The Super Cyclone is a piece of industrial art! Belongs in a prestigious museum! I am in awe. I am also without a lathe, so I can't do it like you did, but wow. Amazing solution. Thank you for the inspiration.
I have viewed dozens of videos gathering ideas for a cyclone dust collector and I must say that yours stands out as the best! Many thanks for posting this. Andy
I knew I wanted to remove the shopvac bucket but you're the first person I've seen do it. And, this is a very elegant way of doing it, too. I won't be able to replicate your project exactly since I'm latheless, but this is certainly something to aspire to. Thanks for making a great video.
Here I was thinking : ah, just another stacking type of cyclone set up. I am very happy that I decided to watch through and found out how wrong I was. You're a genius. Keep inventing and innovating.
DUDE! I am in the process of getting back into woodworking and setting up my workspace, so I've been checking out everyone else's dust collectors. Your build is without a doubt the best design and execution of the lot. Unfortunately, I might have to work up to this one. Thanks for the inspiration.
All this time/effort/thought/energy/engineering for a simple dust collection unit!? COOL!Its not about the time and effort, its about the satisfaction of a job well done and the fun getting there. 👍🏻
Wow! Charles, you really developed an ingenious, rugged, and sophisticated dust collection system here! I've definitely got some vacuum envy going on! Congratulations on a project well executed!
I have looked at dozens of videos as well but this is by far the best version of this idea! You are not only a craftsman but an artist! My hat off to you sir. I have a Penn State single stage collector that I am seriously thinking about selling to make one of these instead. Nicely done!
I've been looking for ideas on this for a couple of hours. This one is the best by far. Although you have to be willing to trade a substantial amount of your time for the finished product, the result speaks for itself. Very well done, Charles.
Charlie,,, You did IT again !!! Another GREAT Project !!! You should put it into mass production,,, you'd sell thousands... Jack&Lynne in Little Rock Arkansas
Your official score for this video is 12 high-fives. That is the RUclips record for a video in the less than 20 minute category. Style points are also off the charts. Nice job!
I wanted to like this but I couldn't guarantee the like would be perfectly centered and supported as well as providing space for the other likes to fit against it with a minimum of pressure so I will just say.. well done.
I love the creativity and design of this. I looked at your product lists and this was not cheap to build. It cost quite a bit. I very much enjoyed your video and I think your music choice was fine. You do it your way and enjoy it. Thanks again.
You are awesome! I Was looking at lots of videos as well on cyclones and ran across the dust cyclones you can purchase, but before then was also looking at using a dyson, or any other brand cyclone canister to make my own with a vacuum motor . You took it a step further in that everything falls to the bottom! awesome job
A thing of beauty! Beyond my skill level (I don't have a lathe) but I like the lighting and using a bigger bucket makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the ideas and the video.
Well you made me do it. This is my first post to a video! WOW! What an awesome design. You inspire me to get out into the shop and make something. (probably this) Just under 25,000 views as on now, but I am sure this will be watched many more times. You really should submit a patent, and quickly. The cyclonic dust collection makers will definitely be making something like this soon, and you deserve some recognition and compensation!
Excellent design Charlie! Most of these carts I see on RUclips have the same problem. They use the original plastic bucket and lid under the cyclone. Emptying it still means you have to fight with the lid to get it off. This design is far better.
You addressed the short coming I also saw in other designs on RUclips. Those shortcomings being... Big empty vac and small dust receptacle. Good job. I am about to make one for my new shop.
this looks great and very effective way to control dust. looks well thought out and you did your homework on this project. I,ve been thinking about setting a dust system up in my shop, but still trying to make room for everything. I like it that you used youtube as a reference in learning the right way and wrong way to tackle a project like this. I,ve been toying around the idea of making some fliptop stands for some of my tools to free up some space. like you I have been surfing you tube for ideas. very nice project my hat off to you sir.jim
This is great! I am going to attempt something similar, only instead of a 20-gallon bucket, I am going to use the 22-gallon Shop-Vac body with the motor removed. I plan on using the motor the same way you did (on top). Thanks for the great video!
Hi, That is awesome, what an excellent idea. I have been looking into cyclone separators for the last week and just made my first one out of a Sports cone and my wife's plastic porridge container, and it works a treat. It will do for now, but after seeing what you have made, it has inspired me to go further into the project. You have really improved the system. I have had another look at my vacuum and see that I can do the same. Wont be as smart as yours though. Well done. Thanks for showing it. All the best.
Great job Charles. I enjoyed your video it to was well made. Keep them coming please. I just subscribed to your channel. I'll have to check out what ever else you have on RUclips. I'm going to have to build a Cyclone Shop Vac myself. I'd be grateful for your input when I start that project. Thanks again for your time Sir, have a great day!
Impressive work Charlie. I like how you've though through so many potential areas the cyclone could break and built it in a way to prevent that. You definitely have a talent for designing an building in the workshop. I've subscribed to your channel so I can see what you come up with next. Well done!
The spools for your extension cord is one of the best ways I’ve seen to help maintain the life of your cord. No tight bends or kinking!
Easily the most well thought out and functional DIY design I have seen yet. Very impressive.
Thanks!
The Super Cyclone is a piece of industrial art! Belongs in a prestigious museum! I am in awe. I am also without a lathe, so I can't do it like you did, but wow. Amazing solution. Thank you for the inspiration.
Brilliant. Just brilliant sir. It’s sleek, demonstrates craftsmanship with elegance and it works!
Man you woodworkers are a creative industrious bunch.
Overbuilt and over engineered... I love it! lol.
I have viewed dozens of videos gathering ideas for a cyclone dust collector and I must say that yours stands out as the best! Many thanks for posting this. Andy

