- Every conflict in which America has since been engaged has seen an increase in reliance on the armored tank to determine the outcome of battle. During decisive moments in the heat of combat, the Army engages the most advanced mobile land-based armored vehicles in the world to disable and destroy the enemy. The soldiers who operate and maintain the Abrams M1 tank, are M1 Armor Crewman.

Was a 19k. You'll spend 90% of the time doing pmcs/ maintenance/ standing in front of the hull watching one guy work.
How often did you guys get to do gunnery practice?
@@The_Honcho at Fort bliss we shot a full table 12 gunnery twice a year. As a career driver who ended up driving for both the CO and Xo for my last 9 months in the army, I can tell you being a driver during gunnery is incredibly boring and anti climatic. Its driver move up, driver back down, driver move out, driver stop. Id say if your dead set on joining the army, join as a pog like a 88m or 92f or something easy. My advice, join the air force, in the end its about quality of life, you'll learn after a few years, it doesn't matter if your comabt arms or a pog.

Plus I think Ukraine is showing that these might be giant metal coffins in the event of a modern conventional war.
Sounds great, where do I sign up? Just please don't let me get stationed at Hood
That moment when you see yourself in a recruiting video being one of the goobers on a track
How did it go? They just showed up while you were in OSUT and started filming? We had some stuff like that when i went thru years ago, never found out where the videos went tho lol
My dream job in the army!!
Wow! The army has definitly changed. When I was in the tankers were all trained in Ft. Knox Kentucky.

@@TheTurkishParamedic Merhaba. Ilk gorev yeriniz neresi oldu? Kocaniz isinden memnun mu?
I wanna do this taking the asvab Tuesday hopefully I score high enough!
I’m thinking of being a tanker, seems like a cool and unique job
If u want to be a mechanic all day and using a tank maybe 1 hour a day
@@Daniel-yb7ry I wish they were more honest in these videos about certain jobs. A Tank Crewman is mostly a general maintenance mechanic. That is FANTASTIC. Most of this video talks about being a tank operator. So guys/gals looking to do something more mechanical and operational will get the impression this isn't entirely mechanical. 19K sounds like a great job to have if you love machines.
Probably not the best for people above 6 foot.
Did female SPC rly say, "It's a great way to work on your bravery skills." ?
Yes. Your "bravery skill". Very important skill. Well done SPC. *facepalm*
Guys no it’s a trap all u do is camo net layouts
So after OSUT the experience is comparable to almost every other lower enlisted in combat arms?
Serious question
I’m in the Navy but I’m changing to army and hopefully 19k
Same here brotha.
Not a fan of my rate one bit.
Terrible day for my ship date 9/11.

Whats your experience been like??
@@terrycloud6437 failed the drug test at meps now a 88L water credit engineer boat fields nice and handing out hella bonuses
@@terrycloud6437 I failed the drug test got a waiver and now in sign as an 88 Lima boat is probably the best so far they have huge bonuses going right now and not only that but it’s super chill
@@terrycloud6437ended up failing a test at meps and now I’m a 88L watercraft engineer one of the most relaxed mos would recommend
Shipping to Fort Benning on June 24 for OSUT, can’t wait!!!!

What are the requirements to be a tanker?
An 87 on the ASVAB CO section and being less than 6 foot 1
@@crabyninjagamer5665 so I have to score more than 90 in the ASVAB to get that job??
@@Daniel-yb7ry from what I've been reading yes
@@Daniel-yb7ry 35+ overall, not hard at all to score a tanker tbh
@@Daniel-yb7ry No, there is a score on the asvab, for the army, called "CO", stands for "combat". Its that score.
Badass!!
