Cousin…I’ve got 100s of pieces I’ve sourced over the last ten years…individually bagged and I’m burned out on the research. However I still go into consignment to buy things for my self and see money laying there and can’t pass it up because of the knowledge I’ve gained. 😂but I am trying to list a few pieces at a time. I’m looking for a better way than listing on eBay for my own sanity…still to this day I have knowledge but always having to learn.
BTW Nauvoo, Illinois was a town originally called "Venus" by it's residents until the Mormons re-settled it as their adopted new homeland in the 19th century, -this is the homeland before Salt Lake City, UT, but anyway, as you can imagine there is more to that story. I don't know of the sunstone reference but it sounds religious to me.
Rusty I used to take my clothes that I no longer wore to consignment shops and when they sell (“IF” they sell) the shop owner takes the bigger cut of the money they sell for (I forget the percentage) but I didn’t total much money back to even be worth the trouble. It’s no way to make money! Also, regarding one of your jewelry pieces this video marked Vatican Collection-you don’t have to visit the Vatican to buy that. They sell a brand named “Vatican Collection” at Macy’s. It’s lot of religious looking pieces if you’re interested in that type of jewelry. Thanks for sharing-love your channel
Wow, well done. I don't know what a consignment shop is as we don't have them in New Zealand but I'm guessing it might be what we call Charity or Opportunity shops where people donate stuff they don't want and the shop sells it for charity. I'm going to head out tomorrow and start looking!!
@@chrispotter219 around here consignment shops are where people bring in things and the stores sell them and take a cut of the sale. Usually a pretty big cut. The store will keep the item for a few months and if it doesn’t sell you can either pick up your item or the store will donate it to charity. These types of stores are generally more expensive than thrift but also have nicer things.

I have a question for you please. I watched a video of yours where you said solid gold is not attracted to a magnet. I was wondering if sterling or solid silver too will not come to a magnet? I recently purchased a small, silver trinket box for five New Zealand dollars, with no markings, and after viewing your video, I tried it and it will not come to a magnet. Totally unresponsive. Could this possibly be a great find? Thank you
I have been watching your videos more & more. I'm learning.. i have to Admit I'm having trouble finding marks & when i do. I'm having trouble finding what the marks mean? I recently found jewelry jars with a Lot of jewelry under 4-6 dollars .. having fun seeing what i get only wish i knew more about pieces & prices.. You give so much info to us i Thank You.. i sold on ebay Years ago. 1st time doing jewelry. Because i cannot work from a kidney disease I found i have.. I'm trying to sell again. I do go to pawn shops, but jewelry is not usually the type of item I get there..
I went to consignment they had like new for $2 I was shocked at the high quality and name!
