You know the secondary villains are bad when they make beetlejuice seem good by comparison. He's a complete sleaze and psychopath but at least he's totally upfront about it.
@@ZukoHalliwell And what better way to do it by using the director’s worst case scenario death nightmare!? Totally fits in the spirit of the franchise!
I've been so excited to see you react to this movie, mostly because of Rory. I hated his guts, and I knew you would too. (He reminds me of Brian Griffin from Family Guy.) 😂 You may find this hard to believe, but there are actually some people (including Winona Ryder) who want Lydia and Beetlejuice to end up together.
A million percent agree. Really good movie stakes, great buildup, but it was the anticlimactic ending that pushed it down. HOWEVER, still a fun little add-on to the original. Delia being Delia was just *chef's kiss*
I feel like the sequel is mostly meant to be a love letter to the fans that still wanted it 30 years later. I left the movie very emotionally satisfied. I totally agreed to any observations you had where the movie kind of trips over itself just to have an ending however.
My wife and I watched this last night. It was nowhere near as good as the first one, but still enjoyable for the most part. Michael Keaton as Betelgeuse is always fun to watch. I'm not sure how I feel about them using Jeffrey Jones's likeness for Charles Dietz. From what I understand after Back to the Future 2, if you use an actor's likeness, they do need to be compensated for that. I haven't heard if that was the case or not.
Why would Jenna Ortega's character get both name and nationality wrong???? Maria Skłodowska - Curie identified as Polish! She leaved in her Polish family in occupied Poland for the first 24 years of her life, risking her life by speaking Polish language and learning in underground Polish schools. She only migrated to France because she couldn't study in occupied Poland. She insisted on keeping her Polish surname after her marriage which was unheard of at that time. It's horrible you butcher her name and call her a feminist, yet you take away her surname in spite of her wishes and only call her by her husband's. She was deeply patriotic, risking her safety naming the first element she invented Polonium after Poland, since Poland was under Russian occupation and she knew it would make Russian government angry. She made sure her children knew Polish. She was Polish first, eventually French second. Maria Skłodowska Curie would hate it. A little respect for the woman please
I think your the first one to react to this film. Congratulations
He’s always the first reaction I ever see to a movie on RUclips
@@Jackferrett6781 You would think his channel would be more popular.
The juice is loose was from the first Beetlejuice in 1988. We just used it during the OJ trial cause it was funny

What do u mean bad ?

Not gonna lie, I did not expect Danny DeVito to be in this movie.
2:20 Wow... They went Team America just to not bring back that guy xD
If you followed Tim Burton's career, you'd know that he loves doing stop motion. But yes, they went stop motion just to not bring back that guy.
@@ZukoHalliwell also the entire sequence of his death is based on a nightmare of Tim Burton’s about his untimely death.
@@Otisboy121 I heard about that. I honestly thought the death sequence was just the writers trying to think of the worst way to punish the actor. 😅

If Beetlejuice gets a 3rd movie, I hope its "beetlejuice beetlejuice beeeeetle-" to continue the theme without making another movie impossible
27:46 I don't know if we're getting a sequel, but if we are, you know damn well that's not what they're gonna call it. 🤣

Awesome soundtrack
I had never heard MacArthur Park before, but I instantly recognized the song as Weird Al did a parody of it called Jurassic Park.