Been looking for the best way to improve my dust collection. Now I’ve found it. Great design and work.
Got to be the best and most efficient DYI dust collection system I've seen. Thanks
Probably the best cyclone video and definitely the best build I have seen on here . Thanks for sharing
Without a doubt, the best unit on RUclips.
Here I was thinking : ah, just another stacking type of cyclone set up. I am very happy that I decided to watch through and found out how wrong I was. You're a genius. Keep inventing and innovating.
Most well thought out dust cyclone setup I've seen

I really like the idea of attaching a multi-port electrical outlet to your cart. Thanks for posting.
Best design that I have seen yet!
Nice! I caught myself smiling and nodding my head all the way through this. Good job.
All this time/effort/thought/energy/engineering for a simple dust collection unit!? COOL!Its not about the time and effort, its about the satisfaction of a job well done and the fun getting there. 👍🏻
I had a half-formed idea, then I came across your video and you'd already perfected it!
I can see that you are very proud of your project, and you should be... Nicely done!
Wow! Charles, you really developed an ingenious, rugged, and sophisticated dust collection system here! I've definitely got some vacuum envy going on! Congratulations on a project well executed!
Great build! Most unique dust collection system I have viewed.
You brought in all your skills with a beautiful clean shop vac set up
Fabulous build. The best shop vac / cyclone combo I've seen
I have also watched a lot of cart videos. This is the best. Good job.
I’m just seeing this 3 years after you completed the project. Excellent work. I would buy one of your masterpieces.
VERY well thought out and executed idea!! I’ve been playing w a similar thought. Now I have a plan!

Superb, best one I have seen yet. Well done.

Great idea and a great example of building off previous ideas posted on RUclips!
Your official score for this video is 12 high-fives. That is the RUclips record for a video in the less than 20 minute category. Style points are also off the charts. Nice job!

Great job Charlie! Now add noise suppression and you've got a winner!
I wanted to like this but I couldn't guarantee the like would be perfectly centered and supported as well as providing space for the other likes to fit against it with a minimum of pressure so I will just say.. well done.
Very ingenious! Great video.

I take my hat off to you in all the thought process you went thru to make everything accessible.

Very Nicely done. I really like the way this was made. I need to address dust collection for my lathe and tablesaw.
Nice idea and Excellent work!!
Super M. Charles bravo.
Superb planning.
Really great project. I'd buy one!
Really a good idea and project and well implemented. Thanks for posting.
Very well done. If only I had a lathe. Total cost in labor and materials $4,000.00.
The new standard by which all others are measured. Your only possible crime is if and only if that’s a real Rolex. Otherwise, no demerits for you! 🤘🏼
well, certainly turned that one up to 11. Advice I give my kids all the time; "No such thing as over-engineering, because America."
Well done.
Welp, I know what I am going to build next!! Awesome design.
i like it. good job Charles !
Waw. I'm very impressed by this. Verry inspiring. A lot of really good ideas. Thank you
Amazing work and very smart! This is what I have been thinking of doing to mine.
Best design I've seen.
Thing of beauty. Truly inspired!
Absolutely superb, so much effort to detail, I have watched, like you, so many other video's, this has to be the best so far.
Beautiful build!
Nice design! Looks like you had a great time building it. You're the first dust collector builder I've seen use a lathe to do some of the round bits👍
Awesome build! Good job!
Very nice. best I have seen.

Well done , we all know vac bucket becomes redundant ..but few have matched your top mount arrangement..It does appear filter will stay cleaner..
Awesome Job Charlie!!
