@@yozy-. there is a zigzag walkway near my house that is essentially the same as the bars on this course, with descending rows of handrails, but there is so many more visual obstacles and unforgiving edges that keep me psyched out. I'm still getting there (when it's not raining), but if I had a course like this I am confident I could complete those bars clean.

I just can't jump over bars like this. I always get scared thinking they will slip under my shoes, and falling like that would be hella ugly and painful

Naw man. When you do this stuff for years it will actually reinforce your joints, unless you do something thats out of your skill level or injure yourself. As long as he does neither of those he will still be running full sprint when he's 60. Coming from a practioner of the sport.
@@dited358 I work in medicine and yes as long as he doesn't get injured he should be fine, but cartilage in your ankles and knees have a very limited ability to repair itself. Eventually it will be worn away and you will have bone on bone grinding and will need knee replacements.

@@sobmadrox unfortunately bone joints have nothing to do with training or eating, and shock impact affects them. Maybe you don't feel it at your 30's but you definitely will pay it at your 50's

The most impressive thing actually, is how he can still walk with those legs, i jump off a 1 metre block and almost brake my knee but this guys jumping atleast 5 meters every second and on top of that hes decending a mountain.
If you practice falling you can soften the fall by bending your legs. At the same time stronger muscles will handle your weight and tank the force, so your bones and joints don't have to. So basically, a mix of strong legs and practice allow you to fall from higher. It's like if your legs were a spring that cushions the fall.
He's not jumping 5 meters at any point in this video.
If you're weak, stiff and inexperienced(by the sound of it you are very out of shape) it's guaranteed recipe for disaster. Start slow.

Yea, you guys didn't see the thousands and thousands of people that came out to watch that. With a couple minutes of practice you could get that good one day.
@@thechitownclown8972 Yes a lot of that course was pretty easy but there were sections that are not easy. You can't say that you can get that good with a couple of minutes of practices. Look at 0:36 He was jumping from bar to bar all while going downhill. You can't tell me that the average person could do that after a couple minutes of practice. And then there is 0:49 Now it might be the camera angle but to me, it looks like he jumped to a higher bar and the distance was pretty long too. That's another thing I can bet the average person wouldn't be able to master after a few minutes.

I just watched a video of another guy going down the entire course, and I swear to you, over 50 people were just SITTING on the courses, or standing around taking selfies _IN HIS WAY._ It drove me crazy! It’s a miracle no one got hurt and the guy maneuvered around them like a champ. Most of them paid no attention to him at all.
