my business without wanting to rest for half a day.
In fact, I spent half the days trying to sleep on my desk..
I forced my doctor to do other tests because my research had taken me to multiple sclerosis but I thought I could not have this! And then he had one test that came back semi-positive for latent Lyme disease. So at least I felt I knew what it was going on. I went to another doctor and he said well. I'm not sure about the line but you do have excessive candida growth and you also have Epstein-Barr. And put me on a regimen for that.
Although I did get somewhat better with the candida, I still wasn't good. I still felt lousy. I still had fevers and dizzy spells that lasted weeks.
And then I kept coming across the word oxalates. I dismissed it because I figured it was some kind of new wave vegan thing or disease. Lol
But when I started researching it I realized this was me! I've taken a lot of things that I was using in my diet. Dark chocolate, nuts, turmeric, green tea, smoothies, black pepper beets and other items..... Last week I was able to walk half a mile. I still have a lot of improvement to do but today the girl at work told me you know you're starting to look healthy! That made me smile😊
Because I knew she was right.
The only thing I wish I could do is the carnivore diet but I have a very troubled liver... And I'm afraid that will hurt it even more

Sorry to burst your bubble but there is not a single diet for all humans. What’s perfect for you might injure another. Please celebrate your success but don’t for a minute think it will work for everyone. Remember too, your success might be short-lived. None of us will know how successful each of our choices are until we die and look back retrospectively. Lastly, where do carnivores get their antioxidants?

    • @itzakpoelzig330

Other animal species have species optimal diets. No one ever says that each individual koala has unique dietary needs, or each giant salamander, or each vampire bat, or each blue whale, or each termite, or each sea gull. All other species that we know of have a clear-cut and typically very narrow species appropriate diet.
Less than a million years ago, humans went through a genetic bottleneck which reduced the entire population down to less than 2000 individuals. Then we went through another major genetic bottleneck about 70,000 years ago. The result is that the entire human population is much more genetically homogeneous than are chimpanzees, gorillas, or any of the other apes. And yet, you never hear it suggested that every individual gorilla needs to figure out the unique diet that will best serve him or her.
The fact that most humans are floundering in a morass of bad food choices does not mean that humans all have different dietary needs. It just means that most humans are wrong about those dietary needs.

Deep appreciation to Sally K. Norton. However, the question should not be 'Oxalates or sugar?' Or lectins. (See link to Dr. Mason's presentation on lectins, below.) This is literally a situation of 'pick your poison.'
The vast majority of the US population is overweight or obese. The vast majority of those people- plus a lot of normal or lean people, are insulin resistant. That means they have Metabolic Syndrome/pre-diabetes, or Type 2 diabetes, whether or not they know they do. For these people, and Type 1 diabetics, consuming sugar or starch (which is just sugar molecules hooked together),
Unless these people stop the cycle of increasing insulin resistance by avoiding sugar and starch, they will become more and more insulin resistant, until they are put onto insulin. Insulin injections do not halt the continuing damage caused by the sugar and insulin. This is considered a chronic, progressive disease- with increasing weight gain, amputations, blindness, heart, liver, and/or kidney disease being considered the inevitable result.
Even for those without insulin resistance, weight issues or diabetes (the weight issue is usually a symptom of pre-diabetes), sugar is not as safe as we may think. It is addictive. Sugar, and starch (which is glucose molecules linked together), are not needed in the diet at all. They cause damage to tissues via glycation. In this presentation, other dangers of sugar are pointed out: Dr. Georgia Ede 'Mood and Memory - How Sugar Affects the Brain' ruclips.net/video/O8eR0R3sMHw/видео.html
Daily eating windows, and short water-only fasts of a few days, or maybe 5-7, ideally under the supervision of a knowledgeable health professional, can help break the insulin resistance cycle.
Fasting can also trigger the body to replace damaged mitochondria with new, healthy mitochondria. Continuing to consume sugar and starch with damaged mitochondria may feel better in the moment, but it does not seem like the logical solution, to me. Consult the fasting gurus for more info.
Dr. Paul Mason on 'How Lectins Impact Your Health...' ruclips.net/video/mjQZCCiV6iA/видео.html
If consuming lectin-containing foods (which are not found only in legumes, like peas and beans), cooking helps. Peeling helps. And not eating the seeds help. Viewing Mason's video will change your perspective on lectins.

i have tried to research these for awhile, i am still learning, bottom line is meat is good. animal based food is much better.
I would like to know where i can get the most excellent information on these plant defenses .

we need to spread the truth around because the lies are very prevalent. Dr. Berry is a good one too.

