15:18 I just love the outtakes where it is just action and that no one says anything - Bob Monkhouse being upstaged by the prop briefcase with pound notes in is one of the funniest. Just shows you that a professional entertainer like Monkhouse could easily take a joke when something went wrong as he was obviously used to comedy himself!
I remember bumping into dennis norden in london while on a school trip to see cats,i probably pestered him to much and he told me to fuck off,r.i.p dennis it was nice meeting you! Xx
I remember bumping into one of my uncles in London when I was about 14 when he was with his latest girlfriend that wasn't his latest wife....awkward! Uncle Ron loved the ladies! 😉
@LovecraftComedy THANK YOU SO MUCH for uploading this! Had it on tape for years, recorded from the original airing, and it has to be the funniest episode of all the Alright On The Nights - I occasionally remember the tree-planting guy in particular and still laugh to myself about it, and people have also heard me say "who's that walking across that sky?" if the sun suddenly goes behind a cloud. I can finally show my kids this now, so again, thanks very much! 😂😂
First one - clearly nobody had no clue about how this is done. When ships were made of iron - a regular bottle is fine. But, this boat is clearly fibreglass so a special bottle is needed.
This show has been there most of my life, I think. It wasn't made as a series, like other shows. It popped onto our screens once or twice a year, seemingly at random. Once they had enough footage, out popped a show. I don't think any other show was made that way.
Well they probably had a network of staffers who would collect these clips then they would probably have to get the rights to show these clips. Originally they were probably considered valueless, but this show would have made them worth something over the years. Originally it was probably a very cheap show to produce. I expect many of todays networks would let go of these clips to protect their "assets".
One day, somehow, I'll get to find out why I found Glenda Jackson so blooming irresistible. She made several excellent films with George Segal, including "A Touch of Class" for which she won an Oscar, but my favourite was a film she made with Walter Matthau, "Hopscotch", a frothy but enjoyable spy romp.
It's only when you edit Denis out, you realise how much you need him there, and jus how good he was compared to griff Rhys Jones who presents it now,. Mainly you need him here to put the clips in context, or let you know what links them...... Better with him in.
Colin I disagree - you don't need context for these clips, imo they speak for themselves and are hilarious even without the droll interludes from Mr Norden.
I take your point, but to be honest when I video recorded these shows in the early 1990s and played them back, I often fast forwarded the Denis Norden bits to get to the outtakes.
Hypodemic Nurdles....I use them professionally. Dare I say it? And the tree planting guy - I've thought of everything else, EXCEPT WHERE HE PLANTED THE TREES. And then the spade broke. And the pixie ring of fire girl. They never get stale
Okay so I remember watching that link (I assume it's a link?) that went wrong with "Within These Walls". Very rare that something like that would make it into a bloopers compilation though!
I'm sure the "Hyperdeemic Nerdle" lady was shown needing multiple takes on one showing of this ep, it seems she couldn't get it right even after many, many tries, but I've never been able to locate that. Maybe my brain is mis-remembering...
Reminds me of childhood. Used to look forward to these 😍 Rest in peace Dennis Norden.
Golden age of tv I reckon.
The guess what's in the box guy absolutely killed me.
Absolutely clueless!
I would ask; "Is it valuable?"
@@stevie-ray2020 I swear, no matter how many times I watch that clip I'm in stitches.
Dennis Norden was the VERY BEST ;
15:20 RIP Bob monkhouse you will be sadly missed by millions of fans who are always there to support you
It's just not the same without Denis Norden-...RIP Mr Norden
Couldn't stand him
Even though I haven't seen the shows these are bloopers for, I still find them funny.
There is something universally humorous about people failing.
"Who the hell is walking across that sky?!"
Hahahahaha!
The first clip is absolute perfection.
I used to love watching this back in the day. Great laughs👍👍

Absolutely creased 😂😂
Bloody amazing x😊

Good god. There's still a piece of my brain that (quarter-) remembers this from when I was a kid ❤️

Sleeping bag at the ready when Norden comes out... Dullllll
Rest in peace Denis norden 1922-2018
Amazing- the ‘ring of fire’ is clearly a children’s program but the guy with the extinguisher is carrying a gun ! Great example.
2:20 When a man is tired of London, he falls in a hole. I guess it's a good thing there is a lot to do in London.
That Irish guy at 30.38 had me pissing myself. Talk about rapid fire speech! I kept watching it over and over again. Lol
I want to send that section to a friend who is Mexican and tell him this person is speaking English... It will curl his ears.
First one - clearly nobody had no clue about how this is done. When ships were made of iron - a regular bottle is fine. But, this boat is clearly fibreglass so a special bottle is needed.
"With Denis Norden edited out" - Well now that's forever. RIP Denis.
I remember when thus first started, it was great as 'Bloopers' then were an unknown quantity !. It was great family viewing !
Love that "hypodeemic nerdle"!!! Classic :)
I remember this show. It used to be the highlight of the week on TV.
Talking books for the deaf! Omg 😂😂😂
That was Hysterical! My favourite bit was definitely the "hyperdeemic Nerdle" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
lol, yeh hyperdeemic nerdles used by dradd uggicts ;D
Hypodemic nerdle got me rocking 😂
"Did he say why he committed suicide" Very strange question to ask. Bravo the young lad for the answer though :)
That attempted interview with Andretti was probably the most glorious Effup I've ever seen!
32:20 I was wondering why all we could see was an empty gantry!
This show has been there most of my life, I think. It wasn't made as a series, like other shows. It popped onto our screens once or twice a year, seemingly at random. Once they had enough footage, out popped a show. I don't think any other show was made that way.
I think they were doing it on purpose in the end to get footage for the show😂

