I have fibroids now I've had 2 surgeries since 2012 to get them removed. This is my 3rd time getting them. I am now 8 weeks pregnant at 35 after a miscarriage earlier this year. I feel like Eve & I are going through this together ❤

I think its like 60 to 70% of black women suffer from fibroids in comparison to other races of women. I was told by several OBGYN....when I grow them...I GROW them.... they are huge!!! I was told I would not have children after my 1st surgery in 2012 (which was performed by one of the best BLACK male doctors who specializes in unary fibroids ✊🏾).....due to scaring (full c-section like scar)...I was misdiagnosed with hydrosalpings in 2016....& told my tubes would need to be removed & the only way I could have children would be through IVF (INSTANTLY GOD TOLD ME TO BE STILL....SO GREATFUL I LISTENED) a black female doctor here in Kentucky did something with my fimbriae during my 2nd surgery which was a myomectomy I. 2019. I was told it was stuck together after my 1st surgery also that I did not have hydrosalpings (which is fluid in the tubes). On my b day in 2021 I got pregnant for the very 1st time & although I lost it....I think GOD i had the chance to experience that little life for 2 months.....found out on November 7th 🤰🏾 this time I saw the baby & heartbeat at 7 weeks. I just know its a boy & he will be healthy. Im due 7/19/22!!! Im so excited!!!!

I think more research needs to be dedicated to this matter since it effects so many of us & affects our life.
I agree with everyone. Keep us posted. I had a myomectomy on 9/11/2001. I lost my first due to a miscarriage in January 2003. In 2005 my 2nd baby was delivered. In 2007 my 3rd was delivered. God is a healer and our prayers will continue to go up for you.

I was diagnosed with fibroids eleven years ago at 45 after almost passing out. I was anemic and had a blood transfusion because my levels were so low. My black, female doctor suggested an “Oblation”. A non-surgery, in-office procedure where she went in and lasered out the fibroids. I haven’t had a period since. I should mention that I had already had my kids and fertility was not an issue, however it was minimally invasive.

Similar story. Myomectomy in November and pregnant in March. I found out on my 39th birthday. My son is now 11.

Black women are the hardest hit with fibroids. My grandmother, my mother and her sister all suffered with them. I am blessed that I have never experienced them. Well wishes to Eve and baby!

*I literally shed tears when I found out she was pregnant. Conception is SO HARD these days for women of color let alone women in general. I struggled w/fibroids. I was able to adopt my baby bc my body just wouldn't allow me to carry. Women are so "hush" about fibroids so kudos to her speaking out. Sending support to all women who DESIRE TO BE MOTHERS🥰💋*

In tears. No one tells you about this. I didn't know why my IRON was always off. Periods with blood streaming down my thighs for days. Wearing two to three pads and a tampon. Losing patches of HAIR..I decided a week ago to go forward with the UFE. IM DONE WITH THE EMBARRASSING SYMPTOMS. So over it.
I can relate, except for patches of hair loss. Never had any children but I never tried either. Had scarring on tubes from swelling. My period finally stopped this year at 59! crime scenes til the end

Had a UFE in 2011, it only lasted a couple of years. Fibroids grew back & bigger. Went thru super tampons & pads every hour. Finally decided on a hysterectomy in 2021. 48 with 2 adults kids, not having anymore.

Whew...it is so good to hear someone else talk about the struggle with pregnancy and fibroids. I suffered a miscarriage because of fibroids and was completely ready to give up but thank God I didn't because I now have a beautiful 15 mo. old angel that just makes my day! Ladies that suffer from this, please know that you are not alone and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Tamron Hall is the BEST to ever do it!!!! She is amazing! My daughter fell in love with her when she was 5 yrs old. I kid you not!!!! I had a to write a letter or send an email to Fox 32 Chicago for them to say hi to her on air because she watched Tamron every morning before school. Lol!!!!!’😂😂😂😂😂😂 My daughter is now 22 yrs old. Graduating from college and Tamron is still making us proud!!!!!! I love it! I absolutely love it! So proud of your journey Tamron! 😊 God Bless You!!!! (She never got the shout out but we still loved Tamron and still watched daily!) lol!!!!!!
I had the same struggles with fibroid tumors having been taken to the emergency room on several occasions. I had a myomectomy in 2009 which stopped my cycle all together which was bittersweet because I have no children. God please continue to bless Eve and her family and thank You for their beautiful blessed event to come. 👶🏼💞
P.S. I was in tears when she mentioned DMX would immediately pray. He would have. He had "light" that is why he was targeted by challenges.
♥️Eve - it takes such bravery and courage to be transparent about personal health struggles. The multi-headed monster of fibroids is one struggle that impacts so many women, primarily of color, which impacts fertility and quality of life, yet gets very little press or main stream media attention. Women suffer silently for years even with regular OBGYN appts. Period pain or heavy periods are not normal and if your regular doctor won’t help…seek out a specialist that will.
Eve just spoke to my fibroid and pregnancy story. Ladies-- we need to educate ourselves about fibroids, living as stress free as possible, eating well, and making better life choices. ✌🏾

I had a full hysterectomy several years ago, treatment & surgery has improveed so much since the early 2000's, but would strongly advise you to have them removed if diagnosed with them

My periods were painful that I would have to miss work because I couldn't walk sometimes. I had a myomectomy, use, and finally a partial hysterectomy to literally save my life because my hemoglobin was so low my Dr wondered how I didn't fall over.

