If a landmark casts a shadow toward the gold mine at sunset you'd have to know at what time of year it points that way, otherwise it could lead you way wide of the location you want.
Hoppy ,kalifornia lucky . But I like fuzzy . Or was he shot from the flick. He just shot ah man . Now they ready to steal an to then kill for gold. Come on hoppy. Thanks for the loads
In Border Vigilantes and Rustlers' Valley, Ankrum plays a good guy, but it's rare not to see Hoppy give Ankrum a beating. Even archvillian Victor Jory plays a good guy in Riders of the Timberline
You know Lucky was really only 17 years old. People just looked older back then. California was really in his 30's.🤣 Actually in reality William Boyd was only three years younger than Andy Clyde. Both started out during the silent era. Clyde hailed from Scotland and was a close friend of James Finlayson of Laurel and Hardy fame. Finlayson who worked with Clyde on stage in Scotland wrote Clyde to come to Hollywood and get in the movie business around I917. He joined the Keystone Cops under Max Senet. Andy Clyde's film career was longer and out lasted both William Boyd and Russel I Haydens into the early 1960's.
Always loved these old Hopalong Cassidy movies. Especially the ones with George Reeves (1950's Superman) and Robert Mitchum (before he was famous) as a no name henchman of the main bad guy. They must have had their own acting company because they regularly employed the same actors in different parts.
Still Loving the heck out of this in February 2022
Love Hoppy and cast, especially his laughter.
Hoppy also loaned his horse out to The Lone Ranger.😁
Nice movie with Hooppy ❤️ thank you
Loved this show, reminds me when l saw my first tv show ,when l was a Young boy six or seven years old
Loved his laugh most sincere!
How do they keep their hats on in a fight.
Those gangster movies too.
Cracks me up.
HELLO FROM ALASKA
my grandpa used to tell me they had threads on their head like a bolt and they just screwed theirs hats on. haha
Fencing staples.
Just your ears my Grandad told me.
love those fights where the movements are sped up.
I grew up watching Hoppy, but this is the first time I ever saw him not dressed all in black.
Actually William Boyd wore a dark blue outfit. It merely looked black because this was shot in black and white, not color
WHAT A LAUGH!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing to beat hoplong movies
Gene is as far as I can go back, too young at 70 years old.
Hoppy to the rescue!
Awesome movie thank you 🙃☕❤❤❤❤

Howdy
I've yet to watch a single Morris Ankrum movie where He wasn't a total douche bag !

The dumbest guy in movies is the old guy that makes a strike and goes around town bragging about it.
Lucky has no thinking apparatus...why the writers never let him mature makes no sense...show would be more exciting without his juvenile attitude.
Anthony..you nailed it..you would think after being around Hopalong and sharing many adventures, some of it would have stuck in his brain..