Yes, it has stopped being about health long ago, it's about money....
They lie, they create false papers to prove their lies, etc.
Good doctors and scientist keep losing their job/reputation trying to spread the truth and actually HELP people.....
It's alllll about the money and the money they make off of sick people....
      FACTS.

Thanks for the interview. I have struggled with oxalate dumping while on keto since March. I had skin removed in April from losing a total of 100 pounds. Exactly what she described, the surgery trauma put me into dumping, kidneys hurt constantly, depressed, joint pain, cloudy urine, all of it. I am convinced oxalate poisoning is real. The past 6 weeks I have been training for a marathon. My sweat has been very itchy with white powder. It's easy to see all over my black Fitbit versa. I gotta lose my addiction to Lily's chocolate and peanut butter...

@@NutritionwithJudy I started right after the video and can already tell a difference. I went from peanut and almond butter to sunflower butter, rid of spinach, chocolate, and a few other things. I started feeling sore but things already are getting better. Biggest thing I notice is my stomach isn't hurting randomly anymore, and I don't get dog tired like I did soon after consuming those high oxalate foods. Thanks again.

Hi Matthew - Have you seen any of Dr. Jason Fung's presentations on RUclips? He has been helping people to lose weight, control or reverse Type 2 diabetes, and help other health problems with nutritional ketosis and/or fasting. He has found that his patients who lose a lot of weight who fast periodically for about 3 days or so occasionally as they are losing weight do not end up with excess skin.
This is because fasting, while taking plenty of water, lets the body switch from building tissue to recycling old, damaged, and excess skin and connective tissue.
Please see his presentations or website, or his book, for more details, but he does recommend physician supervision for fasts longer than 2 or 3 days. For healthy adults, short fasts should be no problem. You are probably aware that fasting was common in many religions, and still is in others. And of course humans had to deal with times when there is very little or no food for as long as humans have been human. :-)
It is interesting how physicians will tell people not to eat for 12 or 24 hours (sometimes longer) before certain medical procedures, but they often think of fasting as dangerous. Many are also afraid of nutritional ketosis, as you know, because they do not understand the difference between triggering fat burning, and ketoacidosis.
It would be great if physicians all knew about things like nutritional ketosis and fasting, and could help their patients avoid what may be needless surgery.

Aquarius rules Caffeine, which is in (I didn’t know) chocolate.
And Scorpio is sensitivity, another, word for allergy.

My question is, couldn’t it be just that you don’t have the gut bugs to digest these foods. My concern is that when you eliminate soooo much you lose the gut bugs that eat the foods you eliminate. Why can some people digest things well and others cannot? My head is spinning because different people seem to thrive on different diets.

Hello Dr. Judy . I'm korean and type 2 diabetic and have been on carnival for at least 4 months. I feel so much better, and I can feel my body healing itself. But I just wanted to ask you if you can do it in the korean language. There is so much misinformation in our country.

I remember Paul Bragg recommending taking a tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar in water to remove crystals from the body.He didn't say what those crystals were, maybe it was oxalates. What do you think, could this be a means of dissolving the oxalates from the body?

Interesting to hear from my rheumatologist years ago after diagnosing me with fibromyalgia, that it seems to come upon people, after a major trauma like a car wreck, a major surgery, or prolonged periods of high stress-two of those I qualified for-but at minute 24 im hearing those things can cause oxalate dumping-So maybe I didn’t have fibromyalgia but oxalate issues after all?!!! Tested high for oxalates less than 2 months ago, been carnivore a month and a half after 20 yrs vegetarian then vegan...so far major pain flare ups, feeling like crap, no weight change ( not a major issue but figured id drop some by now) . Am going to tough it out & believe this will finally heal something ive waited to find a cure for, for 11 years...
