Unlike modern day Hinduism, nature worship has been very integral part of vedic culture. I think we can safely conclude it is a tribal branch of Hinduism. I hope Pakistan will protect them from forceful conversion

All early religions had nature worship, and all religions evolved from that. All religions in the world have a degree of similarities when you dig deep, that doesn't mean they are related.
Similarities mostly exist by coincidence, not necessarily by design.
The term Hindus was coined by persians for people of indus Sindh. It literally means Kala chor. Ghouri created his kingdom after conquering multi-religious, multi-cultural, multi linguistic region he named it Hindusthan and started calling non Muslims as Hindus. Then Britain created India after re conquering historically, culturally, linguistically and racially separated nations one by one. To unite polytheists against Muslims, during Late 1800's ,viveknanda, Gwaliar, Arya Smaj, RSS schools of thought started hallucinating all regions under British empire as Akahad Bharat that never existed. Maurya Kushan were from Northwest ( current Pakistan) and have always nvaded ganga jamuna. Mauryans alone killed 5 million ganga Jamnis. He didn't know what Hindu, Hindusthan, Bharat, or India is. Ask South Indians, They hate kingdoms of Indusvally and were refusing to call themselves Hindus until Indra Gandhi bombed tamil Tigers twice.

The Kalash people are primarily practitioners of the traditional Kalasha religion, which is a form of Animism and Ancestor worship mixed with Ancient Hinduism. Mahandeo is a deity whom the Kalash pray to and is known as Mahadev in other languages of the Indian subcontinent in modern Hinduism.The faith adhered to by the Kalash have both pre-Vedic and Vedic influences and resembles the form of ancient Hinduism.

Your brother's and sisters who migrated to Ladakh hundreds of years before have strictly preserved Kalashi culture. Today they are spread around five villages with a population of four thousand. Their villages are called Aryan vally of Ladakh. Villages are Dha, Hana, Darchik, Garkon and Byama. They are known as Drokpa buddhist. As per the recent order of Government of India you can get citizenship of India. You just have to declare that you are a branch of Aryan vally of Ladakh ,Drokpa buddhist. This is the only way you can preserve your thousand year old culture ,Like Aryan vally. You have to get out of the totally intolerant Islamic society and culture.

@@Rupaligreat Maurya empires specially Ashoka killed many buddhists, destroyed their temples but later he converted into that religion. Now i know about the bengals better that rest of india, here king shashank deliberately killed many buddhists and monk, drove them out to Nepal,bhutan. Then came shen Dynasty(radical hindu brahmin empire), they destroyed Buddhists scripture, stopped old Bengali language to be used and imposed sanskrit instead.

In Bharat we follow spring festival as new year in April. Then in August, we follow harvest festival. Again Diwali in October or November, when again we say new season or new year begins. Different flowers considered to be liked by different gods, different plants worshipped. Water, fire, sun, moon are respected. We sing, dance in our festivities.

@@rkrchaturvedi Technically Chitral was a princely State and a vassal of Kashmir. However, I believe the ruler of Chitral chose to go with Pakistan. Only part of Chitral is Kalasha the rest of the region was majority Muslim by this time.

For those saying this has nothing to do with Hindu religious traditions are misguided. The fact remains that the Kalasha religious traditions and practices are an early branch of the Vedic religion. Most of the deities they worship are mentioned in the Vedas. Nature played a very important role in the Vedic religion. The distance from Nature is also a very recent development in Hindu religious traditions. It is fascinating how many of the orthodox traditions the Kalasha still practice which are dying out even among orthodox brahmins in India today.

Kalasha are just 1 part of greater Daradistan region, which goes in an arc from East of Kabul valley to Kashmir valley, marking the Northern border of Greater Punjab plains.
This consists of Nuristan, Kohistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral and finally the Kashmir valley itself.
These societies are nothing but peripheral (peripheral means non-mainstream) "Arya" or "Hindu" but both terms are problematic due to modern day politics. Vedic society evolved and destroyed in Punjab plains but they absorbed a few things but mainly remained aloof from history.
I would sayya that they are Parvatiya Adivasi or Mountain Adivasi, just like we have Santhals/Munda which are Forest Adivasis in Jharkhand. They are not "mainstream Hindus" but peripheral Hindus.
