Why not put the quantities on the screen?
Got two out of the four I'll just comp with balsamic and red
Usually teriyaki at sushi restaurants is molasses with teriyaki flavoring
Nope
It also helps to put it in a container and leave it in the fridge for a few days

What is merin
It is a type of rice wine.. common ingredient in Japanese cooking😅
What is the exact measurements in making the sauce
Equal parts of each and 10 mg of sugar for every 10 ml of liquid
For example
30 ml soy sauce
30 ml sake
30 ml mirin
30 mg sugar
how long will this last ?
you forgot ginger my friend
No garlic no ginger?
No measurements ,
Thumbs. DOWN !
I tried this several times. When I cook it, it never gets thick. Just less and less sauce. This recipe sucks
Try adding ginger
Try adding a cornstarch slurry. Equal parts cornstarch and equal parts water mix it til combined and add that to the heated sauce until it gets to desired consistency.
Add garlic and ginger, which this person forgot (2 cloves of grated garlic, and grated ginger) and a little half corn starch half water mixture to the sauce to get it to thicken, also honey is pretty good too if you want a sugar substitute but if not, brown sugar is better and you could try a little sesame oil too. 😊
@@Mitchcamp94well, I’m pretty sure the creator didn’t forget any of those ingredients since none of them belong in teriyaki sauce. Teriyaki sauce is supposed to be shiny, so no garlic, ginger etc that clouds the sauce.
@@joarsund3855 if you go to any Japanese restaurant and ask them what they use in their sauce, they'll tell you both garlic and ginger. plus if it's grated finely enough it wouldn't cloud anything.
Is this legit? Btw how did u get the consistency of the sauce?
It's been 7 months but I'll give you an answer.
Just take some cornstarch and mix with water. Then add it a little at a time while stirring until you have the consistency you want.
@@InkDevil999 Oh ok thanks I was still waiting for an answer
Another way is to first bring the mixture to a boil and then cook on medium high heat. When the alcohol starts simmering down the mixure thickens up a bit
Buff !!
Second again 😣
you scorched off all the alcohol, you wanna heat it just enough to melt the sugar, bottle , then use as needed
Aren’t you supposed to cook off the alcohol?
@@hisup1397 yeah, you are, you use it for the flavor and not the alcoholic effect 😂
So? Alcohol leaves behind flavour upon being evaporated out of a sauce, the goal isn’t to get drunk
Never ceases to amaze me how many people talk straight out of their ass on the internet.
how about whiskey?
