😮😮😊 oh man I totally forgot a show the SheJects should watch. I do not know if you guys have reviewed it but TV show called scream Queens. It was a network TV and it was by the guy who created American horror story. Essentially, it’s a twist on slasher films, but with a bit of a dark comedy to it. By the way, two of the great things about the show it has Emma Roberts in it and Glenn Powell in a very early starring role. It was fantastic.
Greg here - I don't have a good reason for having them watch the theatrical version instead of unrated version other than...I messed up. Its my fault. And I apologize. I had noted this when they filmed this a couple weeks ago, and when it came time to film - I asked them to rent it but totally forgot to convey that it should be the unrated cut. I'll have them react to the scene before they do the next one though
Alright Greg!, Just want to make sure their view of these is as clear as possible, as it starts to get complicated from here on out. Lots of new lore on top of established lore. You the man!
Everyone be nice please :) we will watch the post credits before the next one. Not a big deal. Greg (and all of us) have a million things going on. Be cool. Be kind. Be shejects. Xx
I remember they announced the movie as a reboot, they even marketed as a reboot, so when the she took the make up from Chucky in the big reveal was so cool, it was a sequel after all
Fun Fact Brad Douriff said in the commentary on the bride of chucky Fiona was on set when they filmed Andy settting Chucky on fire in the 1st Child's Play & she ran off the set screaming & crying she was the same age as alex vincent the one that played Andy.
Fun fact: Nica Pierce is played by Brad Dourif's daughter Fiona. I guess you could say she's the real life Seed of Chucky lol(I know it's lame, but I couldn't resist).
Yes!!! The introduction of Nica Pierce. She is one of my favorite characters in the franchise. Give us all the juice!!! Purge and don't forget to ring that bell!!!!!
@45:00 the "snow" was stuffing coming out of Chucky after she pulled the knife out of his back. Just an indicator that he is not human enough to be hurt.
seems they missed the post credits scene, and thus marks your introduction to Nica, probably the character who goes through a lot in the franchise, here she loses her family apart from her niece and gets framed for all the murders
Came to the comments before the video to see if they did. That's disappointing. At least I won't be watching the whole thing, wondering if they watch it.
Before you guys watch Cult of Chucky, there is a credits scene that some versions of this movie have that is relevant to the story, so you guys should watch it. Glad to here you continue to love the franchise, it's one that remains solid and it's a shame these two were never released theatrically, they should have been. Fiona does really well in this, I didn't know about her prior to watching this movie, but she's awesome. Just as a reminder, Cult of Chucky is the final movie in this continuity and the Chucky show is also part of this continuity. the 2019 movie is a reboot of the franchise and as such exists in a different continuity.
Tara instantly saying sorry to Roxy cause she thinks she hit her ring too hard was soo cute! 😭 Love you girls fr y’all are my favorites to watch especially w the horror genre! ♥️
This is a great Chucky film cause u got Brad Dourif & Fiona Dourif a father and daughter in this movie, then the next one too it's amazing seeing a film that is family business together
Don Mancini said he would LOVE to do Chucky until the day he dies, as long as he is able to and there is fan demand. I hope so. Continuing into the next movie and the three seasons of the show so far, this franchise is still going strong! Love the Chuck!
@@reallyjam oh yes, absolutely! Just like the movie series, there are different tones depending on the season and sometimes even the episode but Don Mancini picked a solid cast for it and it’s a lot of fun!
(25:11) Actually, Roxy. He’s named after three notorious criminals in modern day American history. Charles - Charles Manson Lee - Lee Harvey Oswald Ray - James Earl Ray
42:36 one of my favorite details in this film is in the flashback scene, the knife Chucky/Charles has is the same red voodoo knife he had as a doll in the very first film, I just think thats a really cool easter egg.
@@robertmckay5325 I dunno. The shot of the bowls were intended to look like the inside of a revolver. Like Russian roulette but instead of one bullet it’s one of the chili bowls.
Roxy left hanging and missed out on other facts of the movie related to the uncut version and when they finally see what they missed it will be revealed that the movie was even better than what they thought. Also please make sure that they watch the unrated version of cult. It will all tie into the tv series. The 2019 movie had nothing to do with this iteration. I am hoping after cult that you will react to the tv series
1:08:49 even though the film went to straight to video, in some countries was released on theaters. That's the box office you got for your facts, but indeed was a massive success on VoD
The series is Don's child basically. He had the twisted idea back in the 80's of "What if the Cabbage Patch Dolls were evil?" So he was like "how do I pull this off..... Oh, VOODOO!" And Dumbala has been a part of the series lore ever since, thus explaining how Chucky has adult-like strength; why people struggle getting him off of them when he grabs them. After the CP series it went dormant for a few years, until he saw "Bride of Frankenstein" on the counter of a rental store, thus sparking the idea for Bride of Chucky.
