Hemalatha ramalingam. At 3.21, the volume of nitrogen and oxygen should be taken in account with respect to the space they are kept. They are kept in an enclosed space so even if the amount of gas increases, the volume will not increase because it is an enclosed space, (volume is space occupied by a molecule, in this case it is constant because of sealed space)so the pressure will be increased.
But the case will be different for lungs because lungs are inflatable and it constantly changes in volume.
