Karan is being professional and focused on the work they did together , unlike his approach nowadays where he asks questions that are unrelated to the profession of the person he is interviewing. Listen to his questions it’s so direct clear and all about work and deeply accurate which is what we really care about as viewers but todays he is all about relationships love sex who is dating who who is sleeping with who trying to know what’s going on on personal level which is so irrelevant to me
