I bet $1000 if you took an Isshinryu karate Blue Belt (9 months training) and put him against a Judo or especially BJJ blue belt by Isshinryu Dojo rules, the Isshinryu fighter would either pound the other one to death, or submit him. rules: 1) No throat jab 2) No biting 3) No Eye Gouge 4) No leaving the mat 5) No other rules.
Okay, but if you put a rule set in that was favoured towards the judoka or BJJ practitioner I imagine they would win instead, what’s your point? And also, this isn’t a video about inter martial arts combat… It’s about how to be good at Judo
@@BlindJudoJourney The Isshinryu dojo rules only forbid 3 strikes and running away. 1) No biting 2) no throat jab 3) no eye gouge 4) no running off the mat 5) No other rules.
@@BlindJudoJourney We had Judo blue and brown belts join my Sensei's Isshinryu school, and they were so far behind us they could never submit us and rarely execute a takedown against us. It took 2 or 3 years of training for the brown belt to get up to speed vs Isshinryu fighters who weren't even black belts.
@@BlindJudoJourney How many total submissions do you know? I still know well over 200 submissions, and still know over 50 of them by name and can still execute them all in a real 1vs1 or even 1vs2 fight. Those come from the Shorinryu half of Isshinryu.