I think it's so funny that Tara was able to recognize Brad Douriff as Charles Lee Ray from a super short silent clip of him in sunglasses and a short intro six movies ago, but she watched Frank Grillo as the main hero in the Purge 2 and when they started the Purge 3 she was like, "Who's that? He looks familiar" lol.
Love Fiona Dourif! She played her role so well in this one! Great reaction Ladies! ❤❤ Roxy, you're gonna give Tara a complex with the "Purge Pillow"! 🤣🤣🤣
If I'm not mistaken I thought the end scene credit was in both version. I guess I learned something new LOL I really do hope the girls watch the end scene credit before watching the next movie
Greg and John had ONE job to have Roxy and Tara to watch the unrated version so that they wouldn't miss the post credit scene that ties sets up the opening scene of the next movie. YES!!!!!!!! So glad you guys loved this one as well!! I was a little worried you'd miss the absurdist humour of the previous two films. 😅 This franchise is truly amazing. They reinvented themselves, spectacularly, multiple times with multiple genres, each with GREAT quality. Bride and Seed were so wild and hilarious! And then, after another long lapse of time, Curse of Chucky comes along to fit in the modern dramatic horror trend, and is probably the best horror movie of that period. I love how much you guys are enjoying this franchise. I think it is so underrated as people think it's "just a doll". This franchise has proven that it can do pretty much any genre and still feel right, still feel like it's the same characters.
😊 the two of you have got me making so many comments, but they’re too precious. Roxy gets so zoned out not too many people can shake you with the scare and gets zoned out that she has no peripheral view so she doesn’t know what’s going on. That’s what makes you too classic for these reviews, I love you too together😊😊😊😊😊
One of my favourite chucky movies my top 3 are. 1. Child's play 2 2. Child's play 3. Curse of chucky I love that it returned more to its horror routes. Also adding Fiona dourif to the franchise is probably one of the best choices they've made in a while.
There are only 2 nitpicks I have with this movie. 1. They never explain how we went from Chucky being chopped up into pieces at the end of Seed of Chucky, to now in this movie he's put back together? 2. In previous films, any time Chucky gets cut, he's made of flesh under the doll exterior. Yet in this movie, his head falls off and it's just more plastic underneath, allowing him to attach his head again?
So glad you loved this one! Was nervous how you two would feel about the tone shift but this franchise melds comedy and horror effortlessly and differently each time! You got to meet one of my favorite characters with Nica! Fiona Dourif is so good! Can’t wait for Cult and *hopefully the TV series* Need Greg to know that I would 100% pay for Patreon reactions to the show I’m that in need of them 😂💀
Poor Roxy and Tara progressively finding out in real time how horribly snubbed by critics and awards, and even distributors, the horror genre has always been.
Theres more flashback thats goes into more about how Chucky got caught if you watch the tv show. You find out in the first season and it's a really good reveal that ties together with this.
Roxy and Tara! My favorites! Finally got time to watch this and as I’m going to click on the video. The first thing I said in my head was Tara’s bell jingle. It’s just in my head! Love you both so much and I can’t wait to PURGE this movie!!!! ❤❤ love my SHEJECTS forever!
... hmm ... I wonder how many younger folk don't know that's a callback to a pop song (by Anita Ward) ? Bit of a one hit wonder, but it was EVERYWHERE back in the day.
😊 oh wow totally forgot the girl in the wheelchair is Fiona, Brad Douriff’s daughter🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 PS. BRAD WAS 64 when he did curse, and he still sounds practically the same as when he started the whole franchise one of the iconic voices of all time
I always heard that Child's Play 3 was going to include a scene at the beginning where they have a court scene where they commit Andy's mom to a mental hospital. They never use it but this film includes a court scene at the end. I'm pretty sure it's not coincidental that Mancini brought the idea back but in a different storyline.
19:50😮 tell me that is not only a plot twist, but I call back to bound. 🎉🎉🎉 29:00😮 wait a minute! Did the dad just say there’s a nanny cam inside the Chucky doll? 😮 39:2039:40. When Chucky said say hi to the little woman, he was talking about the dad‘s wife.