2:58 WOW I'M SURPRISED THEY DIDN'T BLUR THAT OUT!
Still it makes for pleasant viewing
When a boat is christened, it is considered very bad luck for the bottle to not break.
It was funny when he said Dan Dare Airways as that was what everyone used to call them back in the day.
Who's here from Tom Scott?
You’re right, written by and arranged and probably played by Tom Scott
Im here coz i watched it as a kid
I have to agree, the Tom Scott video is an absolute treat. But I'm here, because this was massive back in the 80s. Good times.
RIP comedy king.
Remember watching these as a kid. Was a proper family event as they were not on a lot. We still talk about hyperdeemic nerdle to this day.
10:55 WONDERFUL!
The funniest two words ever spoken 29:43
07:11 Horrible Life Shampoo 🤣🤣😆😂
I need that shampoo in my life. It would fit in so perfectly.
Surprised that Miss Elf didn't suggest fetching some marshmallows after all that!
That man planting the tree. Hahahahhahahahaha
Just to let you all know we have some sad news. Denis Norden has sadly passed away aged 96. Take comfort, my friends.
So young!
I haven’t seen these in years. Thanks for the reminder
Brilliant………
Talking books for the deaf!
I will always remember WORZEL swearing, MEG JACKSON from Cell Block H and TIMOTHY SPALL getting caught on the lorry back - from this 1997 episode.
It's only when you edit Denis out, you realise how much you need him there, and jus how good he was compared to griff Rhys Jones who presents it now,. Mainly you need him here to put the clips in context, or let you know what links them...... Better with him in.

@@GeorgeASFTHM Could be worse; you could have David Walliams' unfunny commentary throughout
I feel like he was necessary for the World of Sport one.
21:20 here’s f1 driver Mario Andretti and his son Michael Andretti followed in his footsteps in 1993
6:15 oh ouch he’s in pain
My favourite clip...Within These Walls...the inmates are a bit rowdy!!😄😄
The fake laughs drown out the dialogue, you can’t hear the pissin words
Hypodemic Nurdles....I use them professionally. Dare I say it? And the tree planting guy - I've thought of everything else, EXCEPT WHERE HE PLANTED THE TREES. And then the spade broke. And the pixie ring of fire girl. They never get stale
33:00 They say they are still trying to put out the ring of fire too this very day.
16:15 do you remember this classic clip with the great Richard whiteley who got bitten by a ferret on the finger
Not seen Adam Chance, in over 40 years.
19.00 - perfect Dennis Norden!
Note! 4:15 is not Cannon. It is the pilot ep for Barnaby Jones that Willaim Conrad guest-starred as Cannon in.
Just the gaffs - much better than with all the chat
I'm sure I remember watching It'll be alright on the night when I was a kid back in the 80's. Or am I going crazy?....
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂😄😃 I love you for uploading this 😄😄😆😃 🙏 bless...thank you 💞🦘🇦🇺🌟👍.
8:12 They should have subtitles for the blind...
I wonder if that fire is still lit? Lol
12:49 needs a bit of context. Miss Australia's name was actually Leanne Dick...
33:21 that fire is still refusing to be put out
The Mario Andretti interview saga was hilarious =D
R.I.P Denis Norden
Aww :(
Okay so I remember watching that link (I assume it's a link?) that went wrong with "Within These Walls". Very rare that something like that would make it into a bloopers compilation though!
Bloody hell whoever was in charge of implementing that unilateral recording must have been fired, what a ballsup haha!
nope - just another day at the office! Happened with surprising regularity.
RIP Denis.
28:59 he’s so close to get his head knocked out by the planes wing
6:47 'trouble with low level ozone'.... ah that decade's 'climate crisis'...
Peter sellers still makes me laugh 😃
Is that Annette Crosbie @ 28:40?
I've just spotted my own face in the background of one of these clips. I'm old.
3:54 ouch
30:06 it’s Colin baker the former news correspondent
@ 6:36 Excuse me madam.....😄😄
Congratulations
I believe this is the first time that this episode which didn’t have Denis norden doing the host on this one
Your belief is incorrect, I just cut him out.
34:15 that fire is still not going out
Why is Denis Norden taken out? He made the programme.
@42:00 Is that a young Janet Street-Porter?
So who is the pink haired girl?
I'm sure the "Hyperdeemic Nerdle" lady was shown needing multiple takes on one showing of this ep, it seems she couldn't get it right even after many, many tries, but I've never been able to locate that.
Maybe my brain is mis-remembering...
0:08 look it’s Joanna lumley
you now have 3,000 subscribers! (Thursday 11th February 2021)
29:40 is the hyperdeemic nurdle
Nicer times
7:40 Even a child knows, there is a such thing as a stupid question.
@ 18:21 I saw Denis Norden. You lied to us.
@28:41 - Is that Annette Crosbie ("ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE" ) ??
Yes.
Is the clip of ted rogers on 321 saying do go away in this compilation?
What happened to the guy in the 'Stay With Me Till Morning' clip? 6:01Leg crap?
interesting title sequence
9:11 is , I think, Pink Panther Strikes Again.
Dammit Keith
That fire at 34:25 is still burning to this day
Surprised that Miss Elf didn't suggest fetching some marshmallows after all that!
