It's been fantastic in Corio Bay in the last few weeks, stonker whiting and some solid pinkies. In the new section near the yacht club, the yellow X markers are where there used to be a pier that burnt down, the rubble has made a great reef, which is why it appears as two channels.
yep sure has, I went down to Limburners a week after this session and had a ball too with a few different species coming aboard. I thought it was something like that.
Another great video Steve. I'm going to be landbased fishing in Geelong in about 2 weeks. Reckon fishing soft plastics off the wharfs and jetties around the waterfront is the best bet? Any idea what species are likely to be biting in May/June?
Hey mate, yeah geelong waterfront is a brilliant place to fish, make sure you use lightly weighted soft plastics, I would almost go with a 1/16 or 1/20 ounce hidden weight system jig head depending on wind speed. cast around the yachts and the jetty pylons, should have you tangling with a few different species, salmon, pinkies, trevally, the odd bream too
Good little mash up mate. 🎣🤙
Glad you enjoyed it mate.
