Actually, I'm EXO-L. But to be honest, I love all BTS's songs. Especially this one. From the melody to the beat and the way BTS perform, everything harmonizes together to make the best version. Many people say that kpop is just for entertainment but I don't see it in BTS songs. Listening to their music, I feel that this life really meaningful, just that we haven't felt it yet. he was never supposed to be a vocalist (well from the beginning he was more rapper than a vocalist even tho he took some singing lessons during trainee period and even in 2013 he introduced himself as being in charge of rapping, dancing and singing). The rap line was created much earlier than a vocal line. In 2010 Bangtan was even supposed to be a hip hop group with all members rappers, and not an idol group. Now, to understand how incorrect is the story about Hobi and Tae switching their positions, you have to be familiarize with BTS pre-debut timeline. BTS members weren't auditioned/added at the same time but almost within 3 years time span. From the current lineup RM was first member of Bangtan, but there was actually other trainee rapper assigned at similar time Jung Hunchul, other trainee rappers added in 2010 were: Choi Ikje, Jin Hyosang, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok and Shin Donghyuk (now known as Supreme Boi- one of BigHit's producers). Jhope was the only dancer in the dorm, the rest boys were rappers. At that time Bangtan was supposed to be a hip hop group with all members rappers, not an idol group. That's why Hobi tried to learn how to rap, he said in the interview, he wanted to close the distance between him and others so he worked very hard to learn rapping. he was never supposed to be a vocalist (well from the beginning he was more rapper than a vocalist even tho he took some singing lessons during trainee period and even in 2013 he introduced himself as being in charge of rapping, dancing and singing). The rap line was created much earlier than a vocal line. In 2010 Bangtan was even supposed to be a hip hop group with all members rappers, and not an idol group.
Someone finally did a good introduction guide about Hoseok, and included all the information (only facts taken from reliable data) that other didn't bother to put into BTS guide video, he was always the member treated half-assed by the fandom.

On the other hand I posted a link to the interview with jhope who says how he became a rapper, but now I think you didn't bother to check it out, but instead you chose to enlighten me with your "facts"... I think I'll have to write everything from the beginning with links to back up this long post. Hoseok auditioned as a DANCER. Even tho he moved to the dorm and joined RM, Suga in December 2010 (being 3rd from the selected/current BTS members), he was actually 1st who signed a contract with BigHit in spring 2010 (info taken from BTS Season's Greeting 2019- Hobi said it himself ruclips.net/video/8Y6c9vMVnpQ/видео.html ).
Now, to understand how incorrect is the story about Hobi and Tae switching their positions, you have to be familiarize with BTS pre-debut timeline. BTS members weren't auditioned/added at the same time but almost within 3 years time span. From the current lineup RM was first member of Bangtan, but there was actually other trainee rapper assigned at similar time Jung Hunchul, other trainee rappers added in 2010 were: Choi Ikje, Jin Hyosang, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok and Shin Donghyuk (now known as Supreme Boi- one of BigHit's producers). Jhope was the only dancer in the dorm, the rest boys were rappers. At that time Bangtan was supposed to be a hip hop group with all members rappers, not an idol group. That's why Hobi tried to learn how to rap, he said in the interview, he wanted to close the distance between him and others so he worked very hard to learn rapping. In the early/mid 2011 BigHit released Hoseok's audition promo add where he dances and RAPS ruclips.net/video/xVmIUBvMhrI/видео.html (notice the date it was uploaded by someone on YT - 25 Jul 2011, obviously it was recorded earlier than that).
Now the first vocalist was added in June 2011, it was Jungkook. Basically BigHit change their vision and wanted to create an idol group. This was probably a main reason why some rappers left the dorm and Supreme Boi chose to become a producer.
