Sheesh!!! 🔥🔥🔥Nice battle. Karr and Whitehaven sound so good. It’s like the battle we didn’t know we needed. Outstanding job. Kudos to the Great Directors they have the students well equipped.
Whitehaven with the Alcorn version of Baby Come To Me! Brings back memories both of these bands brought it. I remember being in Valley band 2012 playing all of these songs and Alcorn came back with their version. It sound like a mix of both bands version
Yea you wasn’t watching the same video with this statement…. Haven sound was definitely all over the place compared to Karr… Karr hit them with versatility and dynamics with the first half of this battle while Haven was just blowing with no dynamics and not as much quality plus the director was hardly directing the band 🤷🏾♂️…. I don’t understand how you even fixed your fingers to type this after watching this video…
To me, both bands were at the top of their game this evening! I thought Whitehaven had better dynamics, clarity, intonation, phrasing, articulation, but the drums seem to get out of character at times. Hard to distinguish between tenor and bass at times. Karr’s drums were more consistent in trying to adjust to the indoor atmosphere. The overall band W goes to Haven but very slightly. Comes down to fundamentals of the overall band core of sound for me
Whitehaven back !!! Honestly they went from sounding like Oakhaven over the past few years back to the foundation of how we used to sound… and it’s obviously because of Newsom
Haven fo show edna off tempo they tubas fuckin up haven was jus betta i give kart they props fo them mellos 8 cymbals vs 3 crazy asf and still got dogged wow
Whiteaven finally getting the smoke they been wanting since Mardi Gras 💨💨💨
Great battle, thanks for recording this 🙏

Great job Whitehaven with that strong 💪🏾 sounds . they sound like a college band👍🏾
Judging from the first half Whitehaven has better clarity and intonation… Karr’s trumpets are killing the band at moments.

Haven fo show edna off tempo they tubas fuckin up haven was jus betta i give kart they props fo them mellos 8 cymbals vs 3 crazy asf and still got dogged wow
That's because of the janky setup. Drummers and tubas couldn't see the bd
Karr Cymbals was definitely better🫥😵💫
The only thing I like from us is the band lmao
Plus i see only 5 trumpets actually playin at karr lmao
Stop playin karr don’t play now I think you trippin
