Who else watched this performance more than once? Damn! This is how to do it. Her voice, her movements, her energy, her screams, her band OMG. This is perfection. I'd be surprised if she doesn't win, but what the hell, her career has already taken off headed to the STARS. AGT is the platform but the world is her stage.❤

@@anovosedlik Well, she's not on AGT anymore. She comes across as a bit arrogant, to be honest. Thinks she's a superstar and deserves everything. That's not what people like to see on this show, and that's why they chose Richard Goodall instead. He's raw, humble and genuine.
And that's why they went with Ashes & Arrows too. Three cool and humble guys just singing without any crazy production value. Often less is more.
@@THU31 ...Goodall is one that I do believe is legit just a random guy. But most of AGT and BGT is totally fabricated. The magic is painfully fake. Slight of hand stuff is different (my ex roomie was a magician), but the mentalist stuff is SO fake. And even the music acts now are kinda BS. BGT's 2024, winner Sydnie Christmas, was already a mid-star on Britain's version of Broadway, yet she made herself out to be this girl that was just a receptionist with no previous work in entertainment. They also bring acts that do well on the other franchises (ie, take people that won on BGT and put them on AGT). The whole idea that these people auditioning are looked over, ignored, struggling artists is total BS. I feel like AGT is where you go when you've had a pretty good career so far, but you're stalling cuz the online world is super congested and cable isn't.

I’ve loved Liv since she joined Prince back in 2010, I think. She is fabulous and Prince would be so proud of her 💜 This song is on an album she worked on with him called The Unexpected. Great album. He also recorded the song and called it Wow! She is totally fabulous and such a lovely woman. I wish I could vote but cannot as I’m in the UK ☹️ This lady is the real deal 💜 I’m crying watching this!

Agree! I saw an interview with her years back. She mentioned her roots are really rock and ppl don’t know what to do with a black woman in rock. Prince did! I am so happy she is getting this attention, she deserves it.

But the label wanted him to do R&B when he wanted to do rock. So, some black singers want to do rock music, but their labels want them to do R&B, hip-hop, etc. Mary J. Blige did sing some rock songs in the Rock of Ages musical movie. Particularly, Journey's song "Any Way You Want It". She also sang a cover of the song "Stairway to Heaven". American Idol contestant, Melinda Doolittle, also had a backing singer background, like Liv. She sang Bon Jovi's song "Have a Nice Day" on Idol, where Simon, said she was" like a young Tina Turner". On Masked singer Kandi Burruss, as Night Angel, sang covers of the rock songs "Black Velvet" and "You Give Love a Bad Name". T-Pain did a great cover of "American Woman" on Masked Singer. He was covering Lenny Kravitz's version. Even iconic singer, Patti LaBelle, sang some rock songs on Masked Singer. She sang Heart's song "Alone" and Survivor's song "Eye of the Tiger". Though, her voice fitted "Alone" better than "Eye of the Tiger". Decades ago, on Star Search, contestant Reva Rice sang some covers of Heart songs on the show. On the past season of the Voice, one guy sang a great version of Journey's song "Lights". There is a black European melodic rock lead singer on the Italian label Frontier's roster. I don't remember the name of his group, though.

I can second this! One of the times I saw her live was in Minneapolis in a legendary small jazz club. I’ve been to a LOT of shows in my life - that show was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. I was on a high, I didn’t want to leave the venue.

Whats interesting although this song was written for Liv as it's stating but this song was already done on an actual album a few years ago by Prince last girl rock band by the name of 3rd Eye I believe they were called. That song was titled Wow.

I flew in to see the 11 acts on Tuesday evening, Aug 13, and Liv Warfield's E L E C T R I C, unparalleled talent while she was soulfully belting out her song had tears streaming down my face. Never in my life have I heard talent like hers shared in an auditorium, and I thank my lucky stars that I had the most beautiful opportunity to hear Liv perform live on stage, directly for all of us. I now tell everyone I know about the absolute magnitude of her tremendous voice and unmatched talent. What a megastar, powerhouse of a woman that our ears and senses are blessed with when Liv and her band perform!💛💛💛💛💛