I had a myomectomy in 2012. Finally had my son in 2019 because I also have thyroid issues. I was 39 when I had my son. They Grew back so I’ll probably need another one soon.
Look for iodine deficiency and ( cyst in general) fibroid, get rid of sugar, any food that is rich with xeno estrogen , pay attention to your iron and ferritin, intermittent fasting. I hope this helps. Btw congratulations on your baby.

I wish I can become a fibroid awareness speaker,to go to high schools, universities, all over.many women and ladies are in the dark when it comes to fibroids.
I had UFE Uterine Fibroid Embolization at UCLA in October and it has changed my life, no longer dangerously anemic, no more crime scene periods, no more emotional roller coasters and I don't crave ice anymore. I'm so happy with Dr. Cheryl Hoffman. I just feel so much energy now. I do Keto as well and my stomach is steadily going down since my procedure. They also went through my wrist to perform this procedure. I'm grateful. I wish I would have had done this sooner.

While pregnant with 2nd son, March 1990 a fibroid cyst burst! I thought I was having a miscarriage. Oct. 1990, my son was born. About 3 months later, I passed out, was rushed to the hospital because the cyst were growing. Didn't know NOTHIN' about a myomectomy.
When I was in my early 20's I went to a OBGYN about my pain, migraines, nausea, and felt like I was having a period twice a month. She literally responded, start taking birth control. Twenty years later I'm learning that I should have never started BC and wished I had had the knowledge I have now to keep searching for answers.............
Exactly same with me Eve. From childhood to adulthood. Finally had surgery n yes they came back, did another surgery. AND yes when those surgeries were done, the extreme pain went away. IT WAS ALSO an EMOTIONAL mental journey for me among other things...

So many of us women are suffering in silence and you share your concerns with your doctor they keep giving you pain killer that will not help. Sis if you are not confident in your doctor get a second opinion. I did and I have multiple fibroid am set to do surgery next year to remove the uterus but am bless with too beautiful girls. I have always loved Eve. Congrats!!! May she have a healthy baby! I have fibroids currently. I know her pain. Did a video about it on my channel. Went to the doctor a week ago, and first thing out her mouth was “we recommend a hysterectomy”. I was like “I ain’t doing that🙄!”. I’m 41, still in my reproductive age, so I ain’t doing all that! These Doctors are quick to recommend Hysterectomy!!!! I asked her, what about a myomectomy? As I did my research! Then, it was then that she said yes to a myomectomy . It’s scheduled for February 2022... but I am still thinking about even doing that. Currently I’m on a water fast (3 days in), as I believe fasting can heal your body.

You should look into
Uterine fibroid Mobolization, UFE. I did it and I'm great. This was my second surgery to remove Fibroids. This is minimally evasive surgery. You are up in one to ten days. Changing your diet is a great idea too. More greens, fruit, water and less processed foods. Do a lot of research, ask questions, get second opinions. Be your bodies stewart. I was told to get a hysterectomy, I said no and researched UFE. It's been 4 years now.

I too had painful periods as a young girl and well into my forties. I had a partial hysterectomy and I was relieved of the pain but now I wish I could’ve known of a medication that would have delayed or eliminate the need for surgery.

I had endometriosis, from the age of 12, I started my periods when I was 10. I was diagnosed at 28, had my miracle son at 30. I was told I'd never have a child. If you know anyone with period pain, go to the GP,don't wait, I waited 16 years to be told what the problem was. I had excruciatingly painful periods and missed so much of school. I graduated, but those were really dark, painful times. I had periods lasting 2 to 3 weeks, and had one that lasted 14 months. My life changed when I got Depo injections, I don't have periods anymore and I'm so glad my son won't ever go through this.
Just discovered 6mths ago I had fibroids @50!! Just had an ablation 2weeks ago! So glad ppl are talking abt it.

I can relate. I had a partial hysterectomy in 2012. I suffered with fibroids all of my young adult life. My periods made life hell for 5-7 days every month and I had two procedures to 1st remove the tumors and and the 2nd one in order to reduce their growth, but it only returned with vengeance. Living my better days since the hysterectomy, but wish there are more advances about its origins and why black and latino women suffer disportionally from it in the western hemisphere.

@@thegoatess66one28 Hi can you share the doctor's contact or hospital in Queens? My Obgyn was in Queens Village and retired earlier this year. I saw another one on Long Island who refuses to do another myomectomy or laproscopy on me (I had myo in 2003 and lapro in 2012). Thanks.
My myomectomy was in 2016, it was so scary. They took 16 out and thought before surgery it was only 3 of them. After I healed, my lower back did stop hurting, but my cramps are worse now than before the surgery; I had the top 5 doctors in Houston to perform it. Every woman is different. It's been more than five years and they are back......ughhhhhhhhh I'd love to have a child but in order to do so, i'd probably need another myomectomy, heal and get pregnant immediately after!!! The thought of it, is depressing and scary!!
Diet is a huge cause of fibroids growing back. Sugar is usually the main culprit.
@@alycat9186 Well sis..I eat healthy 80-85% of the time and workout 6 times a week, but ya girl does have a sweet tooth. However, they do run in my family on my mother's side too.
