    Burdock Chips (Gobō Chips) Vegan Gluten-Free Recipe
    Difficulty: Very Easy
    Time: 10 min
    Number of servings: 2~3
    Ingredients:
    1 Gobo (burdock root)
    deep frying oil
    salt
    Directions:
    1. Scrape Gobo with the back of a kitchen knife to remove the skin. You can use pre-washed Gobo as is.
    2. Slice Gobo and soak in water (or vinegar water) for 5 minutes.
    3. Drain well with paper towel, and deep fry in oil at 180C (350F) until crisp light golden brown.
    4. Sprinkle the fries with salt or seasoning of your choice to finish.
    *Burdock root gets very bitter if you deep fry too brown. Make sure you remove from the oil when they are slightly brown.

    Burdock root gets very bitter if you deep fry too brown. Make sure you remove from the oil when they are slightly brown.

    片栗粉と薄力粉を1:1の割合でまぶしてから揚げるとサクサク感が増しますよ。
    味付けは塩にほんのちょっとの味の素かダシダを加えると美味しいです。
    青のりを加えてのり塩にしても良いですね。
