  • The Romanov family was the last imperial dynasty to rule Russia. They first came to power in 1613, and over the next three centuries, 18 Romanovs took the Russian throne, including Peter the Great, Catherine the Great, Alexander I, and Nicholas II. During the Russian Revolution of 1917, Bolshevik revolutionaries toppled the monarchy, ending the Romanov dynasty. Czar Nicholas II and his entire family-including his young children-were later executed by Bolshevik troops.

    I went to an exhibit of some of The Family's personal clothes, toys, n uniforms, at the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, NM. It was about 20 years ago..I especially remember Alexei's small uniforms, and toys....It was a traveling exhibit, from Russia. Also, bought an indepth book,.about the items, and their sad journey, in the end....❤❤❤

      I read where they left most of their items in the Alexander Palace when they were forced to leave. These items were they packed up as "belonging to the people" and there they sat for many years. Some of the clothing was used as packing when sending breakable items out of the Palace.

Tsar Nicholas II has died and he does not have any money in his personal account because he spent all his wealth to support his country's efforts during the world war. They lived and died according to the teachings of Christ. They spent their whole lives serving their country. Please do not believe everything you read about them. They were not evil or selfish. On the contrary, they were the biggest supporters of charitable works in their time. If you want to ask any question, I am always ready to answer. May the Lord bless you.❤❤❤🙏🙏🌹🌸🌻🌺🏵

      The eldest of the children was only 22 years old when they died. Hardly old enough to have accomplished much. The three older girls did a great deal of charity work during the war. As for their parents, they tried. What happened was a result of events that were pretty much out of their control.

    Sad is not the word for it, tragic wouldn’t begin to describe it. However, had Nicholas II been a better leader and realized how his political actions would affect that of his children, then he would never involve himself in WWI and had a plan to leave the country after abdicating. That his beautiful wife daughters and affected son suffered his fate was unfair. He should have had Kerensky gather all his relatives, their belongings and travel to Vladivostok and depart from there or put as much distance away from St. Petersburg.

    • @andythompson6874
      @andythompson6874 8 месяцев назад

      I enjoyed and concur with your sentiments. I have often wondered why Nicholas did not have a plan in place to get his family out of Russia, particularly after his own family killed Rasputin. I know they often talked of "retiring" to the Crimea and raising flowers, which was unrealistic. I'm sure the monarchs of Denmark and Sweden would have given them sanctuary, or perhaps even the United States if they had been asked. I understand the British King being nervous of accepting them and perhaps fostering revolution or other civil upheaval in England should the Romanovs have gone there. Entire French garrisons were in mutiny at this time so the King's concerns were valid. I have read that Nicholas and Alexandra never once considered leaving Russia, which was fine for them, but they should have at least tried to get the children out, though being away from Alexis would have sealed his death from illness.

    • @TsarMartyrNicholasII6537
      @TsarMartyrNicholasII6537  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your interest . It is worth noting that the entire Romanov family was under house arrest under the rule of the interim government and were not allowed to leave anywhere. No one expected the Bolsheviks to seize power so quickly. The Tsar and his family tried to apply for asylum in Britain, but it was rejected. The Tsar and his family had no time to escape because their living conditions were rapidly deteriorating without any outside help. It was Tsar Nicholas who proposed the idea of an international arms conflict, but his entry into the world war was not his personal decision, but rather because of the internal and external circumstances that imposed it.Tsar Nicholas was not responsible for the fate of his family because he tried to save them in every way. He was a father and a human being. In the end, he wished for his family to live in peace, but fate had a different decision.

      Poverty was everywhere and at all times, including in the Russian Empire. Nicholas II and his wife did everything in their power to help the poor. They donated money and clothes, held charity auctions for the poor, spent pensions, and reformed in all areas. The family of Nicholas II did not live in luxury. Rather, their lives, clothes, and food were simple, because they wanted to raise their children in an atmosphere of asceticism and humility as they lived.

    • @shecandance9500
      @shecandance9500 Год назад +4

      Yes! Nicholas II did such a good job at helping the poor there was no need for a Revolution in 1917! The needs of the people were met with clothing donations and money from charity auctions! The Empire routinely experienced droughts and famines which were exasperated by poor economic policies and management by the Czarist regime! The main causes of the Revolution mainly come from the suppression on the lower classes by the Czarist regime! It was the perfect storm for a Revolution in Russia in 1917! An incompetent ruler, economic crisis, and a party that offered a better way of life and doing things! Unfortunately, the people went from one bad form of government to another…Communism! Hindsight is always 2020! Maybe if the Czars had done things differently ….Russia could have survived and its people thrived! Alix enjoyed living like she was middle class, because of her grandmother Queen Victoria. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert wanted the image of the monarchy to be a middle class family! Given the Queen’s Hanover uncles who were gamblers, womanizers, illegitimate children, and in massive debt! The face of monarchy had to change to survive in GB! It gave the unhappy Alix comfort to live like her grandmother!

      With all due respect, this is not true. He knew exactly the needs of his people and did everything he could for them. He donated all his personal money to the poor and charitable projects and during World War I. He was the greatest of the Caesars ever through the reforms he carried out and through his morals. And his personal dealings.He was betrayed from within and without. Please do not judge him based on the movies and information available on the Internet because most of them are just Soviet rumours🙏