I was SO excited when I saw this was coming out, one of the big selling points was a return to Chucky's horror roots, and it had been so long sense we got ANYTHING new with Chucky and it has always been my favorite horror series of all time and this movie revitalize the franchise and that it had a stinger had us frothing at the mouth for more! Can't wait for y'all to get to the series! The current season is PEAK!❤️🔥
This was one of the good ones. Besides the SGI for Chucky looking like he was down Yk. Had them Icespice eyes They missed 10:49 the first time you could actually see his face change.
this is arguably one of my favourite Chucky films...it is dark and sinister and you learn about Charles' past a lot. the part with the priest and when he realises ho chucky is that is so disturbing. this is the family Chucky hurt the most...the night Chucky became a doll for the first time...was the night Charles tried to kill someone from this family...and now he's come to finish the job. i remember fans being angry about Chucky looking "new" and "fresh" yeah well...looks can be deceiving. the priest has a horrible feeling he knows something about the doll...that is why chucky poisoned him.
I loooooove this movie. And I remember when it came out I was like "REALLY? Another Chucky movie? Do we need that? It must be trash" And I didn't watch it for years and then I think it was just last year that I watched it and as I said, I loved it! My top 3 Chucky movies are this one, Bride and the first one (not in that order) And I'm so happy that you ladies enjoyed it too
Love this movie, it brings back that more serious chucky from the first movie while still keeping in touch with its roots. Can't wait to see you guy react to cult.
This was never my favourite movie in the franchise but Roxy and Tara have made me retroactively like this movie more just because of their reactions to it, they're just too much fun I love them!☺💖
The actress of Nica isn't actually wheelchair bound that was just for the character,I know that because of her character in True Blood haha didn't even relize that was her until you checked it so thanks for that. Any way so glad you both liked this one because it was also my favorite of them all exept for the first one of course. I think you missed a after credit scene. Any way glad you are enjoying the chucky Franchise cause it really is a good one. If you saw Insidious 2 then the actress of Nica's sister plays Parker Crane's mother there. Grate reaction as always girls, glad to see fellow horror lovers and Halloween is my favorite holiday too.
They retcon this in the series. In this movie they show that chucky hurt nicas mom and was chased by the police to the toy store that is the beginning of Childs Play but they change it completely in the show. I wont say how just clearing up potential confusion the future.
I remember back in the day, there was a lot of complains about the doll, how it didn't look right (I was also one of those), just to see him being literally unmasked, it was great!
😮 fun fact, creativity Mancini, who did the entire film franchise is the show runner for the Chucky TV series 😮 I haven’t watched cult of Chucky yet. But I have a suspicion that in the movies she is Chucky’s actual daughter 😊 there’s a two minute deleted scene from curse of Chucky that you guys might want to find on RUclips. It helps set up the next movie if you want to check it out it involves Andy.

I literally have fell in love with you guys duo reactions💜.. keep them coming‼️🔥🔥
So glad you loved this one! Was nervous how you two would feel about the tone shift but this franchise melds comedy and horror effortlessly and differently each time! You got to meet one of my favorite characters with Nica! Fiona Dourif is so good! Can’t wait for Cult and *hopefully the TV series*
Need Greg to know that I would 100% pay for Patreon reactions to the show I’m that in need of them 😂💀
Let's go scream queens! Love this so much.
YASS QUEEN
7:29 The one in the wheelchair is NOT Summer Howell. The one in the wheelchair is Fiona Dourif and she is Brad's daughter
10:18 Roxy's being nice. A lil jump? There's basically zero movement whatsoever. :O
Lol I wanted to be nice
Poor Roxy and Tara progressively finding out in real time how horribly snubbed by critics and awards, and even distributors, the horror genre has always been.
Theres more flashback thats goes into more about how Chucky got caught if you watch the tv show. You find out in the first season and it's a really good reveal that ties together with this.
Roxy and Tara! My favorites! Finally got time to watch this and as I’m going to click on the video. The first thing I said in my head was Tara’s bell jingle. It’s just in my head! Love you both so much and I can’t wait to PURGE this movie!!!! ❤❤ love my SHEJECTS forever!
haha that makes me so happy!
... hmm ... I wonder how many younger folk don't know that's a callback to a pop song (by Anita Ward) ? Bit of a one hit wonder, but it was EVERYWHERE back in the day.
