- I make guitar videos on my channel that have been mostly centred around British Indie Pop band 'The 1975'. I currently do the most accurate and up to date versions of their songs and decided to give a go at teaching it to those who are interested after numerous requests. The videos go in depth in what gear you will need, what guitars to use to capture the sound and then a note for note break down for each section of the song. The videos are lengthy as I go into deep detail on how to correctly perform each song. I would love to be able to pump these videos for all of you to learn. The videos just take a long while to edit and record so all support would very, very much be appreciated. Thank You.

@@MichaelLennon To be honest, it was just helpful to have it confirmed that he isn't playing anything more than that D Major shape on the chorus - I tried a bunch of chords previously and they always sounded wrong over the recording, so that explains it

Is this song also slightly pitch shifted like some of their earlier stuff (Sex etc.?) Sounds a bit off when played over the studio track if the strings are not slightly bent.

I think I may have noticed that as well. If it does sounds off then experiment with tuning the strings for the main riff on your guitar slightly up or down. I have a cover on my channel and i actually can’t remember what I done 😅 and I’m from Northern Ireland :) some people love the accent and some people hate it 😂
@MichaelLennon Yeah it had me crazy in the beginning but we just play it in standard tuning when doing it with my band. It bugged the shit out of me before though and I quarter bent every note 🤣

Yeah whenever I was first learning how to play ‘sex’ it would drive me up the wall because I couldn’t understand why everything sounded so out of tune 😂 now whenever I practice their songs I just use a good live version because they’ll be in standard tuning :) and of thanks very much! I really appreciate you checking it out! :) I’m working on another one as we speak but having to produce everything myself is quite challenging, I’m just afraid everything sounds really amateurish but I can’t be too hard on myself. I’m learning just like everyone else had to at some point :) hope your band is coming along well!
