Did you even shoot with it ? I have it and keep it on my camera all the time as a walk around lens so I like it. I just don’t understand the point of your video but I guess I can say that about most RUclips videos.
Lenses at f/4 were a deal breaker for so long, in terms of available light performance. But now with sensors' SNR being so incredible, the only real drawback is what kind of DoF you're trying to accomplish. 20-70mm is a great all-a-round for architecture, or possibly talking head videos, imo. 😄 Happy Holidays, everyone!
Interesting lens, but I think I will stick with the Sony 24-105 f4 over this 20-70. I don't the extra 4mm on the wide end will be as useful as the 35mm on the long end. Just my cents!
I have this lens, and it's really sharp and super fast focusing. For me, I wrestled with this vs 24-70 f2.8 GMII. The price difference was hard to go with the GM, and definitely find the extra 4mm really great to have. I've left my 16-35mm home more and more because of the 20mm.
I probably would have gotten this if it would have been available at the time instead of my Tamron 17-28, 28-200 and 24mm GM. For shallow DoF and low light my 35mm f1.8 does the job. However, now I have them I am not going to change even if less changing of lenses does sound very appealing.
diclicked ring is cool BUT how many people are actually changing aperture mid video? and of those who do, how many are actually going to do that on a regular basis?
sometimes its not about changing aperture mid video, but the effortless nature of declicked makes it easier to change aperture in a rigged camera position.

combination of two lens 20-70 f4 and 85 f1.8 would be best combo
So why no mention of the a6400. It's such a great camera
