Just to clarify that this channel is a stats channel and there is no politics intended in the video. Taiwan is listed as "Taipei and environs" under *Province/Region/City* of People's Republic of China by the World Health Organization (WHO). However, in this video, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao are listed separately from mainland China.
If you guys could understand that all I did was to present the data given by WHO and try to be as neutral as possible. The China after Taiwan could be understood as either the Republic of China or the People’s Republic of China. It is up to viewers to make the decision.

Just keep in mind these are raw numbers & not adjusted for the individual country's population. So for example, naturally the numbers are starting to accelerate for a higher populated U.S. at about 330 million vs. Italy's 60 million. In fact, it would be good to weight (divide) the numbers by population for all countries to get a uniform comparison.

South Korea really impressed me. Checking their place in the ranking now is really unbelievable. They were the most infected country after mainland China and now are one of the countries which can return to normal life again. Much respect.

Hey dude, if we underrated this it was just because it made sense. On our first lecture of hygiene and public healthcare we were taught not to take precautions if there's no need to, 'cause that would be a useless expense that could even worsen things. At the time, no alarming studies were available, and Chinese data was largely unknown. And overreacting would have costed on a first point an earlier slowing of an economy which is already unstable enough, and on another hand that would have made people think they were invincible because of safety measures, that would only have gotten their guards down.
After all, just think that we were the first country to stop flights from and to China (and we only had at the time two imported cases that had nothing to do with the current cluster in Lombardy)
I'd blame people who deliberately ignore this now (UK's policy about this got me mad, as well as US), but it's since the first days of March that we have alarming scientific papers about this
And just a few weeks ago, French made fun of Italy by showing an Italian man coughing on a pizza.
Now look where France is.
This has to be taken seriously.
Specially young people who don't care about getting the virus. You might be ok. But your parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle could die from it. You could be killing your teacher, family doctor or friend's parents. Be smart, safe and think of others. Societies are built on people doing their parts and striving for greater good together.

If people would just stay home, and stop having the "if I catch it, I catch it" attitude this curve would flatten by a significant amount. So many people acting like it's nothing due to the simple fact of it having flu like symptoms, and not understanding exponential growth. U.S already had cases from December, but they didn’t have the kits, so it was put under the flu. My friend had it real bad, all the symptoms of the covid, she had to do a CT scan for her lungs and tested negative for flu. It was so weird
She should retest to see if she has covid-19 antibody in her blood, to know if she was infected back then.
Many countries are like that! Iran is the same and in Australia they won't test you unless you have been in contact with a confirmed case or you are dying!
Look at how Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong kong just got 'kicked' out of the list
They especially Hong Kong has the experience of fighting infectious disease outbreak such as SARS in 2003. They have the awareness of hygiene. People are willing to wear masks in public places but Western people think this is wired so(most of them) do not wear marks.

I don't know the best way to handle it. Keep everything open and the sick and old at home and develop a herd immunity, or shut down the economy and flatten the curve only for it to re-emerge when places open back up. Best of health to you and your family.
Scott Arnest Ty man. I don’t mind places being open i’m not scared of the virus but i’m worried about my dad and my little brother cuz their body cannot handle the virus and when i’m going to school there’s a big chance of me bringing it home and infecting my family. Same for most of the other kids

Hi, I'm from Italy and yeah, that's a bad situation...
I feel more bad for UK, Spain, France and Germany because they will have hundred of thousand of cases if their governments won't react. Here we are trying to fix that situation and we can't exit home. Sooner or later the situation will get worse in many Europeans countries. Prayers won't help, likes neither, we must act.
I really hope Italy will become stable after a few days, though the current infection rate is too scary.The fact that even a highly developed and technologically advanced country like Italy fallen to this much outbreak scares the people in Developing countries like mine (India).
