Hi Dmitry, we need to convince ilya you all need a third model! Law of threes in sales is not a theory it is a law... 3 choices better than two, just saying! Now to the rest of you. Owned and ridden Urals for over a decade, riding over 50 years. I live in Georgia. Snow? Please. Have used 2WD once, in a campground. I just don't do that level of off roading. I have an ancient full time 2WD Ural too, it is good for getting stuck and pushing one around corners, that's it.. That is why that is not available. If you do a lot of off road, pay extra get the 2WD. Just remember it is for 2 things. Getting stuck, or getting un-stuck when getting stuck in 1wd and for snow...that I don't have. Just traded a really nice 2019 Gear Up, that I actually like, for a new 2018 Retro. The last one Dmitri did where I commented, that one...it meets my needs. Get the one that meet yours! And he is right, optioning a CT up is more expensive than just getting the Gear Up with all the goodies...and the owner's manual is like an old car one, actually has real info in it! and I almost bought that cT instead of the Retro, but optioning it up would have driven the price up to the Retros or a Gear Up, so I didn't...
the geometry is different... the CT is therefore more stable on the roadway while the Gear Up is more dirt worthy... especially the 2 wheel drive requires some maintenance... well with the CT you don't have it so therefore no maintenance, nothing can break there, tire changes are easier... it comes down to really look into what you are doing... if you go down the county road or run through the woods on the search for a camp site with wife and kids down, otherwise take the Gear Up... for heavy duty off road riding take a dirt bike... I wouldn't want to break a Ural... which is hard to do anyway... if you still don't know then buy them both... Lol
Speed Demon on a your Al I got one pulled over for dawdling by a County Sheriff and we ended up yakking about about euros all the way to the bridge because nobody would passion because he had his lights on Speed Demon it isn't like it says in the manual and big black letters