@@rmhartman I know that. I just think about Tara and rejects when I hear it now.
*WHAT LITTLE WOMAN?!?!* 😂😂😂
did chucky mean barb or jill?
😊 oh wow totally forgot the girl in the wheelchair is Fiona, Brad Douriff’s daughter🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 PS. BRAD WAS 64 when he did curse, and he still sounds practically the same as when he started the whole franchise one of the iconic voices of all time
And he's 74 now and still doing it....
That "PURGE" scare was so early on, I wasn't expecting it either! lmao! 😂😂😂
Watching the ladies go through this series is my absolute favorite thing to do lately! Great job ladies!
19:50😮 tell me that is not only a plot twist, but I call back to bound. 🎉🎉🎉
29:00😮 wait a minute! Did the dad just say there’s a nanny cam inside the Chucky doll?
😮 39:20 39:40. When Chucky said say hi to the little woman, he was talking about the dad‘s wife.
26:08 Now i get it seeing that he was gunned down in Chicago..they must've sent his body back to New Jersey leading up to Bride Of Chucky movie
Loving the reactions to the Chucky and Freddy franchises...great job ladies!!
The post credit scene 👌👌💀
😊Roxy. You are like lightning fast with that pillow and the purge it’s like second nature to you now.
😂
Happy Horror/Thriller Thursday, I’m loving Tara and Roxy’s Chucky journey hope you guys get to react to the series ❤❤
This was one of the good ones. Besides the SGI for Chucky looking like he was down Yk. Had them Icespice eyes
They missed 10:49 the first time you could actually see his face change.
You guy should watch the documentary called My Life with Chucky if you haven't yet. It's all about how the Chucky franchise is a family business
Tara is TO DIE FOR! 😍
Aww youre the best! This brightens my day
This is and will forever be the best of the franchise 🙌 I love this movie and its honestly my favourite slasher film
Sorry. Cult is the best one. This one is right up there though.
this is arguably one of my favourite Chucky films...it is dark and sinister and you learn about Charles' past a lot. the part with the priest and when he realises ho chucky is that is so disturbing. this is the family Chucky hurt the most...the night Chucky became a doll for the first time...was the night Charles tried to kill someone from this family...and now he's come to finish the job.
i remember fans being angry about Chucky looking "new" and "fresh" yeah well...looks can be deceiving.
the priest has a horrible feeling he knows something about the doll...that is why chucky poisoned him.
I loooooove this movie. And I remember when it came out I was like "REALLY? Another Chucky movie? Do we need that? It must be trash" And I didn't watch it for years and then I think it was just last year that I watched it and as I said, I loved it! My top 3 Chucky movies are this one, Bride and the first one (not in that order) And I'm so happy that you ladies enjoyed it too
Favorite duo watching my favorite franchise. Great video, ladies. ❤
Important post credit scene "Curse of Chucky Final Scene (after credits)"
Love this movie, it brings back that more serious chucky from the first movie while still keeping in touch with its roots. Can't wait to see you guy react to cult.
This was never my favourite movie in the franchise but Roxy and Tara have made me retroactively like this movie more just because of their reactions to it, they're just too much fun I love them!☺💖
I love how for half of this film it seems almost like a soft reboot and then it goes full sequel once we get the face reveal.
Always a good day when we get a Roxy and Tara video AND it's continuing Chucky. LETS GOO
Fiona Dourif (Nica) is Brad Dourif's ( Chucky) daughter.
They retcon this in the series. In this movie they show that chucky hurt nicas mom and was chased by the police to the toy store that is the beginning of Childs Play but they change it completely in the show. I wont say how just clearing up potential confusion the future.
Much respect ladies ❤❤❤ yall are scream queens after my own ♥ Fiona Douriff is so good as Nica❤❤❤
41:39
“Killed the dad by drowning him”
The creator probably meant it to be obvious so the title “lakeshore strangler” is solidified
I remember back in the day, there was a lot of complains about the doll, how it didn't look right (I was also one of those), just to see him being literally unmasked, it was great!
😮 fun fact, creativity Mancini, who did the entire film franchise is the show runner for the Chucky TV series
😮 I haven’t watched cult of Chucky yet. But I have a suspicion that in the movies she is Chucky’s actual daughter
😊 there’s a two minute deleted scene from curse of Chucky that you guys might want to find on RUclips. It helps set up the next movie if you want to check it out it involves Andy.
