      Try adding ginger

      Try adding a cornstarch slurry. Equal parts cornstarch and equal parts water mix it til combined and add that to the heated sauce until it gets to desired consistency.

      Add garlic and ginger, which this person forgot (2 cloves of grated garlic, and grated ginger) and a little half corn starch half water mixture to the sauce to get it to thicken, also honey is pretty good too if you want a sugar substitute but if not, brown sugar is better and you could try a little sesame oil too. 😊

      @@Mitchcamp94well, I’m pretty sure the creator didn’t forget any of those ingredients since none of them belong in teriyaki sauce. Teriyaki sauce is supposed to be shiny, so no garlic, ginger etc that clouds the sauce.

      @@joarsund3855 if you go to any Japanese restaurant and ask them what they use in their sauce, they'll tell you both garlic and ginger. plus if it's grated finely enough it wouldn't cloud anything.

    • @InkDevil999
      @InkDevil999 2 года назад +8

      It's been 7 months but I'll give you an answer.
      Just take some cornstarch and mix with water. Then add it a little at a time while stirring until you have the consistency you want.

      Another way is to first bring the mixture to a boil and then cook on medium high heat. When the alcohol starts simmering down the mixure thickens up a bit
