The whole point is to help people to a better life with technology. Think about, “where is the world going?” Have organizing principles. Thinking needs to shift from being about actual things to the user. You need to be great at the full stack. The exploration phase if very wild.
Don’t do one off things. You have to see a broader vision. Look at where do we think the world is moving and think about how this is going to be a stepping stone to that ultimate end vision. All of your content and media experiences are now in your phone. Media is still the killer app in your house.Constraints are really great because they serve as opportunities to resolve, to refine, to simplify, and push you to find the right answer that will solve the user problem in the simplest way. At a big company you have to force a lot of communications. We can dream a lot faster than what is possible. Web software is a lot different than mobile software. Building mobile software is more like building hardware.

Can someone help me what presentation format Hosain is using? Is it PowerPoint or something else? He is killing it on how he put his slides together.

I really dream of being a hardware startup founder. However I wanna know these stuff:
1- How to protect my company from ever being taken away from me via takeover or a lot of investments? I really don't want to do a hard work then someone just buys it.
2- How to raise funding, taking #1 question into consideration?
3- How to hire and who to hire?
4- How about software to use? like Altium designer, solidworks... these are pricy.
    thanks

I'm trying to develop a device that would make it easier to floss your teeth. I am pretty sure we can all agree, the current state of flossing sucks! Don't worry I am here to solve the problem. :)

My dentist told me about a device which they said was about $150+ that is supposed to be great for flossing..
Seems now ( a year later) one retailer is selling this device for a bit less. I think it's this www.johnlewis.com/philips-sonicare-hx8211-02-electric-airfloss-system/p615140?sku=232298327&kpid=232298327&s_kenid=68b74216-40c3-5388-1bd1-00005ff1f542&s_kwcid=402x34077&tmad=c&tmcampid=73&kpid=232298327

Think thrice before you start a hardware company outside China. You can't out-do them and they will be your chief competitors. Doesn't matter how much you innovate, they are very good copy cats, even much better than Kakashi Hatake.
