Kind of losing respect for Simon. Ngannou put himself up there by going toe to toe with Fury. Joshua deserves ALL the credit for being exceptional and NOT Ngannou's control. If Ngannou wants to box and people want to see him does not matter what you think Simon. There is a buzz about boxing and we the boxing fans are absolutely loving it. Times have changed, we want more fights, fights that fans want to watch.

So true, for too long MMA fighters have been thinking these cross-over events are not as hard as people make it out to be. Anthony Joshua’s demolition job on Francis Nganou, has proved there are levels to this game, and the difference between a UFC veteran and a boxing veteran in a boxing match.
It’s safe to say the MMA fight world have understood you can’t just walk into boxing without putting in the hard yards and the experience.
    This was a lesson.
    AJ did boxing a favour.

@@Hassan87. He doesn't know anything about boxing.
MMA is a 190 rule play fight. You can't push or even grab someone's hand while they are choking you.
Thankfully it was more entertaining when Dan Hardy did it. Pre Usada. But all the do now is push their fingers towards each others eyes. Sometimes when their nails are long. Horrible sport.
I will say it again. Why is he talking about boxing?
Anyone who knew about boxing saw Joshua destroy British level fighters about 10 years ago. Like Hearn said. When not selling a fight. Francis wouldn't beat Johnny Fisher.
Dan Hardy. If he came into boxing at 170. His UFC weight. He's be in with people like Canelo and there wouldn't be a points loss like he got with George St Pierre. He would be obliterated.

And at 175 you've got Beterbiev and people like Anthony Yarde. Can you, in your wildest dreams imagine Dan Hardy taking on either? Please tell me.
Look at what Joshua did to their world heavyweight champion. Again, he rules didn't matter. Yes with 190 rules you can hug onto someone's leg in mma and they can't even push you off
But if I was going down a dark alley. I'd take a boxer. Wouldn't you?

Dan Hardy does have some valid points this is partly why MMA gets more traction. Very few fighters want to be in 50/50 fights or take tough fights where there is a potential to lose. TBF we can`t blame them, look how much stick Joshua has taken and the overall way he has been treated? Considering he is trying to fight as many top contenders tried many times for Wider and the Fury fight?
In heavyweights the only people that are risking and taking tough fights are Zhang, Parker, Joyce and Joshua. In the lowerweights we have Terrance Crawford, Bertev and Bivol, Cannelo is cherrypicking at the moment and ducking Benevidez, Devin Hayney is fighiting people. But these only make up a handful of people fight top competition I`m sure I have missed a few names but. This is why boxing is having alot of problems. Either no competition fights or in the case of alot of fighters only fighting 1 - 2 times a year with the exception of Canelo and a few others.

When I was young I was very good at karate and fighting. But when I boxed I saw with my own eyes, that I had to stay away from the opponent's arms and reach as real and dangerous as a rattlesnake. I was luckily faster than them on my feet and could stay away and move safely. But I saw and learned that a boxers tools are such a specialty and under their rules, they are the rulers. It is stupid to say that a boxer doesn't have a chance in MMA. He has. Many boxers can fight on the street and many can kick low kicks with tons of power after a few months training and are as strong as MMA fighters. It's very individual. And on the street, there are different rules yet meaning no rules and an MMA fighter could easily run into a hellbent furious different kind of fighter there as we are all bound of rules and perceptions. Just like you can't compare a dancer on ice skaters with an ice hockey player or a floor dancer you can compare different fighter disciplines. They have in time become specialists and anything else would now become depraved. Also dogs want excitement but we are not dogs and so have some self-discipline and do not get out of control neither excitement nor in hate.
