- You can learn how to Crochet the Chromatic Cell Phone Case in this DIY video tutorial. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. I'll show you how to crochet my Chromatic Phone Case for your cell or other mobile device. This is a simple case to make because it contains just two granny squares. The solid granny squares eliminate the holes and spaces normally found with crochet.
I'm using a nice DK weight yarn from Hobby Lobby called Yarn Bee Sugarwheel Cotton. It comes wound in a yarn cake with long stripes of colors. It is a self-striping yarn; however I choose to cut the yarn into pieces by color. Then manually change the colors every two rows. But you can do whatever you wish, including just using one solid color.
I'm also using a size F 3.75 crochet hook as well as a 3/4 inch button. I hope you enjoy this video!

@naztazia you start in the 2nd stitch in round 2 after slip stitching to the first stitch and chaining one, correct?
I really love this phone case❣️ I'm not sure if you mentioned it since I was working on another project while watching this one. Can you fit any size phone in it? My children and grandchildren all seem to carry various sizes from big to small. This would be a great case for Christmas ❣️💛💜💙💚🧶
It fits "most" phones. You'll probably want to measure as I show in the video and add or subtract rounds if needed to accommodate other sizes.

Do you have to use DK yarn
What would you suggest on how to add at holder strap?
easiest way would be to pick 3 or 4 stichese from top and keep crocheting in rows till its the size you want then slip stich to same 3 or 4 stiches on the other side hope you understand what i mean you could also just make long chain say about 70 - 100 and use that as strap hope this helps

Is there a hobby lobby in your area? I searched and it never came up with one in Wiles Barre or Scranton. I'm in Bloomsburg. I had to place an order online cause I wanted a specific kinda hook they only sell. Please let me know if you can.
