2 Shards away from 7 starring my Vader. I have been farming him in the Shard shop since he started dropping there. I will get those shards when he drops in SS again, when I hit level 85, or when I get my 500th mod. So excited!
Another nice character review.
I had the same unsatisfactory reaction when I unlocked him and realized he wasn't great at all. However, nowadays with Palp (L), I'm huge fan of my Vader.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with your ranking, because as a stand-alone character he's rather unimpressive offensively.
Please do a review of B2. Also, seeing the footage of Snowtrooper, that would be an interesting character to have some analysis, due to how uncommon he is.
I played for less than 3 months he's level 73, 6 star gear 7 or 8 I haven't spent any money on the game has my favourite leader and character

Have you happened to do an updated Vader in depth video since he got Zeta?
Put him in challenge against veers and tarkin let him get advantage and than do this light saber throw on a boss. He can do more than 150k
I totally forgot to add that in my video! I had gameplay of that too. But it is a lot of fun to do that!

Yeah I might do some sort of mini in-depth review. Doing a full blown in-depth review takes roughly 8 hours to make and I only can do those on Fridays (not enough time in the week). A mini version would be a lot easier to make!

Question. With the new Boba Fett update, would a team like Boba (L) Darth Vader, Leia, Luminara/Healer, and Scarif be useful? Or is there a better configuration. That team would quickly wipe out two enemies right off the bat with three characters doing DoT, Ability Block, and Offense Down. Comments?

Always critical damage/chance.. What about offense mods with some potency and speed on them? to compensate for his low overall damage?
Yeah health and critical damage/chance mods are king is this game. When Palpatine is running as the lead, potency is not really an issue for Vader and it is sufficient for almost everything. Offense mods are not all that helpful when your base damage for a character is low. Offense mod sets only grant +10% so to put that in perspective, Vader's AoE will go from 2600 to 2860 which really is not much at all. Also, I feel it is harder to get offense mods since the characters to farm are not as good and some are difficult to acquire.
But critical damage mods give +30% critical damage which will definitely translate to better attacks and critical chance ensures he is more likely to have critical damage. My Vader's critical damage was at about 210% and the chance to do 210% more damage is way better than what offense mods offer. Without crit chance/damage mods I would not be able to get 50k+ on culling blade as easily like you saw in the video. Unlike the characters for offense mods, Jawas are a lot better and more useful in the game than the First Order and are a bit easier to farm.

Okay, Im new to this game and I need one more shard left for Vader and after seeing this video, did Vader get a buff ever since this video?
Vader is definitely a bit better than he was in this video but he has not received a major buff. He mainly got a Zeta upgrade which is for players above level 82 and his culling blade cannot be avoided. He seems to be better for advanced players than he is for beginners.
I do wish that you would take into account his zeta lead and his saber throw being unevadable... please fix
+Foba Bett Yeah this video is about 2 months old so Zetas were nowhere near existence yet. I have some revisions in mind to my ranking table that I haven't made public yet. Darth Vader will get more attention once I experiment with his Zeta.

How is vader now with zeta?
Darth Sidious isn't a bad leader for Vader, either. Palpatine is way better, but Sid's alright.
Also, I think potency mods would be good for Vader, to get those damage over time and ability block debuffs to apply as much as possible. I think damage over time is a seriously underrated debuff.
Vader one of the best leaders in arena lol I see a lot of people using him as a leader he does tons of damage with his lightsaber throw

If you zeta Vader leader ability it's a bit better.
Well its kind of the creators fault so it's sad for them because Vader should do a lot of Attack Damage besides his culling blade his basic should do a lot more
My first serious character
Came to this video after borrowing my clan mates zeta’d lvl 85 Vader who hit a fuckin 95,000 culling blade. Wanted to figure out how the hell it was able to get that high even tho I did place just about every debuff possible for a first order Kylo lead. Even tho I’ve gotten my fotp to hit for 38,000, 95,000 made me question if the game was glitchin on me 😂

I don't agree with you. Yes he is no Grand Master. But he is Master! My Teammate runs him in Arena and is always Top 5. Just because you wish him to be OP or he isn't currently meta, doesn't mean he isn't one of the better toons. Yes after unlocking him with 4 Stars he feels weak, but you still don't have him maxed out. That is the thing about him, he is supposed to be the longest grind. He is definitely better than Nebit and Windu. Playing against him is as annoying as playing against Anakin. He is Master!
Very fair points! Its not that I want him to be OP but instead just have his basic and AoE hit harder for the most part. No reason CUP should do more damage than a 7 star gear 11 Vader lol Being one star away does not make the biggest difference but the gear 11 situation does help out a bit more as I've mentioned.
Glad to hear your buddy is doing well with him in arena! Personally when I've seen a Team Instinct guy with a 7 star, gear 11 Vader on my arena shard, it is a cakewalk battle for me and that is also including when they have Palpatine and Shoretrooper too. Their Vader never gets a chance to attack against Wedge, Lando, and HK leads. I noticed they quickly pulled him out of arena the same day lol
But as I always say the ranking is the most subjective part of the review and I personally find Nebit way more useful than Vader in arena, Rancor raid, AAT raid, GW, etc. etc. and for some they will think the other way around.

"I went for general grevous" Ahh, I didn't know that you knew nothing about the game until that sentence.
Lol I mean I must know something since I'm #1 in arena 90% of the time since February, always in the top 3 or 10 for both raids, and never lost a battle in GW. Sometimes you gotta go for characters that you love because of their canon story which is why I farmed GG. Plus I had nothing else to farm at the time from any of the shipments unless I want characters like CUP or Mob Enforcer. I also did it to review him for my audience so they can learn more about him.
Also, got to look at it in a way where he might be really good one day after a potential rework or being needed in ships. So I might be months ahead of the game then ;) Like who would've known that the Jedi Consular would be one of the best ships?

Depends what you want to use them for but Vader is better than Chewbacca in many regards.

Vader basic attack is quite pathetic ... And his speedisalsoa problem. I often end up using his damage over times with gonna fat execute to ensure they are not cleansed in between. Defitenily too weak a char for what I would expect. When you have ackbar on your team and the other guy does not use gonna to ensure you are ability blocked between the force crush and the curling blade.... Vader is just as good as a healer for the opposing party. To usevader you need to know how to use him properly. This char should be really improved...

Lol did not notice that. It started off correct at 880 then an extra 8 popped out of nowhere when the blue, green, and white gear came on the screen.
Well it's mostly a let down for the game because Vader should have powerfull offense as well as aoe but this is a game after all they make one of the weakest characters into the strongest characters in the game lol.I mean he's already extremely powerfull with his debuffs and lightsaber throw that does a lot of powerfull damage and his zeta is also really powerfull and Amazing but I would really like if his terrifying swing did more damage
I started following and watching these to figure out how to mod better, but then I realized you don't know, you always suggest crit chance and damage. So you're modding all the characters the same basically. no bueno.
