I hope that all of WA recognize that the corporate elected officials of our state have slowly been removing successful low income neighborhoods for the last several years. The population of the areas that Inslee and Constantine have been taking advantage of are much greater in number than the ones they protect. If we all stop reelecting these politicians we will see an immediate improvement. The CID is perfect the way it is but given a few more years of these "leaders" and it will be unrecognizable.

10/2022 King County is placing a 5 acre Mega Shelter 1 block South of Uwajimaya. 500 beds, 50 Tiny Homes and 50 RV parking spots. This is scheduled for Winter of 2022.
It's Government approved Block busting. A shelter takes people in for the night, feeds breakfast, then asks people to leave. They will go North to Chinatown and make it so undesirable that people won't go there. No customers, kills Mom and Pops businesses. They leave and the land is left for Developers to take over.
It happened to the Little Saigon neighborhood (12th & Jackson) with the 75 bed DESC Navigation Center.
Sad that a City that emphasizes Equity and Diversity shows no respect to such a Historic and Unique neighborhood. They still see it as a neighborhood of Ch*nks, J*ps and G**is they could care less about.
